VIP Ski Shuttle information-

-Operating hours 7:30am - 5:30pm. Dial option 2 when scheduling ride (not 3 for reservations).

-Reservations should be made in advance (no more than three days prior to use). You will be able to reserve up to two consecutive days at a time. If calls are placed last-minute during peak hours, the service may already be fully booked.

-There is a maximum of 4 rides per day with only 1 ride between the hours of 8:00am-10:00am and 1 ride between 3:00pm-5:00pm.

-Dropoff locations include all ski resort peak bases, Main Street Breckenridge and Park Avenue.

-Guests must be ready at their scheduled pick-up times. Vehicles are not allowed to wait more than 3 minutes. Drivers are expected at other pickups.

-If there is a need to cancel a scheduled pick up, please do so 45 minutes or more in advance of pick-up so that drivers can get to other calls.

A very nice house that hasn't been maintained recently.

This house is really nice and the views are amazing. I do think they could improve a few things going forward.

The kitchen is ill equipped for a house of this size. The # of pots and pans are insufficient and the plates are completely chipped. The stove top vent worked sometimes and others times it didn't. There really aren't any wine glasses except for plastic ones.

Furthermore, there would be people walking around the property doing various jobs with no warning or heads up that we should be expecting them. Some days it was at 8 in the morning, waking up our kids as they scraped the deck or work on the hot tub.

The house was really hot when we arrived and smelled. We were told as we arrived and opened windows to air it out. Once it cooled down to a normal temperature, the smell did go away.

Overall it is a beautiful home, but appears that it is not being maintained. For the money, I've rented nicer places.

Owner's Response: Hi Diane. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. The guests who checked out the morning of your arrival had the heat set to 80 and it really was unbearably warm in there. We're truly sorry that all we could do was notify you of it and to suggest you open doors and windows upon arrival to cool it down. We did not pick up on any strange smells but happy to hear whatever it was did not linger. When we checked in on you the next day to make sure everything met your expectation, you shared the house was hot but nothing else. We are so sorry to learn now of the things that would have made your experience better. Had we been notified during your stay, we would have happily followed up on all of it- For example to show you which cabinet the 10 stemless glass wine glasses were stored in the kitchen and the 9 standard glass wine glasses were in the bar downstairs. We could have also shown you how the hinges on the cabinet doors hit the dishes causing them to chip. It was unfortunate to learn after they were purchased that the dinner plates did not fit well in the cabinet so that they were easily chipped. So while they look bad, they're fairly new so we didn't have them replaced. We see now that was a mistake and have replaced them. We did purchase a few more large pots as well so that hopefully the next guests find there is a sufficient amount. As far as the stove vent, the large open kitchen so rarely needs the vent. We’re truly sorry that when you felt you needed it, it did not work every time as it should. We have that scheduled to be looked at. Regarding the snow shovelers, we're sorry you found them intrusive and a nuisance, which is the exact opposite of our intention. They are contracted to shovel anytime we get an accumulation of snow to ensure guests who want to hit the slopes early are able to get around on cleared walkways. We are very disappointed to hear about your experience and want to ensure this doesn't happen again. We hope to get a call back from you as well to see if there is anything else you recommend to improve the guest experience. We're glad you enjoyed the views and otherwise found the home to be beautiful. It really is and we hope any future guests contact us to share any disappoints so that we can address them right away. Heaven in the Rockies

The house was well kept & offered our family lots of room. The views are 2nd to none. We really enjoyed cooking together at the end of the day and the 2 dining rooms were ideal. I think the staff is kind & accommodating & easy to reach. Our stay was perfect. The only thing I disagree with; charging $50 per 15 min of checking in early. If the property is vacant & I'm paying $1100 a night for a week, why try to gouge me for what is already my booked vacation??!!! Maddening! I understand the charge if you OVERSTAY, the house needs to be prepared for the next guest, granted! But, come on...that is a fine print "FAUX_PAS"!

