Overview

About the property

Condo, 3 bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-10) Upstairs bath includes a sauna.

Our condominium is located within easy walking distance of Jackson Hole Arial Tram and lifts, almost ski in and ski out. It has a master bedroom which sleeps 2, an upstairs bedroom which sleeps 4, a bunk room which sleeps 4 and a hide-a-bed in the living room that sleeps 2. Two full baths, including a sauna. There is easy access from the parking lot and space for children to play outdoors. We also have ski and bike storage racks. Upper and lower patios provide relaxing views to rest and read or grill and eat outside. WiFi and cable television, fully equipped kitchen, and proximity to base area make this condo a comfortable, relaxing place to stay.

Rental fee includes free access to Sundance Tennis and Swim Club with its outdoor heated pool, 2 hot tubs, a children pool, lockers, showers, lounges, picnic area and tennis courts and jacuzzi, just a short distance south on Morley Dr.

The local eating places are excellent and there are cool shops in the Village. Watch for great sales on skis and clothing during off shoulder seasons. Free shuttles not only provide transportation around the Village, but run frequently from Teton Village to the town of Jackson Hole where you'll find night life, a wide range of restaurants, museums, and shopping just minutes away. For a fun day, plan a trip through Grand Teton National Park, 5 minutes away, or Yellowstone National Park, about an hour away.

In the winter you can rent snowmobiles and see the parks the way nature intended. There are many cross- country skiing and snowshoeing trails around the Village and Grand Teton National Park.

For summer activities, the Snake River is famous for its white water rafting. The 'U-Paddle' is definitely the most fun. There is an age limit on children so check with the company before making reservations. The 'scenic' part of the Snake is for everyone. On it you'll see beaver, osprey, eagles and, occasionally, moose along the banks. There is hiking on the mountain (free tram ride down if you hike up), biking (fun trails for all abilities), boating (Jackson Lake), backpacking, horseback riding and swimming to keep visitors entertained and recreating.

One more 'not to miss' event, is to spend an evening listening to the Bar-J Wranglers croon cowboy songs and comedy at the Bar-J Ranch, located on the Teton Village road. The Wranglers do a great job singing western music and serving up a delicious 'chuck-wagon' dinner. Fun for the whole family and large groups. Reservations required.

Keywords: Comfortable, close to Tram.

About Lesli Unrein

Our parents bought this condo when we were kids. We spent lots of winters and summers here. We grew up in Utah skiing, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, and fishing. We love the great outdoors! We were a very active family and needed some place that offered a variety of things to do. The Jackson Hole area was the answer.

Lesli Unrein purchased this condo in 1987

Why Lesli Unrein chose Jackson Hole area

Teton Village was in its beginning stages when we discovered it. The condo that we bought was still being built and the area was quite primitive, but we liked it for that reason; it was a new resort, it had great potential and we loved the 'Old West' atmosphere. It was close to our Utah home, but far enough to feel like we were on vacation. We especially liked the multi-seasonal activities. Mom would take us six kids up for the summer and Dad would fly up to spend weekends with us. Now, our kids and grandchildren enjoy recreating in this beautiful area.

What makes this condo unique

There is a 'property management' that takes care of the entire place, winter and summer. Someone is always on call if anything goes wrong. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and helpful and they respect your privacy. We also have a fantastic cleaner who makes sure everything is sparkling for your visit. She is also available for cleaning during long-term rentals. And a 'handy man' is on call for emergency repairs or issues not handled by Wendy at Mountain Property Management.

Comfortable home, great location for access to the slopes and village. Well stocked property, too.

  • 4 of 5

We'd definitely stay here again. Traveled with 3 adults, two teens and one child. Plenty of room. Place looks better and lives bigger than what the pictures were able to portray.

We came to ski and easy access to the slopes was a priority. It was about a 5 minute easy walk to reach a point to snap into skis then ski down to tram or over to other lifts.

This was the most well-stocked property we've ever stayed in - plenty of sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, and full array of kitchen gear.

