About Pauline Sullivan

We are the Sullivans, Pauline and Clair. We live on the property, which we find very convenient, problems, help with restaurant recommendations, even pet sitting have all been our pleasure to perform.

Pauline Sullivan purchased this cottage in 1979

Why Pauline Sullivan chose Niagara-on-the-Lake

We originally purchased 659 King Street, for its close proximity to Live theatre and a wonderful golf course. It was originally used by the family as 2 cottages, 1 for guests. After retiring we decided to live in the front cottage and rent the rear cottage as a vacation spot.

This a charming, convenient and reasonable place to stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake

This is a fully furnished cottage with two bedrooms, kitchen and bath and in addition to that there is a large sunroom, and a lovely garden if you have time to enjoy it. The owner is wonderful and very accommodating. We have enjoyed staying with her twice and hope to be there again. It is convenient to all three theatres!

What a lucky find!!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic and we wished it could have been longer. Pauline is a wonderful host and provided everything we could have needed. She even kept an eye on our dog when we were out. The cottage is spacious and the location is fabulous, just a short walk from the center of town. This will be our first choice for our next visit.

Clean, quiet, great location

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time with another couple in this two bedroom cottage. It's only a short distance from Queen St where we spent two days shopping. The cottage was clean with all the amenities that you would need for your stay. The owners decorated it very nicely and the enclosed breezeway was large and a nice space for your morning coffee or playing cards at night. We would definitely return on our next trip to NOTL.

Left a week ago. Already trying to figure out when we can come back!

The listing is accurate.

The property was very well maintained and Pauline provided excellent guidance leading up to and during our stay.

We loved her garden. The sunroom/carport was also very nicely appointed. We only regret that our stay was not longer that we could not spend more time relaxing at the cottage.

Location is excellent - Queen St is pretty close by (we biked)

I strongly recommend this cottage and will try to return.

Wonderful Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pauline's cozy cottage. We found the description to be accurate. Everything was clean and well maintained and Pauline was helpful with helping us get settled in. It was lovely to be able to walk downtown, to be such a short drive from many wineries, terrific restaurants, Fort George, and to be so close to the Shaw Festival locations. We also enjoyed relaxing in the garden and using the outdoor grill. Thanks, Pauine!

all of the reviews were spot on. it is a wonderful and quaint cottage behind the primary residence and it was awesome. it is just 3/4 mile down king street and is just far enough off the main strip that you feel like you are in another world. the garden was picturesque and we were awoken by birds every morning. there was no need for an alarm. the owner (Pauline) was more than accommodating and we had everything we needed. her puppy was also a delight. you can either walk to town or take your car. totally up to you. we will be staying again in the fall for the harvesting festival and hope it will be available. thanks again alnwick cottage.
