Our family has lovingly restored this HISTORIC 1939 FISHING CAMP located on beautiful Sarasota Bay. You'll be surrounded by water living on the narrowest point of Anna Maria Island. The BEACH IS LESS THAN 1 BLOCK AWAY!
Located at 115 South 7th Street, the cottages have a very private yard which extends out into the bay, giving expansive unobstructed views of the historic clock tower and pier, the sailboat harbor, draw bridge, and the skyline of Sarasota.
Our large private dock can easily accommodate your boat, and is great for fishing, swimming, or just watching the boats go by.
The gorgeous sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are just steps away!!!!

Owning these historic cottages is a family affair. My wife and I (and our sons), along with my parents, all living in Minnesota, have lovingly restored these cottages. It has taken many trips over the past few years to revitalize this wonderfully unique place, but the result has been stunning and rewarding.
So much, that we have recently completed another fantastic renovation on the same street, our wonderful 2 unit Old Florida 'Beach to Bay Cottage.'
Tim McGlennen purchased this cottage in 1999
This is a truly unique and special place. Originally built as a Fish Camp in the 1930's, these cottages are a reminder of the wonderful historic past of Anna Maria Island. These types of places just don't exist anymore.....phenomenal waterfront location, quaint cozy cottages with everything you need, & beautiful beach just a minute away. Our guests return time and time again.
We stayed until sunset on Friday and all the grandkids (6), plus 2 friends took one last dip in the four foot waves for a final splash in the Gulf before heading north to Michigan.
Bradenton Beach is beautiful! Cottage B was cute and clean, very nice. The shower is amazing, the bed is comfortable. We brought our boat & kept it at the dock, which was very convenient, but head straight across the little bay through the sailboats, and not along the shoreline or you may get stuck. The fishing was great! The beach is across the street & wasn't crowded. The water was amazing. The location is close to lots of attractions. The only downsides were the tiny family room with tiny TV - At the end of a day of boating & fishing, there's no real comfy area to hang out in, but we knew that going in. Also, there are dishes & cooking utensils, but we had to buy everything else, including salt & pepper and a sponge for washing up. The laundry room is shared between 3 cottages, which wasn't clear in the listing, so there was some waiting. Overall, we had a great time, and the price was right for a last minute getaway!
This place is what I personally call my little slice of Paradise. Woke up to beautiful sunrises every morning and a sunsets every evening, from just about anywhere. Access to everything you want.......my recommendation......Enjoy!
Returning in 2015 for our fifth stay at Bill's Fish Camp. Have made some good friends and we really enjoy the area. Relaxation is our # 1 priority and the cottage lends itself to that objective. The sunrises are as spectacular as the sunsets. Everything we need is close by.

Thank you Tim for this little "island-refuge"! We enjoyed our stay so much and came back to Germany as much relaxed as even possible! We will come back for sure!
We absolutely loved this house, area, location. 200 steps to the beach! Back yard has a open view of the Bay. There is a dock for fishing; which we caught spotted trout, catfish, grunts, etc. We watched the sting rays, dolphins, big snook swim by.... Very relaxing. Hammock in the back yard. A picnic table which we used to eat grilled meals. The shower downstairs was very nice after a day at the beach! I can't say enough about our stay and how much we loved it! The owner was amazing! Excellent communication and very nice. He even accommodated our travel dates. I recommend any/all of these rentals, not just because they are awesome but because of the owner as well. We will def be back! Thank you so much for everything!

We rented all three cottages(4 units). The cottages are perfect, very clean, very well maintained. I made contact with Tim(the owner) a number of times before renting with questions and he always responded quickly and was so very helpful. We had four Generations with us on holiday. Each and every one of us loved our week and did exactly what we wanted to do. We went swimming with the Sting Rays(not because we paid money to do it they just wanted to swim with us). We saw Dolphins, the kids flew thier kites at the beach, went fishing, shopping and rented a pontoon boat to do a little exploring. Not to mention St. Armands Circle is a must for shopping. Many resaurants to choose from. The neighbors are all very friendly. We would like to make this a annual event.
