Spectacular Ocean, Ridge and San Francisco views! Ideal as a creative retreat for writer or composer (there is a grand piano) or as a healing sanctuary for a recuperation of the body or soul. It is private, country elegant and inspirational.
Have breakfast overlooking an unobstructed view of the sea with San Francisco on the horizon line. Watch the moon come over the ridge and traverse your picture window. Sleep with the sound of the ocean waves and awake to the sound of birds. Cuddle with Mini, a 2-year old black cat who comes and goes as she pleases with her radio collar and cat door.
With proximity to numerous State Parks, including Audubon Canyon Ranch and Point Reyes National Seashore, you will have endless opportunities to hike and bike and observe wildlife. There is a tennis court in town, a world-class arts museum, an organic market and farm (Prince Charles visited not long ago), and a vibrant music life at Smiley's Bar.
You are less than an hour from San Francisco and less than a half hour from other West Marin towns like Pt Reyes Station, Olema, Inverness, Stinson Beach and Muir Beach. Weekly housekeeper and gardener included.
This is my home and my philosophy has been to live where I would like to be on vacation! I need to travel frequently and for long periods and so would like to make my piece of paradise available to others who can appreciate the specialness of this magical location.
There is a timeless feeling here and life unfolds naturally. If I need more excitement, I drive to a nearby town or 'over the hill' to Mill Valley. I moved here after living in New York City for almost 20 years and came for the healing properties of this location- for one year that turned into 15 years!
What a wonderful place! My mom, Stepdad and I spent Christmas in Bolinas, and had an unforgettable California beach town get away.
Couldn't say enough to compliment the house, the view, or the home owner who was very responsive when we had any questions!
Thanks so much to Suzanne!
This home is very comfortable and more spacious than was needed for us. We loved the great room on the entry level upstairs, particularly the stone fireplace. It was spotless overall. The setting is spectacular but also quiet, very much appreciated. We practically lived on the terraces and decks as the weather was mostly sunny and we enjoyed watching the surfers just below, ducks, pelicans etc. One day we saw eight eagles soaring overhead. Suzanne was very helpful by email, phone and notes on the house itself. We would definitely recommend to friends and hope to stay again. thanks!
Access to 67,000 Acre Point Reyes National Seashore.
