We sold this house last year to some great people. They don't plan on living here full-time for a few years so they wanted us to make it available to the public to use. It is a great place and you will love the location and the utility of this home.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
Our company specializes in selling lake property but we also manage lake houses for people. Some clients that we sell to like the idea of making some income on their investment when it is not in use. This service is great for the home owners but is equally great for the person that doesn't own a lake house or is in the market and want to "try out" the lake.
This house is very open and perfect for the family or group. The main room, living room, kitchen, bar, and dining room is all one space. There is room for everyone in this house and the outside space including the 1200 sq foot covered porches are great for taking in the view and fresh air. We have a portable dock that can be launched into the lake. The neighborhood is quiet and there is some great hiking trails around the waterfront.
I stayed at this home 3/16-3/19 and was very disappointed, when we got there the house had not been cleaned up very well. There was towels draped every where, looks like they had been placed there to dry, pollen was caked on the back porch, tree limbs down all over the yard, and the bathroom near the game room was not function able and some one had left proof in there. The water pressure was aweful I was taking a shower and my kids went to brush their teeth, while they where brusing their teeth I was unable to finish washing my hair until they where done. The house was big enough and did sleep everyone comfortably but I would not rent it again due to the place not being properly cleaned before we got there. I am sure the house was cleaner when we left.
Loved this place! It's the 3rd house we've stayed at Rayburn and the best of the 3. We stayed last year, 2014, around the July 4 and loved the house. We are actually scheduled to leave tomorrow, 7-26-15, to go up there and stay for a week for the 2nd time...can't wait!!! It's a very open floor plan with a big kitchen and beautiful lake view. It's clean, A/C is cold and it's just a great place to get away from the city and out in the deep east texas piney woods.
Well, at first sight it wasn't quite what we expected from the pictures which made me a little sick. But once you walk inside and give it a chance to settle in on you, its a great place for a family get together. Plenty of room, nice and clean. The lake access isnt bad if you have a boat but dont expect somewhere to swim. Its also very close to the highway which also isnt mentioned - to the point you can see/hear the cars go by through the trees. The neighborhood isnt the nicest either. Its still a nice place, just maybe a little overpriced when you consider the entire package. The neighbors have no problem driving through the yard or parking their boats in your way so you have to get your feet wet leaving your boat to go up to the house - which isnt the renter's fault, but still it happens.
3 retired couples spent a fantastic week at this beautiful home on Sam Rayburn Lake. The house is so open and what you see from the pictures is exactly how the home is. So relaxing and so easy to tie boat and seadoo to tree for the day as the house backs up to lake. The house is furnished to make everyone feel right at home and privacy for all. Quiet and relaxing sitting on the large back porch. Only problem, it's not ours.
Took my family here Labor Day Weekend '10. House was spacious enough to give us plenty of room, but we spent most of our time on the wonderful back porch! The house is clean and well maintained with all necessary amenities to make our stay great. Large yard for the kids to play and close enough to the water for all of us to enjoy. Already planning our next family gathering. Thanks for opening your home to us....
