My wife and I, very late 40's. We have stayed all up and down 30-A. This is as good a value as you can find. Perfect for couple, could sleep 4 using the pullout sofa but it might be tight if all were adults and inside a lot. Nicely decorated, not a million dollar condo, but nice. 5 minute walk to beach, 2 minutes by bike if rent/bring them. (my guess is 300-400 yards to start of beach and 200-250 yards from there to feet in the ocean) We enjoyed the balcony as well. Pool is a little old but good and clean, we swam in it everyday. Nice, fair priced restaurants a quick ride by car or 10-20 minute bike ride depending on choice. We rode to eat out twice and enjoyed it. About 25-30 minutes bike ride to Seaside square/circle. Also quiet at night, except for occasional noise from upstairs. There is ample parking, unit would be considered 3rd story but this is a park under building. Has good working elevator, we used everyday.
My husband I went to stay for a couple of days down at Seagrove. I had stayed at one of the other studios earlier and found that this is the perfect size for a couple who don't mind having a smaller space. Price is right, the complex is very quiet. Someone in the other reviews mentioned that you could hear the people walking above you on the next floor - true. I heard it also in the other studio. Think that goes with the territory in these places. The place was clean and we really enjoyed out stay. The only reason I gave 4 stars was the lack of internet access. I overlooked checking this part carefully before reserving the place. So many places do have WIFI as part of the stay. I hope the owner will consider that - to me it is even more important than cable. However, other than that, we had a good time, talked to the person who oversees the place that is on the premises - nice to know there was someone there if we needed some assistance. All in all, a nice stay! Would consider staying there again next time if there is WIFI! By the way, the water was absolutely gorgeous!
We vacation like most people, because it's Needed. We get so caught up in everyday life that sometime things that are really important are given a back seat. This was the Perfect place for the two of us. Location is great, being between PCBeach and Destin. The unit is comfortable (bed included), great A/C, appliances, TV etc. We didn't want or need anything that wasn't available. Pool was super. We chose this unit because of price, amenities and location and it was better than expected. Having been to PCB only one time before I can see now why this is called The Emerald Coast, the water is a gorgeous green. The beach is immaculate with some unspoiled areas that are preserved for dunes and bird habitat. We definitely got many beach walks in that helped in our recharging. This unit is very close to the beach and can be reached (walk) in 5 minutes or less. We originally were going to stay 5 days then we decided on 6, and then with 6 we got a 7th free. That was easy. Patti was the contact on this unit and she made everything so effortless for us. Would recommend to anyone that seeking a comfortable beach stay. Thanks Patti ................... we loved it.
I booked this condo last minute (for myself traveling alone with young kids) and it was a perfect stay. The condo is small (a studio), but most importantly it is clean and is great for a budget. The location is great - close to things by car, but not in the center of spring break craziness. The pool is steps away and the beach is close enough that my 2 year old walked to it without ever using the stroller. We will definitely return!
We came to Seagrove to enjoy the beautiful beaches, and avoid crowds. We were pleased with our week on the lovely, uncrowded beach in this charming community. Patti was friendly and helpful. The condo was a great price, and available for our last-minute booking, so we were happy just to be there. We had issues with the AC, but maintenance quickly responded and attempted to fix it. We rented bikes for our daily trek to the beach, and loved that there were no stairs to climb at the access point, which was a 1 minute bike ride from the condo. The elevator and luggage carts were helpful. We enjoyed the pool, and appreciated the manicured lawn and landscaping.
Potential renters should be aware of a few things. This condo is not in the main part of Seagrove. It is a 10 minute bike ride to the nearest restaurant, Old Florida Fish House, and 20+ minutes on a bike to the actual shops and such in Seagrove. You will need a car to get anything from or go to town, especially with small children after a long day on the beach. The condo is as described: "nothing fancy." The building is dated, as is this particular unit. I would guess it to be from the early 1980's, and imagine most of the decor and fixtures are as well. Although we had every cooking item we needed, they were low quality products and all of the non-stick cookware was scratched up. The floors were sandy upon arrival, there was a dirty towel under the sink (brown dirty/dusty spots that washed out, so not stained), and the provided bar of Zest was moldy from sitting in a wet cardboard box. Luckily there was a broom and dustpan. The unit has a musty/mildew smell that may bother some renters. The building was being painted a lovely blue when we were there. The first morning we awoke to find a strange man on the balcony, but he turned out to be a painter. The sounds of the hydraulic lift and pressure washers, along with the loud noises from the other units (see other poster) truly did distract from this super quiet and peaceful location. The unit is tiny, as is the TV. If we had been stuck with poor weather, it would have been a struggle for three of us to get comfortable.
Overall, this studio is good for the price. It is in need of a total renovation, but I imagine the price will increase when the owners decide to invest. It will be worth it, as it will guarantee return renters since the beach here is superb. Avoid this unit if you are high maintenance. Rent this unit if you are easy going/laid back
I do enjoy that area very much and have stayed there before. However I do think I will be staying in those rentals again, because my son ,wife and two children came this time because they also love that area. The night we arrived the air condtioning in their unit was not working. We told the on site lady there what was happening and she said she couldn't call for service repair until the next morning which she ,but my son and his family stayed with us in our small unit where it was cooler. The next day the air did get fixed and I ask the on site lady about a refund on the one night that nobody could stay in the unit with no air and I was told NO ....I ask about maybe just at least not paying the extra cleaning fee and again was told NO ....I don't understand it was not my son's fault the air didn't work so I know for a fact he and his family will never go there again.....please let me know how this matter should have been handled......so not right way to treat your clients.....Thanks Linda Stanley
