MOVED HERE IN 1973 AND RAISED OUR FAMILY HERE

AS WELL

LENNI OR DON purchased this cabin in 2004

Why LENNI OR DON chose South Central Colorado

Beautiful mountains in ranching country with a year round flowing stream where the Deer and Elk roam. Lakes and

streams close by for fishing. also, centrally located to a lot

of interesting things to see and do.

What makes this cabin unique

No city noises, peaceful and beautiful. The Native Americans called this area 'The Long Look' because it was

so beautiful, they had to take a 'long look'.

rejuvinating people and a comfortable place

  • 5 of 5

Went up for a daddy / daughter weekend and brought the dog. We really enjoyed the location and hiked all around the ranch. Made food, shot the bb-gun and really chilled out. Educational opportunity as well to acquaint my daughter to old school VCR technology.

We visited near by Cripple Creek, Florissant and Guffey. Bring your food and fun - you really are out in the country but that is what we enjoyed the most. We look forward to our return trip.

Loved It

  • 4 of 5

If you want quiet and out of the hustle and bussel this is the place for you. Beautiful scenery and easy to get around. Only 10 miles to a small grocery store and liquor store ..What else does anyone need. The cabin was very clean and easy to maintain. Everything was there for you to make breakfast and dinner during our 12 day stay. Rusty

This cabin was exactly as advertised and we loved it! Well equipped, comfortable, clean and adorable furnishings. Our hosts were helpful when we needed but otherwise not obtrusive. Perfect!

Perfect Getaway Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful weekend at the cabin. All stress and worries melted away the moment my wife and I saw it. The owners Don and Lenni were very warm and inviting and made sure that we felt at home in their cabin. They made sure to provide everything you could think of for a relaxing getaway; grill, comfy couch and bed, good reading material and quality cooking supplies for the kitchen. The overall experience was wonderful and we can't wait to get back and enjoy another visit to the Long Look cabin.

A wonderful, restful, peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

Lenni and Don are excellent hosts -- gracious, kind, informative and helpful. The cabin is sweet, cozy, quiet and relaxing, and really well appointed for everything you need. We came for a short anniversary getaway, mainly looking for a couple days of relaxation, pretty countryside, just enough adventure to satisfy, and some soulful rest time, and we encountered all of that. There's plenty to do nearby if you want -- hiking, fishing, scenic drives, towns to visit, etc -- and we did some of that, but it was also lovely and restorative to just stay on the property, wander around, take strolls with our dogs, and get into a more quiet rhythm. The ranch and cabin are located in a beautiful area, so whether you stay very local or wander further afield, you'll soak up plenty of beauty... It's also nice that it's not a very highly touristed area, so you feel like you're spending time somewhere real and appreciating its rhythms -- though if you really want touristy stuff to do (Cripple Creek, swimming holes, etc), there's plenty not far away at all. Lenni and Don are very kind and helpful; they're there when you need them, but definitely give you great privacy and space to yourself. The cabin is there on the property, but you feel secluded enough, and they're very welcoming and gracious, so you don't feel like you're in the way. Overall we had a lovely and peaceful and fulfilling time, and it was everything we were looking for. Thank you, Lenni and Don!

Clean and peaceful!

  • 2 of 5

The trip involved fishing and it is not real close to any fishing spots. Beds are hard. Very clean place.
