If you are looking for a great vacation home in a peaceful location, this may be it!
It is located in a quiet rural residential area, with easy access to all sorts of fun.
Set at the end of a cul-de-sac on a short, dirt road, the home is fairly nondescript from the front. It was manufactured in 1996 and has a block foundation, vaulted ceilings, a large living room with 2 comfy couches and an overstuffed chair.
There is a game table off to the side, near the electronic dart board. The waterfront side of the home is what will really knock your socks off! 900 square feet of deck cantilever toward the creek.
The bullfrogs, ducks and songbirds abound! Sometimes a heron lands on the balcony rail. Plenty of patio furniture to enjoy the great outdoors, steps lead down to the creek where you can enjoy the sights and sounds from a rustic wooden bench set between two trees.
Elevation is about 6350 feet, lots of juniper, not many pine trees. Definitely cooler weather than the valley cities! About 3.5 hour drive from Tucson or Phoenix. In winter we generally have less snow than Pinetop/Lakeside because of our lower elevation.
The master bedroom is large and overlooks the deck and creek. There is a queen size bed and a full size futon. One bedroom has queen size bunk beds and the other has a queen bed.
Our home is clean, but admittedly the carpet is worn.
Between allowing pets, active guests and being right on the water, the carpet shows its age. We have no plans to replace it in the near future because we have so many guests that like to travel with their pets. If you have pet allergies, be advised that pets have stayed here.
If you are looking for elegance, this is not the place. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place at a good price, this may be the place! Look around the site, compare prices and contact us if you want more information.

About LeRoy and Nancy
We are a family that loves the outdoors and love to escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. This home is a peaceful getaway. Comfortable and quiet. Inspiring creek side views and amazing stargazing. We have celebrated many holidays in this home and all our friends love to spend the weekend. There is something for every one to enjoy and room for lots of company to sleep over!
LeRoy and Nancy purchased this Mobile Home in 2005
Why LeRoy and Nancy chose Show Low
This home is just under 4 hours from Tucson or Phoenix, which makes for an ideal weekend trip. We are located downstream from a state trout hatchery, some fishing rods are available in the home. We are in a community with the largest private lake in Arizona. Motor boats allowed, water skiing, canoeing, sailing, swimming and fishing all happening less than 10 minutes from our home. (Bring your own boat!) Winter trips can include a visit to Sunrise Ski Resort just an hour and a half away and casino action available at Hon Dah casino, just past Pinetop. Lots of restaurants and activities year round. Lots of hiking and lakes in the area. Horseback riding about 15 minutes away. About 90 minutes from Canyon De Chelly and Petrified Forest National Park and Painted Desert National Park. A great place to enjoy all four seasons in Arizona.
What makes this Mobile Home unique
Although we are located a bit out of town, we enjoy the peaceful lifestyle without being very rural. The water front is a huge draw, the stars at night are phenomenal! We see just six lights in view of the surrounding area from the deck. We see lots of water fowl including ducks and heron, an occasional beaver or fox and even the occasional eagle flying by. This may be a great base camp for hunters looking for more than a primitive cabin in the area too.

Location Type
- RuralOur home is in the small community of White Mountain Lake about 20 minutes from Show Low and 10 minutes from Taylor.
- WaterfrontThis is very unusual in Arizona to have waterfront property which is why we fell in love with it. We sit on a pond created by the dam at Silver Creek. Families and kids swim and fish off the dam. Silver Creek is stocked with trout upstream at the trout hatchery by Arizona Fish and Game. In addition there is a private lake within 1 mile of our home that allows boating, water skiing, fishing etc.

