Bob and Cheryl met in high school and have been together for more than 30 years. Bob retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2004. When deciding where to live on a permanent basis, Bob and Cheryl chose to go back to their roots and family in New England. They have two children and one grandson.
Bob and Cheryl purchased this apartment in 2007
Bob and Cheryl bought this property so that they could share it with others. It's location, charm, style and age (built in the early 1800's) were very attractive to them. While house hunting, finding a home that was unique and needed a little tender loving care was top of their list. This property gave them all those things and more.
Throughout Bob's military career they experienced challenges finding places to stay when traveling due to having pets and children (many places would not take children under 12 years of age). They wanted to open their doors to those who might be in the same position as they had been so they would have a place to stay when visiting Plymouth and it's surrounding areas.
Neighborhood feel, walking distance to all Plymouth Center amenities. We rent year round. We can accomodate up to 12 guests, 8 guests in our 2nd floor unit and 4 additional guests in our 3rd floor unit or, these units can be rented seperately.
Dear Bob and Cheryl,
We had such a wonderful stay here at the Inn. The apartment is beautiful and so well furnished - even doe to the kitchen. Thakn you so much for your hospitality. We will be back!
Sincerely Clark & Trish
Happy New Year!
This property is super cute. Well appointed. Full kitchen. A dishwasher that actually works. Full size fridge. Washer and dryer in entryway. Two full bathrooms with tub and shower. Our family of five had plenty of room to sleep, and we didn't even make use of the daybed in the entryway: our son slept in a full bed, our two daughters in a queen, and my hubby and I slept in another queen. Plenty of room for all. So convenient to the downtown. Less than s 5 minute walk. And you could, technically, walk to Plimoth Plantation from this VRBO. We didn't because part of the trip would be on a busy road. But it's seriously that close to everything. It's a 7 min drive to Plimoth Plantation. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants nearby. Very convenient. Bob and Cheryl were super. We had a heat crisis during our stay, and, once we determined it was a problem with the heating system and not just my understanding of the thermostat, they sent a repairman out right away! Their sweet daughter met the repairman at the VRBO while we were out and it was fixed and toasty by the time that we returned. Thanks, Bob and Cheryl! The only thing to keep in mind in regards to this property is that it is on the top floor, and another rental is below you. But even with three kids (who like to dance...and practiced violin almost daily!), we didn't get any complaints about our level of noise. But we did try to be mindful! :-)
Great property! Would highly recommend it!
Could have been a tad cleaner and for 6 of us there was never enough hot water for all to shower. Owner was very good, always responding quickly to questions we had or delivering things we needed like paper towels or toilet paper. There were 4 chairs at the bar in the kitchen and two stools. I would duggest 2 more chairs instead of stools as they were hard to eat from or play games. Overall a good place to stay and would recommend.
We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house! We were so close to everything.....we hardly had to use the car. Although we only needed the owners once....Bob was quick to come when we tripped the circuit breaker!!!! The home was nicely decorated and was well equipped with all the kitchen items that you could need. My 2 year old granddaughter LOVED the toy "pantry" which had a large assortment of toys for all ages. If ever in Plymouth again, I would absolutely stay here again.
The house was just as it was described in the listing. There was plenty of room, as well as sufficient cookware, dishes, and towels. The tenants on the other floors were friendly and quiet. There are only 2 reasons I don't give it 5 stars. There wasn't enough hot water for more than two of us to shower consecutively. By the time the third person went it was lukewarm, at best. The other thing was the AC. It was 85+ nearly every day and the units in the house weren't able to keep it cool. Consistent high temperatures like that probably are not too common, but it made for a couple of fitful nights.
the place is wonderful and is close to driving to everything that we wanted to visit. we went to boston and we went to new Bedford and did everything in Plymouth. best place to eat for us was woods seafood
My family and I stayed in this spacious, immaculate apartment for two weeks. We all had a great vacation and wished we had more time to spend here. The Nantucket room was my favorite while my sons loved the Green Mountain room.
Plymouth is a perfect summer pick for all the activities it offers. It has historical sites, beaches, shops, restaurants, and lake activities. We mostly were able to walk to everything. This is a huge advantage since parking in Plymouth can be scarce in the peak summer months.
Bob and Cheryl are awesome! They go the extra mile to make sure everything is just perfect
In summary, I highly recommend this property! We hope to rent here again someday! Thanks so much, Bob and Cheryl!
