Overview

High Country & Blue Ridge Mountains Cabin Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

Welcome to NC's Blue Ridge Mountains! You have just found the closest and most unique Vacation Rental to Stone Mountain State Park!

Our cabin is located less than 1 mile to the entrance of Stone Mountain State Park where you will find magnificent Waterfalls, historic landmarks, hiking trails, mountain climbing and much, much more!

Imagine this...you're sitting on the front porch of a beautiful log cabin, enjoying the cool, fresh mountain air. Now...look out below and you will see a 70 mile panoramic view featuring every shade of the color green spread out over a wide forested valley and time softened mountains. White clouds hang like dollops of meringue in the Carolina blue sky. (Continued below)

Now...look east and you will see Pilot Mountain ('Mt. Pilot' as it was referred to on the famous Andy Griffith TV show). And on a clear day, you can see the tall buildings in downtown Winston Salem, NC, over 50 miles away!

And at night...Wow...the twinkling night lights in the valley are breathtaking and soooo romantic!

Natural beauty of the magnitude is so inspiring and a true feast for the senses...it nourishes the soul.

It will be equally magnificent when Autumn leaves paint it red, copper, bronze and gold; when winter snow blankets it with a sparkling layer of sugar white, and when spring shoots, buds and flowers inundate it in a sea of lacy pastel foam.

Our Stone Mountain rental cabin is the perfect vacation spot for all seasons!

The view is AMAZING from this cabin!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was private but easy to get to, only one mile from Stone Mountain State Park, which I also HIGHLY recommend. The cabin is located either on top of a mountain or on a ridge because the view is amazing! You're so high up you see clouds below! Being able to bring our dogs was a bonus, too. The exterior of the cabin looks like the original hewn logs, but the interior has been refinished in a beautiful knotty pine. Upon entering, the place smells of pine! Everything you could need is provided in this cabin. The owners are friendly and the manager is close by if needed. We also went to "Mayberry", but next time will stay here longer!

Amazing cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! We are so happy we chose this cabin! When we first arrived we could see Pilot mountain and the surroundings. The cabin sits on a lower ridge, but still has a incredible view! The photos don't do justice, I took a photosphere from the porch, you can find it on google maps when your over the stone mountain area. Outside it has a 5 person hot tub, huge hammock, rocking chairs and a charcoal grill. The cabin is small but for us it was perfect, they even let us bring our dog. Inside they have everything you need, it felt like home.. everything to cook/grill, down to even having salt/pepper! They have instructions everywhere for using things. It is actually nice and secluded too, it sits at the end of the driveway, there is another cabin 200' away, but there wasn't anyone there this past weekend so it was very quiet! Nearest town for a decent grocery store was 15 mins away. We will be back to this cabin, you can't beat what your get for the price!

I really can't think much negative, the positives far out weigh them, if you're over 6'3" you will run into a problem sleeping on the bed (i just fit between the headboard and footboard), the couch does pull out but its on its last leg. I recommend a non low clearance vehicle, ours is a nissan altima (the gravel road before the driveway, its just awkward and you will hit bottom) and the carpenter bees came out in the warm weather for us, i didn't mind, but my wife did.

Beautiful views, Cozy cabin, and close to the park

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend in the adorable cabin, and couldn't have had a better weekend. It was perfect. We enjoyed hiking the mountain trails, and stopping for ice cream at the local general store.

The rental price was very reasonable, and we are definitely going back!

Great cabin near the park

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this cabin over the New Year's holiday. Excellent views from the rocking chair front porch. The hot tub was great after a long hike in the park. The gas logs warmed up the cabin in just a few minutes. The cabin was clean upon arrival. It was the perfect getaway after a month of the busy holiday season.

We didn't do much nearby aside from the park, but we did drive about 45 minutes or less to a winery/brewery in Mt. Airy where you can walk the fields, bring your dog, and have a picnic. That turned out to be a great way to take a break from hiking. We also drove on the parkway for a bit on the way back. If you need a more relaxing day but still want to get out and about, this is a good option.

Perfect mountain retreat!

  • 5 of 5

After one of the busiest seasons of our lives, we hid away in this quaint cabin with a gorgeous view. The cabin was just rustic enough, just far enough from civilization, and close enough to beautiful stone mountain park for us to forget our busy lives back home and remember what matters in life.