Great trip, would recommend and stay again.

It's not a high-end property so if you need glitz and glamour you'll have to pay up and stay elsewhere. That said, it offered a very comfortable, clean, open space in a great location.

Owner's Response: Thanks for such a nice review. We are not glitzy, but we are comfortable. i keep trying to get better photos, but so far haven't had much success getting pictures that show the comfort and space accurately. We do like to keep it stocked as if we were going to be staying there--so it's like home! We are definitely within an easy walk to the base area. So, if you want comfort, cleanliness, and space give up the expensive glitz and stay with us.

All good except window coverings and dryer.

Owner's Response: We are in the process of replacing the window coverings. Having a difficult time finding something to cover the wide area of the windows without pull cords or too heavy fabric. The dryer is small, but worked fine last I was there. It takes a while to dry towels, but it works if the loads aren't too big. I'll have it checked it out and make sure it is working properly.

A wonderful condo and very comfortable for the 4 of us. Plenty of room to spread out with all our gear. We watched the eclipse from the back porch and yard. Many amenities were appreciated. Great location to the Village. WE would do again!

Bigger than the pictures show

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 3 nights, and the cabin was perfect for us! We had 4 adults and 5 kids. The layout really makes the condo more spacious. Everyone had their own little area to hang out in (not that we were in the condo much). The kids loved the fact that after a day of hiking and being in the car, they could come back and swim in the pool. They had so much fun!!! The views of the Tetons is absolutely amazing! We took the TRAM up to the top and that was quite the experience. Another favorite was the Bar T5 Chuckwagon that we surprised the kids with one night. It was AMAZING! Everyone was so nice and professional. We rode in covered wagons out to the woods where we had a fantastic dinner, and then we were entertained with music and funny skits! Lots of laughs!!! There were only two negatives to the condo. There isn't A/C, so the two bedrooms upstairs get a bit hot at night. Especially the one, because there aren't any windows to the outside in there. And then the other is the blinds...they are very "touchy" so no matter how careful you are at trying to open and close them, they fall apart/down. I would suggest investing in some new ones and that will solve that issue. The A/C might be a little more spendy of a "fix." We managed. Overall, it was a GREAT experience!!! We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Teton Valley.

Owner's Response: The blinds are terrible. We put them in two years ago and they are nothing but trouble. I just got them all fixed and the clips started breaking right after. Poor design by Levelor. I am working on finding replacement window coverings. So sorry! The upstairs bedroom used to be a balcony, but we walled it in for privacy. We should have put in bigger windows, but that defeated the privacy issue. We do have fans for that room. It's usually cool enough at night that the condo cools down enough, especially with the fans. It helps to open the master bedroom sliding door and the living room door to create a draft. If the upstairs bedroom door and windows are open at the same time as the windows, the room cools down.

Wonderful location and accommodations

  • 4 of 5

Our family group of seven had a very pleasant stay in the well furnished and well equipped condo. Access to the swim club was a great plus. The only modest drawback was that one of our couples found themselves in bunk beds (but we knew in advance that would be the case).

The condo was certainly convenient to Grand Teton National Park, but a bit farther than we would have liked from Yellowstone. The area of the two national parks is so massive, however, that unless you stay in Yellowstone itself, I don't think there are any truly convenient digs for visiting both parks.

Lesli, our landlady, was most helpful and responsive to our email questions both prior to our visit and after our arrival, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Owner's Response: We have enough queen beds for 3 couples (including the hide-a-bed). Our other 6 beds are twin bunk beds (4) and a daybed with trundle (2). We do try to make sure our guests understand the sleeping arrangements. Yellowstone can be tricky to get to unless you stay in the park. When we "do" Yellowstone, we know it will be a full, long day. The advantage of being close to Grand Teton makes up for the longer drive to Yellowstone because there are lots of nice hikes and lakes in Grand Teton. I try to be responsive and helpful! When our guests are happy, so are we.
