5 STAR REVIEWS!
'We stayed at Elaine's beautiful home for three weeks in August with our three small girls. We have rented beautiful homes in Stowe each summer for six years, usually trying new places each year. This summer we found a place that had it all. The home itself is gorgeous - spacious, perfect views, well decorated and very well laid out for a group. Its location is quite special. Our days and nights were filled with fun and no hassle. You can swim, golf, drop the kids at camp (excellent and safe), use the gym or spa, enjoy the mountain rides and dine within five minutes of deciding to do so. You have all the benefits of staying at a resort, but the privacy of your own luxury home. While we're a large family with small kids, this place would work wonderfully for families with older kids as well. Prior to this year, I had always rented through a service, so this was our first experience renting in this manner. As other reviewers have noted, Elaine is a perfect host. I've been constantly improving upon this summer vacation for six years. The only improvement I could make next year is to simply stay at Elaine's place longer.'

FIVE STARS FOR LARGE, UPSCALE SKI RESORT RENTAL IN AAA LOCATION AT STOWE!
'We five girlfriends stayed here for a weekend in August. It was perfect. We all had our own bathrooms and, apart from two sisters who shared a room, our own bedrooms. As advertised, it was VERY spacious, perfectly clean, well maintained, and stylish. Everything about it was upscale and oversized, which worked very well in the ski lodge surroundings. We walked to dinner at the main Stowe lodge one night, walked to the dinner at the golf club restaurant another, and drove a very short distance to town on the third night. The view from the main room is spectacular. I can imagine how much fun it would be to watch the skiers in the winter months. Our rental agent was extremely professional and made the entire booking experience a snap.'
PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS GORGEOUS HOME JUSTICE!
'We stayed here the third week of September. Elaine could not have been more helpful or nice! She was only a phone call or email away.
Our whole family was able to come and enjoy the beautiful house, scenery of the nearby mountains, golf course, town, pond, etc.
The house was extremely clean. More clean than most hotels. It is also really helpful to have laundry machines in the house too while you are there. The bathtubs-oh beautiful! It is very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, everything you need.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub too while seeing the moon and stars.
Everyone did NOT want to leave and remarked that this was the best vacation ever. The big dining room table led to lots of card and other games, and lots of good times and togetherness.
Thank you Elaine, we are ever so grateful and will always cherish the great memories we made while at your place!!'

'This home is so beautiful with everything you can imagine. The kitchen is unbelievably set up with top of the line appliances and accessories. Wonderful furnishings abound and the views cannot be any more enchanting. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely home.'
GREAT FAMILY GET-TOGETHER!
We had a superb family gathering for 1 week at Elaine's fabulous home. It is well maintained, well equipped and ideal for our gathering. She was welcoming and helped us with lots of information to benefit from all the facilities. The group was 6 adults and 4 children, a gathering of 3 generations under one roof. Everything worked perfectly and we could not be happier. I highly recommend this place and we would love to do it again if available next year.

I am a playwright, who recently wrote and directed a musical about bullying. It is endorsed by politicians, Prevent Child Abuse Vermont, the national organization, Partnership with Children, and The National Foundation For Missing And Exploited Children. The show was a huge success at The Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center. The goal is to produce an animated film with celebrity voices, and also offer the musical play to schools and community theatres. A portion of all profits will be contributed to child abuse prevention and anti-bullying programs.
I ski, swim, kayak, golf, and skate when I am not sitting at my computer. I first came to Stowe in the mid 1980's and knew immediately that some day I would live here. After my first visit, I went to Motor Vehicles and changed my license plate to read '2 STOWE'. When I became a Vermont resident, I was lucky to trade in the CT plate for a VT plate that also said '2 STOWE'. Whether it is summer, fall, winter, or spring, it is always breathtaking, waking up to the magnificent mountains, always dressed for the season.

I have been coming to Stowe, Vermont for vacation since the mid 1980's. I owned another home here for ten years but when Spruce Peak began development with a hotel, live theatre, ski in/ski out, championship golf course, excellent restaurants and shops, and a private club for members, it was impossible to ignore.

We had a great stay during Labor Day weekend. The house is very spacious, nicely decorated and very well taken care of. Very well equipped gourmet style kitchen. Great location with a short walking distance to SML. One can walk the street or the back grassy slopes to get to the hotel. Gorgeous views of the mountain and slopes. Kids had a great time in the hot tub and loved the bunk beds. The fall is a great time to visit Stow. Beautiful weather and great restaurants. Thank you Elaine for making our stay very enjoyable. We will come back to visit again.
Elaine met us at her home to welcome us and give us a tour of her magnificent home. The home is beautiful and the views of the mountain were breathtaking. The home is well kept, with modern appliances and all the necessities for a great stay. The pool at the lodge was large with plenty of chairs. We can't wait to return next summer. Thanks Elaine for allowing us to have such a great family vacation .
My family and I spent a week in Elaine's property while we were vacationing in Stowe. We have rented numerous vacation properties over the years in the US and Europe and this one was at the very top of the stack! The overall house was large and well laid out: my teenage kids could spread out and still be away from the common areas. The kitchen and family room were large and well appointed, and the property was situated such that we had fantastic 270 degree views of the mountains. (Winter and Fall must be awesome!) We took advantage of the nearby gondola to take the easy way up to Mount Mansfield, and there were more hiking trails within two miles of the house than we could have managed in a month. There is really good downhill and cross-country mountain biking within an hour of Stowe, but biking in the local area was good, too, and offered more variety for well maintained trails and roads. Stowe Village was a few minutes away by car, but the break from that traffic turned out to be nice and all of the better family oriented and upper end restaurants were between Stowe resort and the village of Stowe anyway, so we thought the property was more convenient than when we were actually staying in Stowe. We ended up grilling and cooking at home most times anyway because the views were better and we couldn't get enough of being so closely connected to the great outdoors on the balcony at the foot of the mountains. Overall, our family consensus was that this was the best place we'd ever stayed and if we ever go back to Stowe, we wouldn't consider any other property!
My family had an amazing 4th of July weekend. Elaine met us at the house and gave us a tour of the beautiful home. She provided great literature about places to visits and things to do. My wife and I and son (15y) and daughter (12) found this a great get-away for the long weekend. We rode the Stowe bike trail, hiked the Nebraska notch, enjoyed the pool at the lodge, as well as our own private hot tub. The kitchen is 1st rate and we grilled on the porch also. A phenomenal summer spot. We hope to come back to ski or for a summer re-visit.
We gather once a year as a family at a new location and this one was a fabulous choice. Three couples all with private spaces and more - - hot tub, lots of decks with amazing views of Mt. Mansfield, a wonderfully equipped kitchen, and an owner who takes great pride in delivering her home in perfect condition with all the comforts of home. And the bonus is the proximity to the Stowe Mountain Resort and its great restaurants and spa. A perfect summer getaway. Don't wait - summer in Vermont at the top of the Mountain Road is magical.
What a wonderful place, a lovely home, full of everything one needs for a get-away. The Owner Elaine met us at the house and made sure that all of the details were just right. Do it and you will not regret it
