About Frank Conati
I work out of Monterrey, Mexico and MN; with my partners we had always dreamed of a beach home. We made our dreams a reality.
Frank Conati purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Frank Conati chose Tulsayab
We fell in love with Tankah in 1997 and purchased property there - no matter where we are in the world, a piece of our heart remains in Tankah. The bay is clean and close to things to do.
What makes this Villa unique
We love to take advantage of Edith's cooking and relax by the ocean!

We have stayed at both houses, Casa Azul and Casa Soleada, and they are both amazing!! We visited several different bays in the area, Tulum beach, Soliman Bay, & Akumal Bay, and this is by far superior. It is so peaceful, quiet and private! Edith and Yobany are the best caretakers and go above and beyond to make every visit the best. Edith's banana bread was a family favorite and all of the meals she cooked for us were GREAT! We love staying at Tankah Shores and will probably make it a regular family destination for years to come!!!
I really can't say enough about this listing, it is amazing.
We rented a car both times from Budget at the Cancun airport and did not have any problems. We always make sure we go through the initial car examination with them and that they mark EVERY dent, ding and scratch (also make sure there's a spare tire). We have denied CDW or CDL insurance each time because it's covered by our credit card, but we have to leave a heafty deposit because of it. So far it hasn't been an issue. My sister rented from Alamo and got a better deal than us this time and didn't seem to have any issues either and she opted for ALL offered insurances from them.
-Don't miss going to Xel-Ha when you visit, it's so close and unlike anywhere else!
-We went to eat at Mateo's and Posada Margharita in Tulum (Beach). Both were really good, but pretty pricey, which I think is how it is everywhere on Tulum Beach. Posada Margharita was amazing ambiance and service, but the menu is Italian and kind of limited if you have picky eaters, but DELICIOUS.
-We did a tour of Coba the first visit and Sian Ka'an the second visit, each with different tour groups. We loved both tours, but as far as a tour company, had a better experience with Viajes Conciencia, www.viajesconciencia.com . The tour guide was great and the food with a local farmer was incredible.
I could go on and on, but bottom line is that this is an amazing place to stay in this area!!!!
Thank you! We try hard to meet client expectations and we look forward to hosting you again in the future!
Amazing family vacation
This is our second time on Tankah bay with Tankah Shores (we stayed at playa azul last time). We LOVED Casa Soleada. We have two kids and meet up with family every year. The kids spend all day in the pool, the adults paddle board, kayak, and sunbathe. We chat late at night and have amazing food and drinks.
Such an amazing trip. True relaxation.
The beds were fresh and lovely every day, the house was impeccable. There is a true attention to detail at this house and vacations here are just fantastic. We can't wait for our next trip!
Top Notch Accomodations
This is our 2nd time staying here. Everything was great. Location is quiet, secluded, safe, close to a cenote, store, restaurants. Ten minutes to main Tulum town. The house is stocked with everything needed, comfy beds, great layout for a group. Edith’s cooking is amazing, we had her prepare breakfast and dinner EVERY night. Yobany was helpful with anything needed, beach was raked everyday. I will be back!
Superb service, accommodations, location!!!
Our party of 8 adults stayed one week in the awesome property located right on the sand beach and just steps from the ocean! We took advantage of the incredible cooking services from Edith and it, absolutely, made our trip "over the top"!!! The beautiful 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath house was pristine clean! Really can't say enough good, positive comments about our stay here! The on-site amenities of the swimming pool, kayaks and plenty of snorkeling equipment made for a fun time! If you are looking for the most relaxing week of your life ~ come visit
Casa Soleada! The only thing I feel anyone should be me aware of before booking here is the fact that while the sandy beach is amazing - the ocean water is completely full of underwater rocks and you cannot think of entering it without water shoes on! Of course, it did not really bother us to the extent that we would not return here, but, I would caution anyone with small children that love to spend all their ocean time playing in the water and waves! I would not recommend this to them. I just feel the need to mention this, because, we have grandchildren that love to play in the sandy ocean and I would not recommend this for them, but, the 8 adults on this trip ~ were in heaven!!!
Our family of ten included 3 1/2 year old twins, 6 and 9 year olds, two sets of parents, and grandparents (us). We enjoyed an amazing Christmas stay at Casa Soleada. From the rotating Christmas tree to the frozen margarita machine, we had everything we needed. It is a well appointed home for resting and relaxing in or out of the water and centrally located to launch fun day trips of lagoon and cenote snorkeling, Mayan ruin exploring, to surfing the waves on a 36 foot catamaran we chartered. We loved the Spectacular sunrises and sunsets, great hanging chairs, indoor and outdoor tables to enjoy Edith's delicious cooking. Yobany helped us get what we needed: a rope to tie on the raft to pull the twins through the cenote, a pump to inflate the rafts, a coconut lesson for the kids complete with machete wielding skills. We couldn't have asked for more.
We have rented many vacation homes over the years in BVI, Zihuatanejo, Bahamas, Molokai, Key Largo and I have to say Casa Soleada does it best! Much thanks to Edith! She made the trip a joy for me.
Better than the pictures! Amazing service👍
If you want incredible views, a virtually private beach, a caretaker and cook that ensure no detail is overlooked then this is the place for you. This was one of the most relaxing places ever. Yobani and Edith made sure we were well taken care of each day. Edith’s cooking rocks! Yobani’s care of the grounds was very evident, hand raked beach daily, we were blown away. Kitchen was well stocked, don’t hesitate to have Edith do the shopping for your group. House was clean and spacious, beds very comfortable, a/c in the rooms if you need it, but the sea breeze was enough for me. How cool is it that the crystal clear waters of Casa Cenote are literally just a few hundred feet down the road, this is a bonus that you will not find anywhere else. The cenote has many fish to see, and a small croc if you are lucky. Just be aware, the sand on the beach in front of the house does not extend into the water. Once in the water it is rock reef and very hard on the feet, water shoes are a must. The trade off is the waters are calmer and great for kayaking, pladdleboarding, and snorkeling ( all gear provided and in working condition). The best snorkeling is found a few hundred yards offshore, we found it best to paddle board or kayak out there with snorkel gear, deepest depth was maybe only 7 feet. Lots of coral, sea fans, a wide variety of fish. Unique sightings on the reef included barracuda, a sea turtle, eagle ray, flying fish, and a lion fish. The Tulum area has so many adventures and sights to see, Casa Soleada and Azul made the perfect place for our family trip (group of 12). We’d definitely consider returning to this little slice of heaven.
