The largest of the safari rooms is 35 sq.m in size, plus a 10-sq.m veranda. They are fitted with large, modern bathrooms that include two washbasins, large showers, and, of course, hot water and flushing toilets.
The large, welcoming, and specially furnished lounge tents are furnished for a maximum of 3 people per safari room.
They contain either a double bed and single bed, or 3 single beds.
High-quality furnishings are a given with us. Our mattresses and bed linen, as well as hand, face, and bath towels are made out of only the best materials.
Every safari room is also furnished with its own wardrobe, a sofa bed, a desk with a safari chair, a coffee table with two safari chairs, a standing lamp, a bedside table with a lamp, an electric safe, mosquito nets and curtains on the windows, as well as paintings and a variety of African décor.
Of course, the entire property has electricity and every room has 8 power outlets plus two additional outlets in the bathroom.
There is a coffee table in the outdoor terrace with 2 safari chairs and 2 recliners with a view of the garden on the former banana plantation.
Outdoors, on our private estate, there is a volleyball court in the garden and a fireplace for at least 10 people. This can, of course, be used by our guests by prior agreement.
Your stay in one of our specially built safari tents will seem like a true luxury safari, just as Karen Blixen and Denis Finch Hatten would have wanted.
We're looking forward to your visit and promise you now that you'll have a true African experience here and that you'll want to come back again.
Karibu ya Kenya - Welcome to Kenya
Yours, Bernd Trompell
My name is Bernd Trompell.
I have fulfilled my lifelong dream here in Kenya. We've also helped many kindred spirits fulfil theirs.
With 20 years as an architect here, and many happy new neighbours in Diani Beach, I ran one of the most trusted building companies in Kenya.
It's not just the business side of things, a neighbourly touch is very important to us, where people help each other out. Many of our new neighbours have become close friends of ours over time.
Of course, we only work with select suppliers and experienced craftspeople, who live up to our high quality standards.
I'm located on-site and happy to help you with advice and assistance if you have similar ambitions.
With a proper explorer's nature, I've "discovered" Zanzibar, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, among others, on my many trips. All in all, I've spent 24 years falling in love with the African continent.
This "cradle of humanity", the fascinating landscapes, men and beasts between the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic, its mountains and lakes, virgin forests and savannah still have me captivated. In Kenya, I suddenly found my place on Diani Beach, which offers unparalleled comfort and quality of life, removed from the wild and untamed side of Africa. It makes a lengthy, or even permanent, stay possible for discerning individuals who prefer European standards of life.
In addition to the quality buildings, our lengthy experience dealing with the Kenyan authorities will prove very valuable for you. So don't hesitate to come to us with your problems, questions, or doubts. You can be sure, that we'll treat you with competence and reliability. We hope you have plenty of fun and enjoyment during your stay with us. Yours, Bernd Trompell
Bernd Trompell purchased this chalet in 2015
Why this property?
1.) Because of the location! It's perfect for holidaymakers and businesspeople. You'll live "in nature, with nature" yet you won't be more than a few minutes from the airport, the city centre, or the expressway to one of your excursions or safaris.
2.) Because of the furnishings! You'll live in a safari tent bedroom in a natural setting, yet you'll be provided with every luxury.
3.) Because of the small, family charm of the place.
4.) Just look at the pictures, then you'll know why you should choose this property.
Karibu - Welcome to Kenya

We bought this property in this exact location because I was so astonished at that time by the natural setting of Karen and by the rural area at an elevation of over 1,500 metres - and I still am to this day. I love the natural African landscape and I've found that among the Kenyan vegetation, I simply feel right. The days are warm and the nights are cool, allowing you to sleep with ease, and then to wake up in the morning to a symphony of birdsong. I have built our family's farmhouse there and now on the same property, I've set up our luxury tent camp so that you can spend you holiday "in nature, with nature".
Kwaheri ya Kenya - See you soon in Kenya!
Yours, Bernd Trompell

Jambo and Guten Tag to our dear holidaymakers and business travellers!
Our luxury safari tents are located right outside of Nairobi, in the Karen neighbourhood. They are located near the famous Karen Blixen Coffee Farm and just a few minutes' drive from the city centre with its impressive skyline. Yet even so, the location is completely natural and rural. We're true to our motto, "In nature - With nature".
You'll be just a few minutes' drive from the Giraffe Centre with us, not to mention Nairobi National Park, the Karen Blixen Museum, the city centre, various other museums, numerous shopping malls, Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Wilson Airport, and much more.
We're also not far from the Bypass (an expressway that goes around Nairobi). You can reach plenty of destinations quickly and easily from here: Naivasha, Nakuru, Aberdares, Mount Kenya, Masai Mara, and much more.
Wilson Airport is also right nearby. You can catch a flight there to various tourist destinations in Kenya and East Africa: go right to Diani Beach with its gorgeous seaside, the wild animal paradise of Masai Mara, the historical centre of Mombasa, Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, Lamu Island, Eldored, Mount Kenya National Park, Arberdares Mountains, Tsavo National Park, Amboseli National Park, the Laikipia highlands, and much, much more.
We'd be happy to help you organize a variety of safaris and trips.
We ourselves have a holiday villa in Diani Beach and a holiday home in Ol Pejeta (Conservancy) Wildlife Estate - meaning we can easily offer you a combination of city, beach, and safari.
We are looking forward to your visit!
Yours, Bernd Trompell
