Condo located in Noord . Exactly one half mile from beautiful Palm Beach and the High Rise Hotels and Casinos.
Cozy, Clean Condo in a safe gated community. There are three Golf Courses on the Island along with the beautiful white sandy beaches. Palm Beach is a half mile away and Eagle Beach is not more than two miles away. Baby beach ,which is a must to visit, is at the end of the Island about 20 miles away from the condo.
The Condo is close to many good restaurants , recreation, grocery and liquor stores, banks, churches and pharmacy are within walking distance.
Kids loved the pool! Location and price were perfect! Everything we wanted for our first trip to Aruba! We will be back! Thanks so much!
This was our first trip to Aruba and Tanya's condo was everything we needed. The location was great for enjoying the Palm/Eagle beach areas. Restaurants were nearby or we drove. A car is a must if you want to see other parts of the Island. We really appreciated Tanya providing beach chairs and the little cooler (we used it every day). We sat out on the balcony every morning for breakfast and loved it. Don't be worried about being on the third floor. It actually gives you more privacy and the stairs are easy to navigate. We went to the beach most days but really appreciated the pools at the condo also. And the folks who managed the front gate were very friendly. You can walk to Palm beach from the condo as well as Linda's and Bingo (restaurants). Tanya's condo had everything we needed (really appreciated the washer/dryer) and we enjoyed getting to know Tanya during the scheduling process. We will be back next year!
The condo was clean & well-stocked (even had a washer-dryer). The location was just a <5 min drive to Eagle and Palm Beaches. We enjoyed walking laps around the complex loop each morning; it was great exercise and we met many of the neighbors. The staff was fab (we will miss Presca’s “thumbs up” sign every time we saw her).
I would definitely recommend Tanya’s condo to others. The only time responses were delayed was when she was out of the country and couldn’t get to her calls or emails (which I didn’t realize at the time)…but once she got back, communication was swift and smooth.
Below are recommendations for first-time visitors/those looking for ideas:
A Jeep (vs. car) rental is recommended. We always use More4Less. Turns out that Tanya uses them too…they know her well.
For ambiance/al fresco dining: Papiamento, Passions, Pinchos, Flying Fishbone (try to go to FF during high tide +/- 1 hour, and get a table in the water). For just plain old good food: Wacky Wahoo, Gasparito (intimate experience in an old Aruban house, family-run business).
Climb Hooiberg! We did it 4 days in a row and it’s a great way to offset all the eating. Wild goats often hang out on the rocks at the top.
Stop by a grocery store, buy 1-2 bags of carrots, and head to the Donkey Sanctuary (off Frenchman’s Pass). They’re pretty insistent when they know you have carrots, but gentle.
We snorkeled in a few spots, but Baby Beach still wins. In addition to regular fish there, we saw a squid nearly a foot long – as well as the massive head of a fish hanging out in a tight “crawl space” of coral.
The bat caves in Arikok National Park are a must-see. The Natural Pool is also in the park, but you can only get there by Jeep/ATV or horseback. Bring your snorkeling gear!
We renewed our vows this last trip and used Robert Arenz of Dream Weddings Aruba. He is personable, professional, and a great photographer.
SuperFood (grocery store) has pretty much anything you need. Stop by the courtesy desk to get a club card, similar to a US grocery store club card. Note - as of 1/1/17 Aruba no longer provides grocery bags. So bring bags!
Drink water/wear lots of sunblock. I wore SPF 60 on my face/SPF 30 elsewhere and STILL got color. ORIGINAL Avon Skin So Soft will keep the mosquitoes away…apply it all over when you go out!
Enjoy this beautiful island and cherish every moment…no matter how long you’re staying, it goes by way too fast.
Everything looked like the pictures. I would have liked more información upon our arrival. I never received a detailed mail from the owner, it was all given through a call I had to make to homeaway the day before arriving. You pretty much have to find out about things on your own. Everything was clean and looked like pictures shown. It was well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. I would have liked for example that the bath towels were all the same type. The pillows are very hard. For the rest it had everything we needed for our stay.
I've been to Aruba many times, this is the first time I stayed in a condo. I was a little concerned when I found out there is no elevator since I just had surgery a month ago , but it was only three flights of stairs. I found the place extremely quaint. It was clean and had everything that you would find at home. And since I traveled alone the 24/7 security was awesome and very friendly. The room is right across from the pool so if you don't want to go to beach, you don't have to. I would recommend to anyone to stay there. I did not Rent-A-Car I enjoyed walking and there are restaraunts within walking distance. Thank you Tanya!
We loved our stay at Tanya's place - the condo was clean and well furnished, and the condo community was very clean and people were extremely friendly. Tanya was easy to work with and very nice! We ended up renting a car just because it was a little too far to walk to the beach and to the grocery store, but you could do it by taxi or bus if you wanted to. Super Foods was the supermarket we used - it seemed to be the most like our grocery store at home. The small local market was very expensive. Once we got used to the way the locals drive (oh my gosh they're crazy) we did all right with finding our way around. The condo is very close to a Dutch pancake house called Linda's - definitely worth a visit! When we go again (and we will definitely try to stay in the same condo!) we'll make sure to change some money over to florin - we found that when we paid with US dollars, we would frequently get change back in florin - which didn't really work out because of the exchange rate. That was really the only issue we had. We love Aruba and the people there!
