We all fish (even my wife sometimes), but just hanging out at the cabin is an enjoyable place to relax. Walking around the area you will see the resident deer. The kids feel a sense of freedom while playing and discovering...we love this place....
This is a very cozy cabin right on the river. We came up here for some R&R and we got what we hoped for! Our dog loved it, too.
We rented this charming cabin from June 24th to 28th of 2015. It was a cute and cozy cabin. The living room and dining room were comfortable and cozy, kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were spacious. The view of the Trinity River was incredible. The weather was extremely hot outside so stayed indoor more to stay cool. We saw deer and geese. It was very quiet and relaxing. However, we weren't prepared for many mosquito bites early mornings and during the evenings. The mattress in the master room could have been more firmer. My husband was disappointed that he didn't catch much fish but got only few bites. Overall, it was an enjoyable mini vacation for our family.
Let me just say if you are looking for the Hilton Hotel, don't stay here. BUT if you want to stay in a cozy, romantic cabin on the beautiful river in Trinity, this is your place! The cabin is set in a quiet setting and the surrounding neighbors are nice and quiet as well. The house sits smack dab on the river so you can grab a cup coffee or a glass of wine and just relax on the big deck out back. You can watch the birds, fish to your hearts content and visit with the deer that come to visit. I love to cook and there was plenty of kitchen utensils, pots, pans etc to make a nice meal. This place would be fun for a couple with kids too, their own bedroom with bunkbeds and plenty of movies and the great outdoors to explore and just have fun. The place is in close proximity to lots of fishing holes, a really great fly fishing store and the owner was super nice, a winery, the small town of Lewiston and the really cute town of Weaverville. Weaverville has restaurants and quaint stores. The grocery store in Weaverville has everything! Or close by is the Jug and Tug to grab something you may have forgotten. The bed was comfortable and nice to have a fire. Henrik was very accommodating and the place is at a reasonable cost, especially with a million dollar view!
We were lucky enough to call this cozy little cabin home for two whole weeks! If you're a fly fisherman or an avid reader...this is the place for you. If you enjoy nature and wildlife...this is the place for you. Want peace and quiet...Yep!...this is your place. Cabin is rustic, but mostly well fitted. Spacious deck for spending your days in the sun or shade and nights for star gazing. Perhaps due to the abundance of wildlife, we found ticks on our dog after running him in the tall grass at the waters edge, so please be aware.
We are a family who love to rent cabins and cottages when we go on vacation. It's cost effective and provides more comfortable amenities than a hotel. This cabin was very charming. It resides on a quiet road with great neighbors. The deer literally come in your yard and walk around. The sound of the river is awesome and beckons you to fish!!! The inside is a quaint with a nice fully equipped kitchen nook. The bathroom was updated and the bedrooms were well maintained. Only recommendation would be new mattresses. The cabin has dish and internet access. The deck is big and offers a wonderful view of the river that is literally 25- 30 feet away. One recommendation, advise on the advertisement that the spa does not work. We really were looking forward to that. There is also a tire swing out front that has a wasps nest in it so the kids couldn't play with it. Bummer. Overall, if you like comfort, fishing, star gazing, relaxation and being one with nature then this is the cabin for you.
We found this cabin to be comfortable, clean and well organized. Though chilly on arrival, the marvelous pellet stove heated up the place very quickly. High marks for value and above all location right on the
River! Also, wonderful for our dog - dog run on the property.
