Kenny's place was exactly as it is in the pictures. The house was equiped with all the necessities required for a well rounded home away from home experience. The neighborhood was safe and parking was not an issue. Kenny was a gracious host, he offered to give me a tour of the neighborhood aquainting me with the local destinations that will add further benefit to our time in Brooklyn. I would definitly stay here again.

The property is well kept, clean and well maintained. The owner is very responsive to questions and available for you during your stay.

It is SO convenient to the "A" train into Manhattan. We are a family of 6 and there was ample room in the home. It is also just a short walk to a corner store with a deli. We were able to save so much money by buying food and eating breakfast at home every morning. I highly suggest staying here and when we come back to NYC, we will stay here again!!

Enjoyable stay

The townhouse is comfortable and spacious and easily accomodated our family of seven. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. There is a subway station 5 min. walk from the townhouse and it takes approx. 20 min to reach Manhattan.

Great Place, Great Price, Great Location - Great Trip!

We had a wonderful time in New York and Kenneth's place was the start of it. There was seven of us, and we were happy to see the place was CLEAN, spacious and conveniently located to everything we needed...restaurants, grocery stores, and the subway. The kitchen was well stocked (dishes etc.), two clean bathrooms with plenty of towels provided, and three spacious bedrooms with four beds as described, which were very comfortable. In some previous reviews it was mentioned that the toilet seat was broken, but that was fixed, so no problem there. The only real problem we had with the house was with the cable in two of the bedrooms. We called Kenneth, and he came right up to take care of it...he was helpful before and during our stay. There was a TV in all of the bedrooms and also downstairs in the living room, and the WiFi worked fine. All and all it was a great house. The neighborhood was not upscale but safe and located just a 5- to 10-minute walk to and from the subway. We were walking from the subway as late as 12:00 and 1:00 problems. It's normally hard to please everyone, but everyone in our group was impressed with the place, would recommend it to friends or you, and we'd also use it again if available on our next vacation.

Felt like our 2nd home

Cons: *No communication with owner during the stay. I admit I didn't call, all communication was via email, but I never received a response for inquiries before and during our stay.

*Prior to the trip, after paying, I asked the owner if he had any baby items (baby gates, play pen). He responded that he did have one gate & a play pen & would leave it at the rental for us. When we arrived, it wasn't there. There are places that rent these items, but because I waited until the last minute, I was unable to rent the items. I have a pair of toddlers, who learned how to walk up/down the stairs, but it was still a safety hazard nonetheless. The one baby gate would've made a world of a difference.

*Broken toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom. Had some pinching on the tush during the stay.

*Tenants on the first floor remove their shoes before entry into their unit, which is fine, but they didn't have the courtesy to remove their shoes from the main entry door.

*There was also a small ant problem in the living room by the window on the far right. As well as in the kitchen by the small step into the dining room.

*Wifi Password provided didn't work, so we had to use our own hot spot.

*We had to clean the vents for the A/C to flow properly in the rooms/thru the apt.

Pros: *We borrowed an SUV from a friend, and didn't have a problem with parking in the area. This was a pleasant surprise.

*Neighbors are nice and speak to you and smile. Felt safe sitting on the brownstone steps.

*The property was just the right size for us, 4 adults & 3 children under 18. Plenty of room to move around. 2 full bathrooms are magnificent! The unit was in pristine condition. Water pressure was amazing. No backyard space as it is being renovated, but no construction during our stay. Safety bars on the windows.

*Plenty of dishes to accommodate everything (bring/buy your own Tupperware though) for our 5 night stay. Fridge & stove were clean and we made great use with it!

I'm not sure how may guests visit with children, but it may help to have outlet covers available, or suggest guests bring their own, to allow it to be more kid friendly and have a baby gate available, or suggest renting one. There is a grocery store and Dollar Tree on the next block, we suggest you visit them to purchase toiletries if you didn't bring any, and cleaning supplies.

At any rate, it was still amazing and convenient and we will reach out next time we visit, as this owner has more than one property!

The apartment unit is spacious, but the location is poor - no closed-by retails or restaurants.

The property is spacious, with good offer of sleeping beds and living area. Here are the weaknesses:

(1) not a good location - without retails, markets, or restaurants - that it can only serve as staying overnight but hardly for family gathering.

(2) hard to contact the owner/manager - not responsive despite numerous emails sent and the phone provided was not reachable (voice-mails full, etc,)

(3) no bath soup, shampoo or conditioner that we had rushed to look for places to purchase the items at our first night.

(4) not supplied with wifi password - no wifi for our entire stay - that we could only use our own hotspot.

(5) one of the only two toilet seats was broken - that we just gave up to contact the owner but cautiously used the broken one.

Also, for the privacy and security of our guests, we do not disclose the physical address of the location until you have booked the apartment. Brooklyn is very large borough and it is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that this area is right for them and their needs before booking. If you are unfamiliar with the location, the nearest cross-streets are Bainbridge Street and Lewis Avenue. The apartment is 1 and 1/2 blocks away from the A express and C local subway lines at Utica Avenue, and 15 minutes from Manhattan.
