Mammoth Lakes Condo Rental Photos and Description

3BR + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9); with real wood-burning fireplace!

If you'd like to discuss the new VRBO/HomeAway service fee, please give us a call at 858-775-9990. Peaceful retreat after your busy day at the slopes. Warm and cozy with a real wood-burning fireplace that gives this place a cabin feel. Beds: 2 king beds, 1 queen, and 3 single beds in the loft. You will not be disappointed choosing this condo!

This is a large unit with three bedrooms plus an open loft, and two bathrooms. It has breath taking views of the Sherwin Mountains and overlooks directly into Mammoth Creek Park. Situated on the southeast edge of town enjoy unobstructed views from the private external balcony off the living room. Check our excellent Guest Comment feedback below the photos. Use the Book-It-Now button!

We recently painted the entire interior of this condo and added new lighting fixtures. We've added new dressers, nightstands, headboards, mirrored closet doors, lamps, TV stands, and fluffy down comforters for each of the bedrooms. The front-door is now equipped with a keyless entry pad, so getting your large group in-and-out is a breeze, without keys. Also, enjoy the warm and cozy 'real' firewood stove; it's not an electric faux fireplace; not here. Plenty of firewood on the deck.

Wireless Internet and an awesome Pioneer receiver, Pioneer DVD, and new speakers were also added last year! All hooked-up to a wall-mounted, 42' BIG SCREEN LCD television in the living room. Don't worry, High Definition TV programming is provided free, along with a recording DVR. We now have NETFLIX! Kick-back and relax after skiing/fishing, by watching the big screen, or catch-up on work with the free Wireless Internet capability. Also, in the loft a new combination 26' LCD/DVD player has been added recently. Bring your USB IPOD cable to hook up your IPOD to the Pioneer receiver.

A Kathy Ireland plush carpet is in place throughout. There's an L-shaped sleeper couch + lifting coffee table that have been added to the living room as well. A TV has been added upstairs in the park-view bedroom. And to top it off, all 3 bedrooms have luxurious Simmons Beautyrest beds. Two of the bedrooms have California King-size beds. The park-view 3rd bedroom has a Queen-size bed, and the loft has 3 single beds. This unit sleeps up to 9 people comfortably.

The kitchen was completely remodeled with golden maple cabinets and new flooring. Complete with stainless steel appliances including a black glass cooktop range & double-oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a microwave. There are 19 stairs to reach this second-story unit and it has two levels inside. The lower level has the living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and a bathroom. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, the loft, and the second bathroom. There is an external closet for your skiing or fishing gear.

The condo is located in the La Vista Blanc complex in the southeast corner of Mammoth Lakes town. You are a short walk away through the park to several major shopping centers, cinemas, and restaurants (like the landmark restaurant named 'The Stove').

In winter, there is the world famous Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort as well as many other winter sport activities, like cross country skiing, snowmobiling, etc. For recreation in the summer, walk across the adjacent Mammoth Creek park to the Horseback Riding Ranch or to the golf driving range. Fish for trout in the regularly stocked Mammoth Creek only steps away from this unit. Or jump on the very scenic bicycle trail which begins right at the park below. You can also take a short car trip to the Devil's Postpile National Monument.

About Maria Ball

Steve and I have been married for 33 years and have always shared a passion for skiing. A graduate from UC Santa Barbara he was a member of the school ski team for 4 years; his father was a ski/snow reporter and took the family on their motor home wherever his work was that weekend. When I first met Steve I was a beginner skier from Spain, who had precariously skied in the Alps a couple of times and others in Sierra Nevada near Granada where I attended school, but he was intent to change my experience level and now I cannot conceive a winter without a few weekends in the snow.

We currently live in Del Mar, California and have a 30- year-old son who also enjoys the outdoors and comes with us to the mountains whenever he can.

Comfortable Lodging in a Convenient Location !!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I shared the condo for five nights with four others on

Re our Bay Area hiking group’s annual Easter Sierra hike week. The price was right; the condo was very conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The ample parking area was a plus, as we had three cars. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. One guest was very delighted to have the spacious loft as his very own private retreat. The kitchen table fit the six of us for our morning breakfasts and night-in spaghetti dinner. The kitchen was well stocked, though our salad chef regretted not having a large salad bowl on hand; she made do with two bowls. Another guest regretted the absence of a whisk for the eggs in her chocolate cake.

One complaint that our upstairs guests had was that the shower water drained so slowly from the bathtub that they were in standing water for about ten minutes each time. They mostly used the downstairs bath for showers.

As we were there in August, the condo heated up quite a lot in the afternoons, especially the west-facing bedrooms. We learned to close all windows and blinds in the morning before leaving for our hikes and opening them in the evening when the air was cool. We missed having a screen in the kitchen window so that we could have more ventilation.

The location was quiet and in a nice location overlooking the local park.

We enjoyed our stay, and would be happy to make a return visit and recommend it to our fellow hikers!

Enjoyed our stay.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. Nice and close to everything we needed in town, also close to fishing areas we like to go to.

Our grandsons loved the loft area!

The only thing that could be updated are the mattresses very firm and some chairs and a little table on the balcony, to enjoy the beautiful view.

We enjoyed Roberto's Mexican restaurant, The Good Life Cafe, and John's Pizza Works.

The location of the condo in the complex was good, close to pool and bbq's.

Cozy Condo in Quiet Location

  • 5 of 5

Condo was well kept and clean. All the rooms were very nice and the beds had better sheets/comforters than most places we have stayed before. A little bit smaller than other 3 bedroom condos in Mammoth, but it housed our group of 9 people comfortably. Condo had nice amenities, plenty of parking, and was a stone's throw from the pool/spa which unfortunately we didn't get to use. I would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a clean, up to date place to stay. Would definitely be open to returning in the future.

Great property, value and location!!

  • 5 of 5

This one was a winner. During our research I was pretty surprised to see how expensive Mammoth has become. So this unit felt very well priced in comparison. We also liked being able to walk to the bowling alley and dinner spots. Floorplan worked well for a group of 8...2 heavy sleepers took the loft. Additionally we left a toiletry bag behind by mistake and they shipped it back to us in San Diego at no charge- very nice owners and a joy to deal with. Short walk to the shuttle stop for getting to the mountain. All and all, its a great rental!

Very good place for a family stay!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Totally enjoyed this place, perfect for 3 families, kids loved the loft with the 3 beds in it. That became the kid "hangout and fort" room. Parents loved also that there was a safe place to play in the snow downstairs right outside the balcony. The price was right, the place was clean, and the owners were quick to respond to any problems. I was not able to figure out the TV, somebody had changed the input, and I am technologically challenged. Just happened to send an email to the owner so he knew "I didn't break it". Was enjoying time with the kids because at that time they had no TV so they had to visit with us parents. Owner quickly called after the email was sent and walked me through getting the correct tv input back on. Kids were happy, and I was happy to have this kind of quick response even thought I did not expect it. Cant wait to come back to Mammoth!
