Welcome to Sand Castlemore – the perfect escape to the Seascape of the Pacific Northwest. Just 16 steps from the sand, this beachfront luxury home was nominated for 2009 through 2017 King 5 & Evening Magazine Best of Western Washington Northwest Escapes--Best Getaways. Our beautiful, custom-built, Lindal Cedar (beachfront) home is slightly more than a 2 hour drive from the Seattle/Tacoma or Portland areas. Located on Sunset Beach in Moclips, Washington it is an easy drive north of Ocean Shores. The home's seashore setting, glorious unobstructed panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, decadent accommodations, and magical charm make it the perfect vacation destination for families, friends, romantic getaways, and for a sea escape from the 'real world.'

Make no mistake, SAND CASTLEMORE IS JUST STEPS FROM THE SAND -- not like homes on the bluff requiring a serious hike to the beach or a drive in the car, and not like homes to the south sitting a mile or more back from the sand’s edge -- but rather, Sand Castlemore requires only 16 easy steps from the homes deck, down a private staircase, to the sea grass below. Imagine spending the entire day on the beach but only having a quick trip up your very own stairs to grab a beach towel, some food and drink, or to meet a restroom need. This can be especially handy with children or older folk who may tire more easily. This home has unmatched privacy--there are no homes on the beach to the south as far as the eye can see. This is especially convenient when enjoying the private hot tub.

This part of the Washington Coast features a beautiful high bluff with windswept trees, and the tranquil, unspoiled beaches below. Perhaps more surprising, it features the expansive Olympic wilderness that is famous for its BIGFOOT SIGHTINGS. Several of the most “well-known and documented” sightings have been only a few miles from our home. We won’t tell if we’ve seen Bigfoot ourselves!

There are several of the best steelhead and salmon rivers in the whole Pacific Northwest within a 30 minute drive. Lake Quinault is a 20 minute drive east. The Hoh River rain forest and the Olympic National Park are a short distance away.

This gorgeous 3 bedroom, 2 bath home can accommodate up to 8 guests and offers unmatched seaside quality throughout.

Our Home Away from Home

We have now stayed at this beautiful beach home twice and it doesn't get any better. So well appointed, super clean and top of the line everything. We will surely be making many more visits this beautiful beach front home. We wish to thank the owners for allowing us to share such a wonderful home at the beach. Very Well Appointed

Sand Castlemore was very well appointed and well stocked for our stay, the owners Dann and Diane do a very good job with maintaining their property and ensuring the house is ready for people to enjoy a relaxing time when they stay there. The location, being right on the beach, was fantastic and the views from inside and from the deck were really the best you can get. Rain or shine I think you'd be happy here...

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful time at the coast staying in Dann and Diane's Beach house. It is a beautiful house with a panoramic view of the beach. The house is well stocked with kitchen items, the furniture is comfortable for a crowd. We loved the great room layout. Everything was organized and very clean, it was an extremely nice house to stay in. We'll definitely stay there again! Our family enjoyed it immensely.

Wonderful location, beautiful, views, and a lovely, well equipped home - We had everything we needed for our annual "Siblings Escape".

The owners are great to work with, the neighbors nearby were friendly and fun. Could not have been better.

Our family was very surprised to the details that this property included from the heated towel bar to every spice you could want in the kitchen. Beach access was very easy. Due to the weather we were not able to use the hot tub but it also appeared to be very clean. We use VRBO a few times a year and I hope that our next experience on the Big Island in HAWAII is half of what this was.

Sand Castlemore is slightly more than a two hour drive from the Seattle/Tacoma or Portland areas. Take I-5 toward Olympia. Merge onto Hwy 101 N (Ocean Beaches Exit, 101N, 109N, Hwy 8, Interstate 12). In about 5 miles, bear West onto SR-8. SR-8 becomes US Hwy 12. 20 more miles and you come to Aberdeen. Travel through Aberdeen and Hoquiam. From Hoquiam, follow the Forks/Port Angeles 101N turn to the right and head North on Highway 101 for about 4 miles. Turn Left onto Ocean Beach Road. Head NW on Ocean Beach Road for about 20 miles until you get to the intersection of Ocean Beach Road and SR-109, at Pacific Beach. Turn right onto SR-109 and travel north for about 1 mile. Turn Left onto SUNSET STREET and proceed down hill to Sand Castlemore -- on the left (beach side) of the road.

Other Activities: Beach combing, kite flying, razor clamming, fishing, beach fires, sand castle building.
