Our summer home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming here the last few years and we love every minute of being here. We love the cabin...the lake...the surroundings..the peace and quiet and the disconnection from the real world. There is nothing negative I can say. The rustic and quaint atmosphere is what we dream about every summer. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Clean, very secluded

  • 4 of 5

If your looking for privacy and seclusion then look no further! Nice little cabin in the woods with hiking trails and your own private pond/lake. Wasn't expecting as much as we got for the price we paid. Will definitely return soon.

Not bad, but prefer more privacy and comfortable furniture.

  • 3 of 5

The trails through the meadow and forest were delightful. We walked to the creek and identified a variety of plants and birds, including Yellow Lady Slipper Orchids and a variety of ferns. Unfortunately the sounds of quads, dogs barking, and other people were plentiful. This cabin and grounds are much quieter than any city (where we use to live), but not quieter than our current country home.

People in and around the cabin and furniture (beds & sofas) that outlived its usefulness were disappointing. The kitchen and bathroom worked well. The porch was pleasant enough. The size of the cabin was comfortable. The open sky and minimal lights were good for star gazing.

My husband greatly enjoyed reading the guest log, especially the entry about the cabins history.

I have rented other cabins for a similar rental fees in rural areas. They were much more comfortable and updated, but dogs weren't allowed. Maybe that's the difference. Having our dog made the weekend more relaxing because we weren't worried about her.

The people who stopped by to work in the meadow and the teens who asked if we would mind them passing through the trails, were very pleasant and friendly...just like home.

If you are seeking a get-a-way from a busy suburb, city or town and don't mind trucks and quads coming down the trails as you're sunbathing and practicing yoga, then this will work well for you. I'm going to seek a more secluded location with a comfortable bed or stay home.

Great Place for a Relaxing Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly as advertised - rustic but comfortable and clean. We had an amazing time relaxing by the fire, fishing in the lake, and enjoying the serenity of nature all around us. We also ventured to Watkins Glen for the day - under an hour drive. A perfect weekend getaway for anyone looking to relax and recharge.

Beautiful Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was everything we could hope for in a weekend escape. The cabin sits back far from the road up a long gravel driveway that ends at the cabin sitting on a large amount of property. The privacy was fantastic, there were no nearby neighbors and there was a lot of land to let the dog run around on the property.

The cabin has everything you need and is well kept and maintained. The full kitchen bar was a fantastic place to spend the morning making breakfast before heading outside to enjoy the lake. The lake is down a short path from the cabin and is great for relaxing and fishing.

We will definitely be returning to this cabin again!

We were looking for a place that would offer peace and quiet. This was it. The cabin was very clean and included everything needed for a quite enjoyable stay. Dianna was wonderful to work with! We will definitely let people know of this little gem!
