About Terri

Our family has been here since 1961 and we love the area.

Terri purchased this mobile home in 1989

Why Terri chose Table Rock Lake

The quiet serenity along with the waterfront location is ideal. Short (less than 5 minutes) walk to the shore and the clean, clear water of Table Rock Lake!

It is only 3-4 hrs away from large metro areas of Kansas City and St Louis.

What makes this mobile home unique

Swimming, boating, fishing, campfires, stargazing, yard games, entertaining friends at the lake. We also like to go to Silver Dollar City, White Water in Branson, Black Oak Ampitheatre in Lampe, Shows and Concerts in Branson area as well as the attractions, sports venues, restaurants, shopping, etc for kids and adults that are in Branson, Branson West and Kimberling City, MO.

Nice, quiet, get-away

  • 4 of 5

The pictures were representative of the property. Spent 3 nights and had no problems. Good view of the lake and the walk to the lake is not far. I read all of the other reviews and found most were accurate. The long, negative review was NOT representative of the property. Yes, it was a mobile home. That was not a secret. It had 3 bedrooms and 1 bath that was sufficient. It was clean and all you really need is food and clothes. If you're looking for fancy or in the "thick of it all" then this is not the place for you, if you want peace, quiet, and seclusion with lake view, trees and outdoors then this is a good place for that. The only negative thing I would say is that when I first arrived the house smelled musty/moldy but once the air conditioner cooled it down more and I lit the scented candle in the living room the smell dissipated. Terri was quick to respond to my booking request, emails, and texts. She texted to make sure I had arrived safely. Overall I had a pleasant stay and would stay here again

Great Lake Experience!

  • 4 of 5

I very rarely write reviews, but I felt I should because previous reviews made it difficult for us to decide to stay here. Stephanie B's review almost ruined our vacation before it started! I will agree wholeheartedly with the two reviews posted before mine. This house is a single-wide mobile home. If any of you are old enough to remember the days when buying a "second home" meant a mobile home in a retirement trailer park, you know exactly what type of property this is (although the neighborhood is not a park but a lovely set of homes). Staying at this location reminded me of my visits with my grandparents. I will admit that the house needs a little TLC. The blinds in the master bedroom no longer work, so all the lovely views pictured from that room were not available to us. The linoleum is coming undone in the bathroom. These are all fixable issues, and Terri is sure to take care of them. It also took us about a day to get used to the tight spaces (I had to climb into the closet to open the trundles and make those beds), but once we did, we were very happy. What makes this place special is its location. The views you see in the picture are exactly what you will get. What is even more lovely is the absolute quiet at this part of the lake. You will see (and hear) an occasional boat - or a neighbor or two at the private boat dock - but for the most part, the peace is luxurious. Before we arrived, we bought some loungers, river tubes, and an inflatable two-man boat. We took them all down to the shore and spent the entire week floating in the water. My children are also all competitive swimmers, and boy did we get in a lot of open water swimming! The shore is rocky but easy to launch rafts and tubes from - or walk out into the water. My husband and some of my children fished - small bluegills and crappies. There are also small freshwater clam shells in the shallow edges of the water that are really fun to hunt for. The drive to Branson was far - about 40 minutes - so if you know you plan to spend lots of time there, this might not be the place for you. If you do head into Branson, come home via Kimberling City. That bridge boasts beautiful sunsets! Also grab lunch at Corner Drive-In right in Lampe - great take-out and veteran-owned! Just as a final note of interest - Terri has a great collection of VHS tapes. Share a bit of nostalgia with your children and show them "how we watched things when we were their age"! Jaws was a hit!

Beautiful view

  • 4 of 5

Be sure and read all of the details and look at the photos before you rent this place so you know exactly what you are renting. My family stayed here five nights with little or no problem. However, if you are looking for a five star condo/hotel, this is not your place. It reminded me of my grandparents house growing up. Everything in the decor of the mobile home is original (with upgraded amenities like wi-fi and satellite) and the view from the back deck is beautiful. It is a short hike down to the lake, but the trip is not for the faint of heart (it is a pretty steep incline to get back up the hill). My son and niece fished every day down at the lake and had a blast. It will take you about 30 minutes to get into Branson from here, but it is a nice drive and there are other stores, gas stations, etc. within a few minutes of the rental. All in all, we had a great time during our stay.

Very pleasant and comfortable stay - could use a little TLC

  • 4 of 5

So we just finished our 1 week stay at Terri's home (7/31/16) and were very happy with everything - although some inexpensive TLC could certainly up the "curb appeal" of the home

The review from Stephanie really is not fair or balanced and so here are the Pros and Cons of the property

The Pros

Great, large rear covered deck with sensational, close views of lake

2 minutes easy walk to secluded shoreline where you can picnic and swim - water was very warm!

