|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Spend the mornings sipping your coffee on one of the porch swings while watching the hummingbirds dance their fanciful dance. A small, spring-fed creek provides a restful babble as it flows beside the master bedroom and the porch. During the day, there are streams to fish and swim in, trails to hike and water falls to discover. At night, the stars are right there ready to be plucked from the sky, and the slot machines at the casino are ready to be played. No matter what the time of day, or what the weather, there is always something to do. Even if it is just sitting back on the porch again, watching the view change.
Maximum of 2, well behaved, dogs welcome. Pet fee of $100 will be refunded within 7 days when no damage is reported.
We are healthcare professionals who have spent our careers taking care of sick infants and children, in Florida. We have 3 children, and 6 grandchildren who have all shared the mountains with us. We are now empty-nesters, rounding into retirement, and trying to figure out what the next phase of our lives will be.
We started coming to the area 15 years ago, when the kids were small. We love playing on the raging rivers, most of all. Dean even became a rafting guide for NOC, 5 years ago. We live in Florida, but plan on spending our summers in the mountains as soon as we can. While we love Florida, nothing can beat a summer in the mountains.
For outdoor enthusiasts, this location cannot be beat. Whitewater, hiking, mountain biking, boating, waterfall seeking, ziplining, horseback riding are all nearby, in many forms. After days of adventure, or shopping for antiques, this house offers the best place for a quiet evening, watching the sunset with friends and family.
This house is in a good location. Very well maintained and clean. Good mountain views. Lots of room. Stocked with everything you could possibly need. the overseers of this property were very helpful. the only issue we had was an electrical problem in the kitchen. It took out the kitchen lights microwave and some outlets.we were supplied with a other microwave and we put a lamp in the kitchen,so it didn't bother us too much. You will love this place.
Fully stocked kitchen. Nice porch
Everything was exactly as described and we had everything that we needed. It was a perfect place for our family of 4 with beautiful views and short drives to the things we wanted to do. We would enjoy staying here again!
The home is very well maintained and very private. The porch is inviting and the sunsets are awesome! The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and utensils all organized and clearly labeled. The Wi-Fi connection is excellent! This is a nice getaway for up to 4 people! I highly recommend the home for anyone looking for a private retreat but with accessibility to what is available in the Smokey Mountains.
Nice little home, plenty of privacy. Any issues that we had owner's corrected. Would stay there again!
The Shepherds were wonderful to work with, very responsive. The cabin was just as described! The first place my kids went to was the small stream next to the house. Very peaceful and relaxing location. Everything you could need was provided. Cabin was also easy to find and nearby Bryson City and Smoky Mountain National Park were within short driving distances. While here, we drove into the national park and up to Clingman's Dome - great drive, saw lots of elk! We also did the Nantahalla Gorge train ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City. It was really fun and great value for the money. Finally we did the KidZip course through Wildwater at Nantahalla Gorge and my kids had a blast! They have asked every day since doing it if they can do it again. Great area to visit and perfect place to call your home away from home! Thanks again for sharing your cabin!

Tsali mountain biking; raft and kayak the Nantahala; tube Deep Creek; ride the Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City; hike in the Smokey Mountain National Park; win big at the Casino in Cheroke; water sports on Lake Fontana; antique in Franklin, Bryson City, Dillsboro; Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and have lunch at the Pisquah Inn; Visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, Gatlinburg, Pidgeon Forge, and Dollywood in TN; bike ride in Cades Cove looking for deer, turkey and bear; fly fish/fish the many streams in the area, especially in the Smokey Mountain National Park; and when you are tired and can go no more, there are all types of restaurants in nearby Bryson City.
