About Brett Jarvis

Pocono Dream Cabins is family owned and operated. After moving to the Poconos from NYC, we soon discovered how amazingly beautiful and serene the Poconos truly are--especially considering how close we are to NYC and Philadelphia. Our cabins are approximately 1.5 hours from NYC and 2 hours from Philadelphia. We have had guests from as far away as Holland, and as close as just across the border of New Jersey. Our cabins are fully stocked with all the amenities, including towels and linens.

Home away from home.

I cried when our stay was over😢򘠠From the moment we stepped through the door it felt like home. Extremely clean! Everything you need! I loved cooking in the kitchen. The back porch was so relaxing and peaceful. The hot tub after long hikes on some of the trails in the area was awesome. We went to some of the falls and enjoyed picnicing. At night the Whipperwil gave us a wonderful concert. We saw bear in the yard, two coyotes and the chipmunks were my favorite. We will definitely come back in the winter for a long weekend. I want to use the big fireplace. Thank you Jeff for creating a paradise for those who need it once in awhile.

Exceeded Expectations

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for an open, clean, relaxing cabin that has some space between you and your neighbors --- this is the spot. It was a very convenient location, going to Bushkill Falls, Raymondskill Falls, and even drove up to Jim Thorpe for some rafting.

Our favorite part of the house was the back porch looking into the forest. The porch is huge and has a big table (perfect for a group dinner), porch swing, and hot tub. We spent most of our down time there or at the fire pit.

I would recommend staying here and I definitely look forward to going back soon.

Fun Trip with Old Friends

  • 4 of 5

Six of us came to the Delaware River to kayak and catch up after many years. The property was really nice and exactly as pictured on the website. I didn't think we needed a hot-tub when I originally booked the house, but we all enjoyed it in the evenings. We planned on cooking steak one night so we stopped at Fretta's in Milford. Their meat selection was great and the steaks were awesome. We highly recommend it.

The listing led me to believe that the property would have trail access to the state forest. We saw a trail through the backyard, but it was not clear where it went or if it connected to part of a state park trail. It may be useful to list the nearest trails to the house in the book. We saw some on Silver Lake Road, but it would be nice if you could highlight the features of the nearest trails.

In short, we had a great time. Thank you for a great weekend in a great lodge.

Exceeded Our Expectations

  • 5 of 5

This was a 2 night stay for 4 buddies getting away from NYC. I was worried that the cabin would be too big for the 4 of us and that we would feel "lost" in it. It was actually perfect. I'd say this cabin is perfect for 4-8 people. There's plenty of real estate for sleeping if you wanted to go with more people though. There was only one issue with the property. The hot tub jets were not working properly. Brett (the property manager) responded to my email promptly, and within an hour, there was a very nice gentleman who showed up to try to fix the tub. It became clear that he didn't have the necessary parts to fix the issue, so they arranged to have another gentleman come later in the day. He figured out that it was a control panel problem, and he didn't have the parts to fix it. Considering we were only there for 2 days, it's completely fine that they weren't able to have it fixed in a day. I feel that they did everything they could to fix the issue. Great customer service.

I would 100% stay here again!

There is a huge area of public land, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and forest surrounding the property. Nearby you'll find the Mountain Laurel Center with concerts and events, Pecks Pond, where you can see Bald Eagles, rent boats and fish, or eat at the historic Pecks Pond Inn. Lake Wallenpaupack, the third largest body of water in PA, is 20 minutes away. High Knob, one of the highest mountains in the Poconos, is just a few minutes away. Numerous ski areas, golf courses, paintball, boating, hiking, ATV and Snowmobile trails, waterfalls, and more are all in the nearby area. Milford, Stroudsburg, Matamoras, and Hawley are all about 20-30 minutes away. This property is located centrally in the Poconos so you are within a reasonable drive of almost all of the attractions. What is most unique about this property is that it is not in a gated community, unlike most Pocono vacation rentals, so you can enjoy real seclusion while still being close to civilization.

As for skiing, the great thing about this location is that you are right in the middle of most of the Pocono ski areas. We get a lot of skiers who want to visit a different area every day. Tanglewood is only 12 miles away, about a 20 minute drive. You are also within 30 miles of Shawnee, Camelback, Mountain Creek, Big Bear, Alpine Mountain, Fernwood, and even Sno Mountain in Scranton is not out of reach.
