This home is perfect for everyone. Bring your family for a reunion, vacation, weekend getaway, or holiday! It is quiet but yet close to everything.
This place is wonderful for large groups. We just returned from our family vacation with 23 people (ages 2-80) and absolutely loved it. There is plenty of space indoors and on the deck for everyone. There is a short walk to the water and there's not a great view of the lake, but it was nice to relax and not be worried about kiddos falling in the water. There is a huge dock that we parked our boat at and went swimming every day. It's a great place to swim since it's so far back in a cove. I would suggest bringing a larger grill from home if you want to grill out for a large crew. That being said, the two kitchens made meals so much easier and gave us more space to store stuff. There is plenty of parking- we had 9 vehicles. It is also close to plenty of stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. The owners are wonderful to work with! We will definitely be back again next year.
This is a great place for a large group. We played volleyball and wiffle ball and had plenty of room to enjoy our selves outside. After the 4th day we finally found the pots and pans, which is cool because we brought our own for the trip. The gentlemen that takes care of the place was really nice. We will be considering coming back and this time maybe staying two weeks instead of one. We did have a small dog and she loved the grass to go potty. I would recommend this property for your vacation, but do bring extra towels. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your house had a great time.
Some of our extended family enjoyed this getaway for 4 days / 3 nights. The home worked out very well for our group of 20+. We were a combo of youngins and adults, and everyone had plenty of space to play, fish, boat, eat, rest, relax, and recreate! Thank you so much for the use of this lovely home! We would plan to use it all over again!
We stayed at this house for a weekend in August of 2014. We were celebrating a 21st and 22nd birthday. We had an amazing time. We had 19 people there for the weekend and had more than enough room. Having two kitchens was ideal for extra freezer space. The location is perfect. Ducked off so you're not disturbing anyone but close enough to the action. Being right off the water was perfect. Bill was close by if we needed anything and Teresa was so easy to work with. It's now February and we're still talking about that weekend. We plan on making this an annual trip to keep in touch as we get older. Thank you so much!
My extended family takes an annual trip each August. We have age ranges from 2 years to 73 years. We really enjoyed our stay, it's great when our entire family is able to stay under 1 roof. The only concern we had was the lack of towels. When you have 20 people, you need lots of towels. This would not have been a big deal had we known in advance, rather than scrambling at the last minute to have people bring them from home. So, my only advice is to bring your own bath supplies, beach towels ( which the site does say) and dish rags/towels. Not a big deal. Make sure you bring your own pots and pans if you are cooking for a large group ( we learned that years ago so we were prepared). If we were planning to grill for a full meal, we would have needed to bring an extra grill. We weren't sure what to do with the obviously large amounts of trash that we produced, so we bagged it up and kept it on the front deck. Luckily no animals got in it. A dumpster on site might be a good idea.
The dock was awesome! It was so nice to swim off of, hang out on, and keep our boat and jet skis right on the property!
Bill was very helpful with anything we needed or had questions about. It is nice to have a caretaker on site!
I will speak for my family when I say we would defiantly consider returning in future years!
