|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
This cabin sits on close to a full city block on the very edge of town with a forested back border and lots of beautiful pines on property. Large lawn area and fire pit for outdoor activities and entertaining.
Great natural flagstone flooring in great room, new oak and tile flooring in kitchen and bath. Beautiful tongue and groove work in both these rooms also. Cabin was built with huge hand hewn cedar logs in the late 30's or early 40's. This is a one of a kind cabin built in 'old Montana' traditional style. New sectional furniture with double recliners, appliances, beds and oak dining set for your comfort. Huge moose mount, bear skin rug and other assorted hides and horns for that mountain cabin feel. New lower deck and spa coming soon. This cabin was just newly remodeled for your vacation experience.
Keywords: Beautiful old rustic log cabin.
The cabin was beyond what I excepted. The cabin itself is lovely and the furniture and equipements make it even better. I wish I could have stayed more.
My wife and I could hardly believe the lodging find we had contracted for 2 weeks. Before I expand on the statement, I must say how easy and helpful Greg was before and during the stay. The cabin is centrally located for easy access to the park; tops 10 min. to the West Glacier. We didn't eat out much because the kitchen is better stocked than my own (and it's not shabby) but if you do then try Greg's bar and grill, Packer's Roost; great hamburgers and fries!
The cabin is comfortable, clean, and fully furnished: electronics, TV, cable, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, and Greg installed an air conditioner!! Plenty of linens and towels; all equipment is state of the art. The "neighborhood" keeps being brought up. Nothing wrong with neighbors; only saw one or two in 2 weeks and never heard a peep from the bar & grill on the main drag. Remember you are in Montana, not Manhattan where the deer, antelope, and bears roam, not gangbangers and everyone carries a weapon of some sort, even me.
Would love to make it back in winter just to see what 8' of snow is all about!!
This cabin was a great place to stay! Everything you need is provided for you. The location is perfect. 25 min to Kalispell airport , 12 min to Glacier National Park, Hungry Horse Dam is close by. You gotta try the Huckleberry Pie! Loved the cabin!
We had the place for 4 nights. The place was beyond our expectation. The place was very well maintained. The kitchen has good quality appliances. Greg had everything you need for your stay. He really attains to the details. He is responsive and eager to meet your need. Our son enjoyed the rustic decorations and loved feeding the fish. If I ever get a chance to revisit the area, I would love to stay there.
My wife and I had originally booked the cabin from Greg for 5 days. Our goal was to spend some quality time in the mountains. We had an emergency back at home and had to change our plans at the last minute. Greg was great about the whole thing and easy to work with.
We found the cabin to be clean, neat and pretty much exactly as described. Just a warning, the stair case is not for the faint of heart. It is strong and steady, just takes getting used to and might be difficult for elderly guests.
Previous reviews indicate the neighborhood looks questionable. Yes it does. You have to remember your are in Montana, not New York city. The neighbors are quiet an actually quite nice.
Overall the surrounding area is very nice and it only takes about 8 minutes to get to the entrance of the park. Don't forget the Huckleberry pancakes!
We look forward to returning when we can spend more time.
Very nice vacation rental. Very clean, nice linens, plenty of towels and everything provided in the kitchen. The location to Glacier National Park is excellent (about 15 minutes). Owner was very accomodating and helpful. The only negative was the trailers located around the cabin. There were no problems with the neighbors but it is just not attractive. Grocery located close by was another plus.
Waterslides, maze, bumper boats, go-cart track, mini golf, 18 hole golf course, Glacier Park helicopter tours, bear park, museums, whitewater rafting, 50 mile long reservoir and dam as well as lakes all over the area for your boating, fishing, skiing and sightseeing pleasure, as well as Glacier National Park within ten minutes of your front door with miles of hiking trails and some of the most gorgeous scenery to be found.
