Fresh Water Bay Where Mountains Touch The Sea

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

Relax and enjoy the lights of Victoria and Vancouver Island. Watch cruise ships glide by in the straits of Juan de Fuca. This Olympic Peninsula home sits on 3 acres and is suited for comfort, relaxation and is the perfect location for exploring the Olympic National Park with easy access to Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge, Solduc Hot Springs and the beautiful coastline. From this property, you have a short walk to the boat launch and a beautiful county park of Freshwater Bay. Kayaking and Fishing are very popular here. You will also enjoy beach combing and exploring tide pools. A keen eye might catch sight of the local sea otter family or even a whale pod passing by.

There are spectacular views from every room in the house. You will enjoy just sitting and watching the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. On occasion you will see several deer, many types of birds and even some wild bunnies. Sit back and enjoy the peacefulness the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

The living room is big and spacious, adjacent to the open dining room and kitchen. It’s the perfect area for interacting with friends and family even while preparing meals. Off this area there is a large wrap around deck great for soaking up the sun, Barbecuing or star gazing. Be sure to check out the stars on at least one night during your stay. This property is Amazing for star gazing.

The home is unique in its sleeping arrangements. It sleeps 2-12 people (Additional fee of $25.00 per person per night for over 10 people)

The First Bedroom at the top of the stairs is the largest of the three. This room has a King Bed and a small area with a twin bed.

The Second bedroom is unique in the fact it is a two story room .The lower level with its large Bay window has a queen and a twin bed for sleeping. Climb the winding staircase to the beloved room called “The Tower room.” The tower room is a Favorite of many of our guests especially the children. Adults love the coziness and tranquility of this room while the children can imagine living in a real fairy tale. It’s a great place to retreat and read a book. This room contains a Full Size Bed and reading area. The spectacular straits of Juan de Fuca and Mt Angeles can be viewed on both levels.

The Master bedrooms greatest asset is the Spectacular view along with its own private deck where you can view a large portion of the property, see wildlife and witness spectacular sunrises. In the connecting bathroom there is a Jacuzzi bathtub ready for you to relax and soak your aching muscles you may have from hiking the near by trails. This room has a King Bed.

Another favorite room is the wonderful game room, which includes a pool table, TV and a table for playing board games or working on a jigsaw puzzle. We have a DVD player along with a small selection of movies and board games for family entertainment. This room has two Full size Futons and a Queen Blow up. The property has wifi.

Extra blankets are also provided.

On the property you will find a fire pit, barbecue, picnic tables and plenty of chairs. Please enjoy a picnic, roast marshmallows, or just sit back and relax. The grounds are beautiful and worth exploring. There is a double swing in the southwest corner where you can relax and take in the view of the straits. On a perfectly clear day out of nowhere, Mt. Baker will appear in the distance in all its grandeur. It’ an Amazing sight we hope you get to enjoy.

We would like to invite you to the Olympic Peninsula and stay in this inviting home while you explore all the magic the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Wedding party

  • 4 of 5

Amazing, beautiful, breathe taking...tho not having any Internet was an inconvenience for some of the wedding party had last minute business to attend. Labeling the light switches to which light would have been helpful....I recommended this place to everyone....

Great location for a multi-family gathering

  • 4 of 5

Four families were able to enjoy time together with a beautiful view and plenty of space to spread out. The game room made a great kids hangout and the deck was our adult oasis.

Bring fly swatters. There are no screens on the windows and if the weather is warm, you will need the windows and doors open. We had a lot of bee visitors during our stay, but they weren't aggressive thankfully.

There was a burn ban on during our stay, which was a bummer. There is A beautiful area set up for an evening fire that we didn't get to enjoy.

Bring CDs to play in the nice stereo system.

The water is hard water so if you aren't used to that you might find your shower experience disappointing and we stuck to bottled water for drinking.

Our family of seven (5 kids aged 11-21) spent four nights at Anthony's place. We used the house as a base to explore Olympic National Park. We went to Hurricane Ridge, Ruby Beach and the Hoh Rain Forest. We enjoyed wonderful views of Canada and Mt. Baker one night during a campfire/cookout. The house was exactly as advertised and it was nice that Anthony stopped by to ensure we were comfortable. Our favorite dinner restaurant was Kokopelli Grill in Port Angeles. We would stay here again.

Great views.

  • 4 of 5

The house has excellent views. Nice outdoor facilities including a grill, fire pit, swing and plenty of outdoor chairs. The owner (Mr. Gomez) is very friendly and helpful. The house has several beds to sleep all 10 of us. The only thing is there is only one shower so we had to plan showers at different times. Besides that it was a wonderful experience.

Perfect house

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 nights at Anthony's place, and it was all that we had hoped for. We were two families (4 young children all together), and we had a great time.

It's very well located for hiking at Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent is very close by and was super fun.

We used the BBQ almost everyday, and the kids were so happy to have a campfire too!

Can't say anything bad about it. Enjoy!
