Paradise found! Hands down the prettiest beach we saw while on our trip and it was ours to enjoy!

  • 5 of 5

Once you drive into the sian kaan biosphere, you drive for 25 minutes and you arrive at the most beautiful beach and house. I felt the home was part of nature, the showers had natural elements built in, you truly feel you are living in the trees! You are under the coconut trees, laying in the hammocks, sitting by the water, taking it all in, then you turn around and see the house and you can't believe this is all your to enjoy. Manuelas cooking was amazing! The best meals we had in Mexico for sure! Roberto knew the nicest fishermen to take my husband and sons fishing, then took us all out to the reef to snorkel. That night Manuela cooked up the fish for us, seriously the most amazing mango cream fish dish that we all went crazy over! My kids would get their flashlights and explore at night finding so many hermit crabs walking all around the house, truly you are a part of the jungle here. Then to sleep in the screened in master bedrooom with the breeze, it's like you are sleeping right on the beach. We ventured out one day to explore a bit, but couldn't wait to get back and get away from the crowds that were everywhere in town! Guy was so nice, and helped with anything we needed! It is a little bit of a drive, but if you are looking to have your own place, off grid, at the most beautiful spot in nature, then this is for you. We can't wait to go back!

Remote Oasis

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the remote and isolated Caphe Ha property. We were looking for a place that was away from the hustle and bustle of Tulum and Cancun and that had direct beach access. Caphe Ha was all of that and more. The property easily accommodates 6-7, with a private bungalow, two bedrooms and bathrooms, and a separate kitchen, living room, and patio. The views were stunning and it was hard to beat the peace and quiet. Guy, the owner, was wonderful. He was always quick to reply to inquiries and touched base by phone before we left. He was thorough and incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend Manuela's cooking! We were spoiled the whole time with her delicious meals. While the beach is beautiful and scenic, the one downside, is that trash washes up on the shore. Roberto cleaned and raked the beach each morning so we had a clean area to enjoy in front of the house.

We enjoyed our restful retreat and would definitely come back!

Nicest vacation ever!

  • 5 of 5

What a paradise! My young adult son and I rented Caphe Ha over the Christmas/New Years holidays, and we had the absolute pleasure of staying there for two whole weeks. (We definitely could have stayed longer; in fact, I'd like to still be there, right now!) The compound was perfect: beautiful landscaping, neat as a pin everywhere you look, nice bathrooms, great beds, plenty of air in the bedrooms for cooling off at night, gentle waves, warm water, warm air, sandy beach, coconut palms, and everything you could possibly need to relax, walk the beach (by the way, you can walk for miles in either direction and never see another house, or even another person!), lie in the sun, body surf, or explore the surrounding woods. When I first booked the house, Guy (the owner) suggested that I "hire" Manuela (the caretaker) to do our cooking for us. I was reluctant, simply because I'm a fairly good cook, plus, I really enjoy going to the market in various countries and investigating the local produce, etc. So I politely said "yes" to our first couple days at Caphe Ha, saying that I would take over as soon as we could make it out to the mercado. WOW! After our first meal, we were begging Manuela to cook for us! She's fantastic! Not just "adequate," or even "good, " but superior in every way. We don't eat chicken, beef or pork (but we do eat fish and seafood), and we stick to relatively a healthful diet, and Manuela was completely accommodating. So fresh, and so incredibly delicious. At one point, we had some minor trouble with our rental jeep (a part of the fender was coming loose), and we asked Roberto (the other caretaker) if we could borrow a pair of pliers. Instead of merely handing us the tools we needed, he insisted on helping us, and before we could even protest, he was under the car, doing the entire job! He could not have been kinder! Both Manuela and Roberto, and the other couple who assist at Caphe Ha, Maria and Haviere, were some of the gentlest, sweetest, kindest, most lovely people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And the dogs! We're "dog people," to be sure, and having three adorable dogs on the property made our vacation even nicer! Whenever we'd strike out on a beach walk, two of the dogs (Diana and Negra) would come bounding out and accompany us! It was so fun. And the third dog, Yuma, is the sweetest, most sincere dog you could ever meet. We loved ALL the humans and dogs we encountered at Caphe Ha, and we can't wait to return for a "reunion!"

We Can't Stop Coming Back!! Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Tulum and Caphe Ha, and it was every bit as magical as the first. The road to the house was much better this year, so we were able to venture out a bit more than we did on our previous visit. That said, once we arrived we didn't really want to leave. The house was just as we had left it - in pristine condition with every "off the grid" amenity we could ask for - from the outdoor well to wash off the salt water to the hammocks, outdoor showers, incredible beach views and the sea right in front of us, we were in paradise! Manuela and Roberto were there and took great care of us. They had coffee and breakfast waiting for us each morning, cut down fresh coconuts daily, and made the most delicious, fresh and authentic Mexican meals each evening. We had our 9 and 7 year old children with us and they also loved the sense of relaxation and calm. It was so nice to be able to shut down and get off electronic devices!! Even for them. Caphe Ha is a special place and we will keep coming back!

Best so far in Q.R.

  • 5 of 5

This is the most private, quiet, and secluded villa we've found in Q.R., (under $1,000 a day). Manuela is a master chef and she is a welcome addition to the property. You will not see another soul for your stay, and Manuela will modify her presence upon request to give you total privacy. This place just squeezes the tension out, while the relaxation oozes in. Great place, great food! It is a LONG slow journey down from Cancun, along the gravel road from Tulum past Boca Paila, and I will get a Jeep the next time we're there--and we DO plan to go back. (P.S. the family dogs (of Roberta y Manuela who reside on the property about 200 yards away) may greet you with barking but they're harmless. (Make sure and get kilometer markings from Guy when you book so you don't try to find the turn in too soon). P.P.S: the "best fish tacos in the world" sign at Mateo's in the Hotel Zone south of Tulum isn't exaggerating. They are the best fish tacos in the world!

Swiss Family Robinson style vacation - perfectly tropical, secluded, and peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with a group of friends, 3 couples total and this place was perfect! This is truly off the beaten path with amazing views and a beautiful beach right out your doorstep. We hardly saw anyone while we were there and you can walk miles either direction on the beach without seeing anyone and with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean. There is lots of privacy and the rooms are very comfortable, all have an ocean view. We went in April which was perfect weather and the open air vibe of the place made it very comfortable day and night. Located in the Sian Ka'an biosphere it really is off the grid with solar power and no TV, internet, etc but still has comfortable modern conveniences like running water, hot showers and full kitchens. We did some day excursions to Tulum to see the ruins, a cenote, and ate at a couple of the restaurants on the hotel strip on the way to the house, but we spent most of our time at the house relaxing on the beach and playing cards, reading, swimming, etc. Bringing a vehicle is necessary to stay here and it takes about 45 minutes to trek into town but the remoteness is what lends Caphe Ha its charm. As to be expected in the middle of the biosphere, there is wildlife but it stays outside the rooms for the most part. I recommend bringing a flashlight as it gets very dark at night and its necessary to see when walking between buildings but also makes for awesome star gazing. Roberto and Manuela are the caretakers who live on the property and were extremely helpful with anything we needed. And the best part of it all was truly Manuela's amazing cooking. Anyone who does not hire her to cook meals during their stay will sorely regret it as it is the best food we have ever tasted (and that's coming from a bunch of foodies with high standards)! She cooked two main meals a day for us and also helped keep the place clean, so worth it! Overall we left refreshed, well fed, and content. Caphe Ha is the perfect tropical getaway for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation off the beaten path spiced with a little adventure.