Owner's Response: Hi Cheryl. We're happy to know you enjoyed your time at the Barney Ford Lodge and all that it offers. Regarding your unauthorized early check in, the house may have looked ready but we have cleaning inspectors whose sole job is to follow up after cleaners to ensure our rentals are cleaned properly, in great shape, and that incoming guests don’t get wrongly accused for damage caused by a previous guest. In your case, we spoke the day of your arrival when you called to inquire about checking in earlier than the 4:00 pm check-in time. We notified you then that a family checked out that very morning, so we would need time to prepare it for your arrival, but we would call you if ready before 4:00 pm. You asked if you could drop off your luggage in the garage which we were happy to allow to accommodate you. So, we are surprised at your comments, especially considering your interaction with our inspector when she arrived to find that your family had already checked in despite our conversation only a couple hours earlier. We were even more taken aback by the fact that you then chose to checkout an hour later without communicating with us, and again we had another family checking in later that day. We do not enforce our policies to be mean. We have them because we want to ensure the same great experience for all our guests, and our staff cannot have time to provide that experience when guests choose to check in early or depart late without approval. For the departure, it also means we have to pay the cleaners to just sit in their cars and wait, and to take up time when they could have been elsewhere in a busy tourist town. It throws off their schedule, and could force others to not be able to check in by 4pm as we promise. Again, we’re glad you enjoyed the home itself and had a good time in Breckenridge and thank you for raising this point for others so they understand the importance of our policies.

Great Views And Location, But House Needs Work!

This house is showing its age & wear and tear. We rented this house for the holidays and although the location and views were great, the house needs repairs and updating. We had to deal with the property management company, Book Breck, too many times for basic needs that should have been addressed prior to our arrival. They stated that the property was inspected, but in fact it was not. Almost every plate was chipped, no ice in the ice maker, no lighters for the grill, non working fireplace, exposed wires hanging from the rear of the building near hot tub, pool table felt in bad shape and worn leather couches contributed to the lower rating.

The Shuttle Service, Plan B, was great. These guys did a great job.

We've have hundreds of happy guests stay at this home with over 80 positive reviews just on VRBO/HA alone, all of whom have loved and greatly enjoyed this beautiful property. Let us address each issue you brought up: -This home was built in 2000. The photos are current within the last year and very accurately depict exactly what each room looks like. -The property was in fact inspected prior to your arrival which is standard procedure prior to guest arrival. It was discovered during that inspection that the gas fireplace in the game room was not functioning properly and it was disconnected for guest safety. Since you checked in on Christmas Eve, we were not able to get a repairman to the house to perform repair on an ambiance-only gas fireplace. The other two fireplaces in the main living area and master bedroom were working properly and the in-floor radiant heating was working properly so thankfully heat was not an issue for you. -We will pass along your feedback on the dishware to the homeowners. -After we were informed of no ice in the ice maker, our staff went by the home and turned it to the "on" position for you. The "exposed wires" by the hot tub are only speaker wires which are often found in outdoor areas for the option of speakers. They are not live wires or potentially hazardous whatsoever. -We will pass along your feedback of the pool table to the homeowners. It does have signs of wear but is completely functional with no parts missing. -By nature, leather does show signs of wear over time. All leather sofas are still in great shape, but we're sorry you felt they are worn. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the free VIP shuttle service, the fabulous views and the location only 2 miles north of Breckenridge in a beautiful neighborhood. We always want our guests' stays to be trouble free and relaxing. We do hope you and your group enjoyed the many other amenities the home has to offer and the Breckenridge area in general. Beautiful Home, Gorgeous View!

We rented this home for a special girls weekend to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday and upcoming nuptials. It was an ideal space for us with such a large kitchen - it was so easy for us to make a lot of meals in to save money! - dining room, family room gathering area, and basement bar and games. We spent the most time in the spacious family room with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the amazing view of the mountains. We woke up to a fresh snowfall on Saturday morning, making the hot tub the perfect place to relax after breakfast! The house was clean and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. It was also just a few minute drive to downtown Breckenridge. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Home

We stayed for 6 nights and this place was very nice. the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with equipment, and the bar room area was a great place to unwind after a nice day of activities. but the view from the patio/livingroom/master bedroom was by far the best thing about this property. highly recommend this for a week getaway, especially if like us there are 3 families traveling together.

Four of us enjoyed this beautiful home for 6 days in gorgeous Breckenridge!! It exceeded our expectations in so many ways! Had a GREAT and comfortable stay. Stunning views!! Only comment from one guest was that mattress in lowest level master bedroom was a little "hard". All other mattresses were great. Thanks for a great stay!! Cannot say enough about the Book Breck staff...they are excellent!!
