You've heard of LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!...LUXURY! LUXURY! LUXURY!...correct?
Well, this house on 9th Street defines it ala Step into this house and walk on walnut antique floors, high ceilings, and most of the furniture is from Neiman Marcus.
The house was built in 1910! This is why it is located in the heart of Austin, Texas. We did a full remodel, but you still have the charm of Austin! The neighborhood is recognized as 'Banker's Row' or 'The French Legation Museum' area. The French Legation Museum is right across the street!
In the early 1900's all the banks were located in Downtown Austin. In fact, just walk across the street and walk to visit our neighbor, and tour the 'Oldest House in Austin!' Built 171 years ago, it sits inside the French Legation Museum grounds. This is how historic this neighborhood is. The bankers lived in this neighborhood and would walk, or ride a horse and carriage to work.
The Vacation Rental House is 2600-2700 sq. ft.! The house has an open floor plan, which is great for entertaining! The living room, dining room, breakfast room and kitchen are all open to one another and makes a great place to visit. The house has a total of 4 bathrooms (3 full and one 1/2 bath). On the first floor, there is a large family room, dining room, kitchen, tea room and breakfast bar! We also have 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. We have a gorgeous front porch that is perfect for cocktails! On the side of the house there are tables and chairs and gas grill!
As you head upstairs to the 2nd floor, you will find that the stairs are also made of antique walnut wood with a wrought ir From the 2nd level you will be able to view the gorgeous Austin Skyline! You can see the Capital, Frost Bank Tower, and many of the other Austin landmarks including the amazing sunset!
This is a very unique house!! Remember, it was built in 1910, but a complete remodel and upstair addition in 2006! Yes, it has 2 big central air-condition units because it does get hot in Texas!
Imagine a vacation where you do not have to drive anywhere the entire time you are here. So much is within walking distance or if you choose to ride a $5.00 cab will get you downtown or UBER. 95% of our guests do not rent a car!
Keep in mind that this house is on E. 9th Street! Walk to to the night life right on E. 6th Street, Rainy Street, Congress District, 2nd Street District, West 6th District and so many more areas! Check out 'The Eastside District' and you must find time to grab a beer and listen to every type of music that has ever been written! Rainey Street is just an 8 minute walk from your vacation rental! Google it! Wells Fargo is 2 blocks, CVS pharmacy is 2 blocks, Gualdalupe Catholic Church is 2 blocks, Blue Dahlia Resturant is 3 blocks, Angie's Mexican Food is on E. 7th, Sagra (Italina food) is on E. 11th, Franklin Bar B Q is 21/2 blocks, liquor store is 2 blocks on E. 11th, Mijos Mexican restaurant is on E. 11th, walk two blocks from the house and you will be on E. 11th.

Our 3 vacation homes are located in the heart of Austin. Keep in mind these are big houses and NOT A CONDO! It is rare that you will find big vacation rental houses this close to downtown. This house has a special place in my heart because my bachelorette party was here and I stayed here on my wedding weekend!
The area is known for its eclectic patio bars, authentic taco stands, music, food and abundance of bicycles, East Austin is a hip hodgepodge of culture. This vibrant community is home to many types of people from artists and musicians to business owners.
We do not allow parties at our home. There will also be a 3% handling fee charged to all bookings. If you book, prior to getting quoted there will be a 3% charge.
This house was originally built in 1910, and was the home to the First African American Lawyer in Austin! It is located across from the French Legation Museum, which is where the French settled when arriving in Austin. The view from the second floor is to die for! You can see the whole Austin skyline night or day! The walk to downtown is just minutes away, or head over to East 6th Street and enjoy the eclectic bars and food trailers!

We had 12 people in our group and the house was very accommodating. Great location with a few bars, places to eat and a nice grocery store a very short walk away. Everything else is not far either. The property mangers were great. I had a question shortly after arriving and I got an quick and helpful answer. Highly recommend staying here for any size group.
Overall a great a rental property, very conveniently located to Downtown Austin. For many in the trip it was our first time to Austin, but certainly won't be our last after the fun we had!

We booked this property for a bachelor party and had a great time. The property is spacious and easily accommodated our group of 14. The location can't be beat. Amber (property manager) was a great resource and very helpful during our stay.
