About the property

Rustic single log cabin in the woods by five acre lake with no sharing.

Close to city but very quiet and exclusive. Excellent fishing for Bluegills, Catfish, Bass etc. Use our small rowboat and oars (Life preservers required - bring your own).

Plenty of room to roam the woods, sit back and relax.

Camp fires are permitted. We will furnish fire wood for a fee.

If you get board with resting and relaxing you can take a trip to Wellsboro, Pa to see the Grand Canyon, or head to Corning, NY to see the glass museum, Rockwell Western Museum, or to Elmira for the soaring museum and glider rides. Waverly, NY has an Indian artifact museum that is very interesting.

The cabin has an open floor plan with 1 queen bed, 1 single bed, 2 sofas and 2 futons. The loft has a double bed.

The bathroom has a shower and flush toilet.

It is very nice to have the non vented gas fireplace for heat.

We do have a charcoal grill plus a gas grill.

Our wildlife includes deer, bear, turkey, coyotes, bobcats, squirrels, rabbits, turtles and geese.

Something out of an old western!!!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin and location was great, everything from hiking the trails, fishing and just hanging out on the porch or around the fire pit! No TV or CELL PHONE, perfect!!! Bring CD player, movies and plenty of water. Water is really bad!!!!!!!! Good place to eat Anthony's and have a drink about 25 minutes away in Troy. Dianna Thank You for sharing! Barry & Terry our puppies Panda & Maggie, our pups loved it! Williamstown NJ

Peaceful!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the cabin! The fishing was amazing, we caught some of our biggest fish right off the dock! I love how quiet it was and all the wild flowers growing in the field are beautiful. The only thing that was an issue was the bed is very uncomfortable and does need to be replaced. Other than that we had a great time and look forward to coming back again someday!!

Relaxing & Quiet

  • 4 of 5

This was our 2nd visit to this property. We enjoyed fishing on the private lake and campfire cooking. Close enough to civilization if needed, but far enough away you can enjoy the peace of nature.

Our summer home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming here the last few years and we love every minute of being here. We love the cabin...the lake...the surroundings..the peace and quiet and the disconnection from the real world. There is nothing negative I can say. The rustic and quaint atmosphere is what we dream about every summer. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.