Fantastic newer Trane AC system which kept the whole house very cool - so many registers throughout blowing so much cool air!

The home - sure it is a Mobile home -- so what? - is very comfortable, is equipped with everything you could realistically want or need - microwave, range, fridge, pots/pans etc - Terri even provides shampoo and some toiletries

TVs throughout the home, although only LR has Dish

Great cleaner - Trish is so nice and does a terrific job cleaning before you arrive

Terri - a real pleasure to work with and incredibly responsive - we were getting replies from Terri and Trish usually within a couple of minutes of our texts

5 minute drive to Lampe where there is an excellent home cooking restaurant - The Filling Station, gas, ice, drive through

10 minute drive to Kimberling - where there is an excellent Hen House-type supermarket, a terrifica marina where you can rent all types of water craft

The Cons

WiFi - although strong signal from T-Mobile - the service has data throttling - so after you use 1GB of 4G data, you are throttled back to 3G - which is adequate for email, basic surfing but otherwise useless

The TLC aspect - well, it really would be a good idea if Terri could invest a few hundred dollars to repair/replace some items - like the roller blinds in the bedroom are torn in some cases and are held in place with tape as they no longer roll up

But the main takeaway is this - you have a gorgeous location, a manageable and comfortable accommodation, great people to work with - and if Branson is your cup of tea - then you have a perfectly acceptable drive into Branson for the shows and other attractions

Highly misrepresented

  • 1 of 5

Lets start at the beginning. When we first arrived, key was not hidden where we were told. It had fell through a hole and underneath a creepy porch my nephew had to squeeze under to get after a half hour wait outside before it was found with no help from owner. Yard was very unkept, (very overgrown grass, trash in yard, branches from trees everywhere) Deck has nails sticking up all over it (not safe for my kids). Railing on deck is literally taped up to side of deck (again not safe) Does have a beautiful view of lake from deck, not from bedrooms since you cant open windows because shades are taped to wall. Kids beds are not comfortable, daughter ended up on couch bc she couldnt sleep. It represents having sattelite.. this is only in livingroom, one of kids rooms doesnt even have a tv, master bedroom tv doesnt work. Fridge was dirty. Was a curtain on floor that had fallen when we came in. Vrbo says it is 8.16 miles from silver dollar city.. it is not.. quite a ways further. Walk down to lake is not easy. Not a good swimming or fishing spot. Skunk friend living under trailer.. thats fun. Shower has bad drainage problems. Contacted owner about misrepresentation and tried to get a refund on rest of the days we had paid for, no refunds so we are stuck unless i want to pay hundreds more for another place and just donate money to them in hopes they will fix the place up with it (which is a serious debate) owner offer to send cleaning lady out to fix problems after 9pm at night when my kids are already in bed and driving nails back into deck would definatly disturb them. She also stated she could come early in the morning but we decided just to suck it up and make best of bad situation and spend the least amount of time here possible anyway. Very displeased with our stay so far and we are only 2nd day in. Not even close to be worth the amount of money we spent to rent this place. We will see what the next 3 days bring.

The home was clean and ready for our arrival. The owner is a kind accommodating lady, answering the questions that we had promptly. The only slight problem is the rooms are to small for the trundle bed to pull out all the way. The location is beautiful and It is so quiet and peaceful exactly what were were desiring. Husband and grandson fished everyday from the shore (didn't catch anything large enough to keep next time we are bringing our boat) while our granddaughter hunted and collect shells. We were all sad to have to come home even our grandkids. We drove down to Buffalo National River hiked and climbed Lost Valley Trail. Just outside of Ponca AR. The drive alone is worth doing. Beautiful.

Table Rock Lake in Missouri

Great For: Outdoor adventure

What's Relaxing: Campfire-time after active play

Tucked away from Branson, MO's bustling music scene, Table Rock Lake is a hidden treasure that snakes and twists through the Ozark Mountains like a Chinese dragon. While the lake is technically a reservoir (made by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers), it delivers big in the nature and outdoors departments. It is in the heart of Mark Twain National Forest.

Things to Do: Table Rock Lake has all the components of a classic summer lake vacation. Plunge into the waters for a swim or glide along them in kayaks. Or, spend the most active part of the day boating, zip-lining, ATV riding, and biking before chilling out at night by gazing at gorgeous sunsets or into the mesmerizing flames of a campfire.
