My husband and I have travelled throughout Central America for decades and first came to Manuel Antonio in 1991. The area maintains its beauty as a charming beach community with a great respect for the environment. We love coming back and Villa Amarilla is our perfect getaway. We are thrilled to have Donielle and everyone from Costa Rica First Class villas managing the property. They keep everything in great shape and take great care of our guests.

This property is in a great location. You can walk to secluded Macha Beach, hop on a bus to the main Manuel Antonio beach or national park or walk to a neighborhood restaurant. It's close to everything yet very quiet. Love watching all the monkeys, birds, etc. from the lanai.
We have an on site property manager/concierge who can help with all your travel arrangements in the area including transfers from the airport, booking tours and recommendations on local restaurants

This villa could not have been more perfect. On our first day we were able to join in a Monkey Pool Party - we were swimming and suddenly a swarm of monkeys came to eat the fruit in the trees. It was awesome. The condominium is clean, good air condition, very comfortable beds with good sheets, washing machine and dryer make is very easy to pack light, good wi-fi. Close enough to town to walk - although you have to want the exercise as there is a good hill. For me this was a good dose of daily exercise. The Concierge is excellent and prompt. Could not have asked for a better stay.
Villa Amarilla was great, we all felt very comfortable on our one week stay. Susan the concierge was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. We would defitinely stay again to use it as a home base for fishing in Quepos and sightseeing in Manuel Antionio.
The wifi is spotty sometimes and the downstairs bedroom most oftentimes cannot connect to the wifi.
Beautiful property, very friendly host, amazing amenities. Little bit farther from the beach than expected.
We stayed for a month at Villa Amarilla with our two children. It was a great base to explore the Pacific coast and very close to Manuel Antonio and beaches south. There was also a local beach through a jungle path, about 25 minutes each way (walking), a bit strenuous so jumping in the pool after walking back was great. Easy walk down to the marina in Quepos where we had a lovely Christmas dinner at Gabriella's. Squirrel monkeys scampered around the property, and a pair of scarlet macaws lived across the street, greeting each morning with loud squawking. We felt very lucky to get to see these beautiful birds daily. The house was very comfortable, and we spent many lazy mornings on the patio having coffee and watching the bird life. The beds were awesome! Most rentals have mediocre beds, these were instead better than our bed at home. Our teenager had the room below and enjoyed the privacy. Concierge Susan was a great help in booking tours and providing advice. A local bus was very convenient to Manuel Antonio national park and the beaches just before the park, the bus stop was just down the street and the bus was cheap. A car would be useful for exploring further south (Dominical, etc.) All in all a wonderful stay in a beautiful place.
The villa was in a perfect location between quepos and Manuel Antonio. We used it as home base and traveled up and down the coast. We have an attentive consierge who books tours and helped acquaint us to the area. While the weather was at the tail end of the rainy season, it's warm rain and didn't hinder our ability to have fun. Ticos are the friendliest people in the world, it's a laid back culture and we got to truly relax and let go of our responsibilities back home. I highly recommend using Mike as your tour guide through Manuel Antonio park. He was born and raised here and the other guides follow his lead. Amazing experience. If you've never been here, this villa is a great introduction To life in Costa Rica.
We stayed in Villa Amarilla for 3 nights and it was just what we needed for our family. The house was as advertised, we had everything we needed for cooking, plenty of pool/beach towels. The washer / dryer (downstairs) also came in handy. Be aware that the third bedroom/bathroom is downstairs and is not connected directly to the upstairs main unit from inside so it's not necessarily possible to have children sleeping there alone depending on their age. The grounds are really nice and we enjoyed the pool, it almost feels like a pond in the forest. The villa is between Quepos and Manuel Antonio so we had easy access to everything.