Great place!
Wonderful trip with my mom and four grown daughters! It will be a lasting memory for all of us.
Nice , relaxing get away!
This house has everything you need and provides peace and quiet.
Perfect getaway!
We LOVED this home - it was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet neighborhood, stunning views, all the comforts of home. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway, and being able to bring our dogs with us and enjoy the scenery and outdoors with them was perfect for us. We even thoroughly enjoyed the thunderstorms that swept up over the mountains. We didn't bring the kids with us, but the house has PLENTY of space for them if we had. Would love to stay here again, maybe we'll bring them with us next time! Thank you, LeRoy & Nancy, for being accommodating to us and for letting us share your wonderful home for the weekend!
We are glad you enjoyed our home! We love it for the same reasons you do and we hope you come again.
Tranquill, restful & loads of things to do near by♡
We were only minutes from Taylor/Snowflake, Pinetop/Lakeside, and Show Low. Making the location perfect for us. The views & melodies of nature on the back deck were so amazing! We got lost in the amount of stars and solar activity that appeared at night. ...! Mere words would not serve justice! Ample beds for a large family and secluded enough for two. Nancy & LeRoy were gracious enough to allow our 3 little "fur children" on their property making it much more enjoyable for us. (Many "pet properties" only allow 1 or two pets. ) Our "fur babies/dogs" were entertained on the back patio by two tiny geckos poping out to play each morning we had breakfast on the deck. The WiFi made it easy to keep in touch and with cable TV, dvds and games available there was always something to do. I enjoyed listening to and watching the nearby reparian wildlife one doesn't expect in AZ while drinking the fresh , cold water from the tap! Better than any bottled water you'll find! My husband enjoyed the trout fishing at the nearby Silver Creek Game& Fish station. The grill on the patio made outdoor meals amazing. We met friends at the local Trappers family restaurant in Taylor to enjoy a delicious homemade meal in one & their fresh pieces of pie made daily. One evening we hosted a dinner and everyone enjoyed desert on the back patio while watching the sunset after a refreshing rain shower, cooled the air with the scent of the Juniper trees. The home has a washer and dryer available so we could wash our clothes allowing us to pack light. (Bring your own laundry cleaners as a courtesy). Any daily cleaners you would need were readily available. (Brooms, dish soap, vac) Anything you may of forgotten, we purchased at the New (2016)local Super Walmart in Taylor(10 min away) Sipe Mountain Ranch is a short scenic drive away. We really enjoyed a last minute picnic in Snowflake under the large age old trees. Our dogs enjoyed the soft grass and shade of the massive trees in the family friendly park. 15-20 min drive in the other direction was Show Low, Pinetop/Lakeside. We could go to the Hub for target practice, Darcy's for an amazing lunch with friends or pop in at the Casino for a bit of gambling or a delicious buffet. This location was great for us! There is a "pet sitting service" on White Mountain Lake Rd if you are going to be gone more than your pets bladder could hold (a few hours). Terriffic slice of heaven, here on earth! TY
We are glad you had a great time. You really explored the area and I know others will appreciate some of those recommendations!
We hope you come visit our home again soon.
Thank you!
Loved it here!! Will be back!!!
Great place to relax!
We stay at this property from Dec 26th-30th. We have to young boys ages 7 and 5, we also brought our 2 dogs with us. We found the place very comfortable, it is not fancy but has everything you are going to need. The neighborhood was very quiet. We had a great time just playing pictionary! My kids liked it so much, they didn't want to leave. Because it's winter we didn't hang to much on the deck but it will be interesting checking it out in the summer. My dogs loved the outdoors!
Location
We are in a rural area about 20 minutes from Show Low proper. If you are looking for elegance, this is not the place for you! If you want a quiet, private get away, this could be the place. Our home is sited on a pond formed by the damming of Silver Creek, a locally well known creek for trout fishing. The creek is on Hatchery Rd, stocked by AZ Fish and Game Department. The hatchery is about 1/2 mile away and in addition to great fishing offers a nice hike up to the hatchery raceway where you will probably see the largest trout in your life! We have a private community lake that is fed by Silver Creek. The water is generally turbulent because of the creek running through so is not a beautiful blue color. There is a designated swim area with a raft and picnic tables at the beach. Motor boats are allowed and can tow skiers and share the lake with sailboats, pontoon boats, kayaks, fishing boats and canoes. The nearest boat rentals are in Show Low, but you are welcome to bring your own. We like the area because we have access to the Show Low, Lakeside and Pinetop shopping or can choose to go north to Snowflake and Taylor to avoid the crowds on holiday weekends. We are about 15 minutes from stables at Flag Hollow Ranch. Our 8 and 10 year old nieces loved their first trail ride through the woods and past the lake. We are about 5 miles from Pintail Lake which is a handicap accessible park for wildlife viewing. (By the way, our home is pretty handicap accessible with a ramp to the deck to avoid the front steps, you do have to go through gravel to reach the ramp though.) It is about an hour and 20 minutes to Sunrise Ski Resort, a year round attraction with its beautiful mountain, chair lift rides and mountain biking in the summer/ skiing, snowboarding, sledding and wagon rides in the winter. We love the casual comfort of the home, the easy accessibility from Tucson or Phoenix and the peace and quiet. There are a few places to dine in the area: Hole in One which serves only great burgers, Silver Creek Golf course about 1 mile away which has a casual restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner in summer, and the Red House Pizza which delivers. 12 minutes away is the Stanford General Store near Hwy 60 & 61. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner made to order, plus a deli counter. You will find various restaurant menus in our information book. Our home was manufactured in the 1996, has high ceilings and has a block foundation. The carpet is older, but because we do allow pets at this time we choose not to replace it. We clean it regularly, but it does show it's age. Between the pets, the active guests and the proximity to the pond, the carpet does get a lot of wear. We took the property photos ourselves, they are accurate, but we have had guests who said the property did not meet their expectations. This is not a luxury rental and the price reflects that.
