Our Family lives in the Mountains of Colorado, my husband & I live in Glenwood Springs and our son lives in Durango, Colorado. We plan our Family Vacation here every year and we swim, snorkel, go beach hopping, hike, scuba, whale watch, do a Luau, kayak, try different restaurants, have taken the helicopter ride (awesome), play golf, do Garden Tours, Zipline, and explore more of the island if Kaua'i every trip we take. We also love to have Rum Punches with Koloa Rum and watch the Sunset & Whales every night a few steps away at the Beach of Kahuna Plantation - this is truly Paradise.

We're back from our beautiful vacation and the accommodations were terrific. Your unit (#143) was as good as it gets. Thank you for providing a huge part of our adventure. Boat ride up the Na'pali coast, horseback riding at the North Shore (Silver Falls Ranch) and zip-lining over the forest canopies were "over the top" for us old folks (we're both over 60..and a few months). We can't wait to go back. We're holding on to your contact information for future reference.

Home away from home -

Lovely upstairs unit with a nice view of the lawn area. Unit had a full kitchen and dining area with all the amenities of home - microwave, coffee maker, et al. Comfy bed and nice TVs in both livingroom and bedroom. The Kiahuna Plantation offers free parking and provides towels and chairs for beach goers. Pool and athletic center are a short walk across the street. Also across the street is a little shopping center with some great restaurants and a Starbucks. I would definitely recommend this property and unit.

Wonderful base for a stay in Kauai

Having stayed in Kauai before, our preferred base is Poipu, and our preferred location within Poipu is Kiahuna Plantation. Poipu not only has better weather than the north shore, but is about half way between the north shore and Waimea Canyon, both of which are highlights of any stay on the island. As for Kiahuna Plantation Resort, it has its own beach with beach chairs and towels provided, reception open 24/7 if assistance is ever needed, beautiful tropical landscaping, easy parking near all of the units, and a central location with quite a bit within walking distance. Also, the ability to use the Poipu Beach Athletic Club across the street is a great perk as it has a gym, tennis courts, pool, and restaurant.

As for unit 143, we enjoyed our stay in this unit very much. The unit has recently been remodeled. The sleeper sofa was very comfortable for our kids, and the furniture throughout was in great condition. The kitchen was functional and enabled us to cook most of our meals in the apartment. Also, there are shared grills in close proximity to the unit. Although the unit does not have an ocean view, it is still a quick walk to the beach. Also, the unit is in one of the smaller buildings in the complex (only 4 units) and thus we found it to be quiet with more privacy than many other units. We stayed in August and with the plantation shutters open we were comfortable without the need for air conditioning. Although the unit doesn't have a washer/dryer, the complex has a coin-operated washer/dryer facility that is easily accessible. There was ample beach gear in the apartment, and we left behind two additional boogey boards that hopefully other visitors will enjoy.

Walk to the beach

This property is a great location -- three minute walk to the beach and I bet it is amazing unit to stay in the winter. However, with only fans to cool the unit, way too hot and humid for the summer.

Has nice amenities to go bogie boarding and/or snorkeling -- nice touch. I would highly recommend to stay in the winter and double check the weather for the summer stays.

Great unit and fantastic property

We couldn't have been happier with #143. The unit is nicely situated within the Kiahuna plantation and the bed and furniture were comfortable and attractive. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and all was very clean. We look forward to returning.

Kiahuna Paradise

We had a wonderful 8 days .... so relaxing and peaceful. .... napping on the manicured lawns under the palms or slipping into the tropical waters a few yards away. Our unit was delightful. It was well kept and had all the amenities we needed.
