3 families, 3 wonderful vacations! We love Breckenridge-but staying here and playing pool & shuffleboard and following it up with a hot tub soak was fantastic! Thank you!
Every aspect of this vacation was spectacular. Communication with bookbreck was spot on and immediate. The pictures of the 11 Barney Ford Property do not do it justice. This was a dream vacation that came true. I'm sitting at the breakfast nook writing this review before heading out. Soaking in one last view of the mountains. A quirky thing that I enjoyed was watching the lights of the snow cats grooming the trails on the mountain at night. I also enjoyed looking at the shadows with the sunrise and fog over the mountain tops as well. I think, "It just doesn't get better than this." Thank you
We just finished our stay at this wonderful home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, roomy and very clean. We enjoyed all of the games (pool table and shuffle board) as well as the hot tub and all of the board games for family time. We would certainly come back again. Great place for a family get together and within minutes of the slopes.
This is definitely a five-star house! We met our adult kids there for a weekend of hiking, exploring, and celebrating my birthday! The views from every room of the house are gorgeous! There was plenty of open space to relax and enjoy our weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was immaculate . It is well located near town yet very private. We're looking forward to a return visit !
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed this home! The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we could possibly use for our BBQ and cooking needs. The mountain views from ground level to upper floors were gorgeous. My favorite room was the mini library/game room. A great reading area. We loved hanging out in the living room with the many windows that show cased the mountains. Plenty of space for a much larger group. The bar and game-pool table and shuffle board (AWESOME) in the basement was wonderful. Sound system throughout the house. Our college age daughters used their IPhones to provide music while we were in the hot tub...and the hot tub ...oh my gosh! After hiking and biking it was THEE PLACE to be! So many sitting areas with a view and two eating areas, not counting the deck! Master bedroom was bathed in beautiful morning light and a view that only appears in magazines....yep.....a great place!
The Barney Ford Lodge is a great place to stay while visiting Breckenridge. The house is comfortable and well-equiped. The game room downstairs is a real bonus. Both the seating and the beds were very comfortable.
We did have problems with the TV in the living room and the abundance of light switches was daunting. Window coverings are needed in the bedrooms as the morning sun on the snow can be blinding. It is also too far from town to walk and a shuttle is required to get there. It is possible to drive, but parking can be difficult to find. The cleaning service arrived at ten minutes to ten and had to move their car so we could make it our of the garage by the ten am check-out time. That was not necessary.
Great location, breathtaking views, all the amenities you could possibly need...and a gorgeous home to boot! We had a wonderful time staying here and appreciate all the thoughtful details that made our stay even easier. We even had an issue with the hot water one evening and were impressed with how quickly and efficiently the issue was addressed. The gourmet kitchen was a delight to cook in and the main room and bedrooms were all lovely. The hot tub was relaxing after a long day of hiking and the deck was a beautiful place to relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The decor (e.g. fixtures, etc.) could use an update but it is obvious no expense was spared in building this home. Our family loved staying here and we would recommend it to anyone!
