About Roy and Debbie Perron
I have fond memories growing up in Maine where we had a cottage on a lake. We had a lot of family holidays at that cottage. And then my family moved to Florida. My girlfriend's family had a cabin in Highlands, NC, so when my husband and I needed a vacation, that's where we rented, and after that we were both hooked on North Carolina. After going a few more times, we started looking for our own cabin. My husband was in the construction business and can fix just about anything. I went to Florida State University and majored in Housing & Interior Design, so we make a good team when it comes to providing a well-maintained and decorated cabin.
Roy and Debbie Perron purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Roy and Debbie Perron chose Robbinsville
We bought our second cabin that was originally called 'The Chalet' from an auction ad that my husband saw in our local newspaper. After purchasing it, we have vacationed there for over 18 years to get out of the Florida heat. We loved the beautiful weather and mountain views so much that when the Mountain Retreat became available we decided to purchase it for additional family gatherings. And then a few years later, the Ridge Haven became available. Everybody we knew or worked with wanted to rent the cabins, so that's how we got started. We love this County with it's country roads and laid back feeling. It is so peaceful and quiet here. Maybe an owl at night and sighting of hummingbirds during the day. It's a great place to live or visit.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our private road and the hiking trail is a great place to walk our dogs, oh and the cats, too. The weather is just like being in air-conditioning in the summer and it's so brisk in the Spring and Fall. The foliage is beautiful any time of the year, even after the leaves have fallen. And the locals are so friendly, always waving as they pass by. There are so many nearby outdoor activities, weekly social benefits, arts and craft events, mountain music & heritage festivals and three pristine lakes (Fontana, Santeetlah & Cheoah) for all types of water adventures and fishing. The cabin is a great place to come back to after a fun day riding the roads or hiking the trails or just hang out here all day and do nothing.

Very nice clean property in just the right location for our trip. Every need was in place and in working order.
Beautiful respite in the mountains
We greatly enjoyed our time at the cabin. This is a great getaway for folks looking for a quiet retreat. Roy and Debbie were gracious hosts.
Very nice cabin in a secluded area.
The cabin was very clean and included everything you could need. The furniture was all in good shape and comfortable. The owners, Roy and Debbie stopped by and introduced themselves and offered any help we needed including getting our motorcycle off the trailer. Everything is well setup, so we were in need of nothing during our stay. The location is remote, which makes it quiet and peaceful, but also means you have a bit of a drive to get anywhere. As is mentioned, the driveway is steep and somewhat intimidating the first trip up and down, but I quickly adapted and had no issues with the truck and trailer or the motorcycle, If we go to this area again, my wife and I would definitely consider staying here again.
Thank you for choosing our cabin, the Ridge Haven at Yellow Creek and Graham County for your vacation. We enjoyed having you as our guest and appreciate the nice review. Thanks again, Debbie & Roy
A Woodland Retreat
This is a lovely, fairly secluded cabin, perfect for days of tranquility. Well-supplied with kitchen dishes/pans, so it's easy to cook. And there's a washer/dryer, if you've been on the road for days. We loved sitting on the deck in the early morning, watching butterflies and enjoying a magnificent view of the mountains. The owners are very gracious. And our dog was welcomed!
After an eight hour drive there was no disappointment! Perfect size cabin and some. Well maintained and well supplied. Wouldn't ask for a better getaway.
