Enjoy the sweeping views and exceptional beauty of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains from all three levels of this charming, fully renovated 1920s cottage style home. Wi-Fi, cable TV, front loading washer/dryer, sun porch, mudroom, and gourmet kitchen. Located just minutes from the Charlotte and Shelburne beaches, and a short walk to the historic Brick Store, Post Office, Library and a new gourmet deli. Shopping, fine dining/ nightlife, tennis and golf all within a 1/2 hour (from Vergennes to Burlington). A mere 10 minutes drive in neighboring Shelburne, Vt, visit both Shelburne Farms and the Shelburne Museum. Enjoy the best of Vermont's organic fare at the Shelburne Farmer's Market every Saturday, and while you're at it, visit Charlotte's own quaint and locally famous flea market. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets.
This was our second year celebrating Thanksgiving at this property. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate all the cooks who were involved in the preparations. Love the master suite upstairs with a cup of coffee in the morning. Walking distance to the Brick Store for that extra whatever is needed. All in all, loved it and would recommend it.
This house is probably the most well stocked, nicely decorated, well insulated, and cleanest house we have ever used while traveling. Loved the cozy feel and spectacular views. Close to the lake, little market and lovely places to eat. I hope we. Can revisit. Lucas was very responsive to all my emails.
We had a phenomenal visit. The home was absolutely breathtaking both inside and out. We loved it so much that we ate in every night so we could watch the sunset from the dining table. We loved the location as well, and walked every morning to get coffee and pastries from the nearby Old Brick Store before heading out on adventures. Thanks so much for a great visit -- we will definitely be back!
A very nice house in the Vermont countryside. The views of the sunrise and sunset over Lake Champlain are gorgeous, and the house is spacious and comfortable. In the immediate vicinity are a country store, a berry farm, farm stands, a wildflower farm, and a nature park. We're glad we stayed there.
The property was fabulous . Great views when the rain stopped. Beautifully decorated I felt at home here. The only wish was a deck to sit on outside to enjoy the fresh air with a cup of joe in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Would love to go back.
The house is very clean and well maintained. The eclectic collection of furnishings and artwork give the house a lot of character. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. The showers in the bathrooms have excellent water pressure. The views of the distant mountains from the kitchen and dining area (main floor) and the master bedroom (upper floor) and from the expansive back yard are spellbinding. At night (in June) hundreds of fireflies lit up the fields behind the house. The surrounding countryside is lovely and unspoiled. During the day you can hear occasional traffic from the nearby road that leads to the Lake Champlain ferry, and from tractors and farm equipment passing down the street that runs in front of the house. Even so, we enjoyed the passing scene from the enclosed front porch, and at night it is very quiet.
Lucas is a very attentive and congenial landlord. He is quick to respond to emails and text messages. We would happily stay at his house again.

Cycle on some of the most beautiful roads Vermont has to offer right from the house. Try to climb Mt. Philo if you dare!
