My husband and I have lived in the resort for over 15 years and have been involved in the construction, sale and rentals of many villas including Punta Aguila 44. Having owned a restaurant for over 10 years we have accessed to all the finest meats and seafood in resort town of La Romana and have shoppers that make your life easier by provisioning your food and beverages so you do not have to even go into a supermarket. Our family of 4 all live here in the resort 24/7 so your family will always have someone to reach out to here when you come on vacation!
Kathleen Black purchased this villa in 2008
Casa de Campo located in La Romana of the sunny Dominican Republic is considered one of the top worldwide destinations for golf year round with 4 golf courses designed by Pete Dye. The Resort widely considered 'The most complete in the Caribbean' is a family paradise with beaches, golf, tennis, polo, horse riding, shooting, a medieval recreated village with open air amphitheatre, marina, fishing, boating, scuba, shopping and fine dining.
Punta Aguila 44 is located on the world famous 'Teeth of the Dog' golf course with a huge 70 ft private pool and 20 person heated Jacuzzi. It has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 14 comfortably (plus staff) and can easily be adjusted to accommodate 16 with an additional double bed. The house comes fully staffed with a cook, cleaners, butler and other staff as needed. We provide VIP services through your personal Villa Manager available to communicate with the staff and cater to your every need.
Fantastic villa , staff was awesome and food was superb. Best waiter I have ever had in any villa I have rented. Can't wait to come back, had a fantastic time!!! Five Star review !!! RB
We stayed in Punta Aguila 44 for a birthday celebration and present. The villa is located inside the resort Casa de Campo and is located on the famous Teeth of the Dog golf course. A couple of people were golfers so they got to play golf and said it was by far the most beautiful golf course they have ever played. The resort has 5 championship golf couses (one is private and not availabe to play), beach, tennis, shooting and horseback riding. The resort is spectacular although the beach is beautiful it is not a long beach like other resorts where you can walk for miles. The villa was great. After talking to Kathleen the owner we decided to take the food provisioning service she offers. She helps you plan your meals before your arrival and you have to send her a deposit. Once we arrived everything from food, beverages, beer wine all were ready to go. The staff knows how to prepare basic drinks so you just need to put your bathing suit on and jump in the jacuzzi and they bring you whatever you want to drink. The resort restaurants are very expensive so we were very happy that the food option was there at the villa. We ate out one night only and a couple of times for lunch at the beach. The villa was all prepared when we got there but the jacuzzi heat was not yet on so we asked for it to be put on very hot. it is a big jacuzzi so it took a couple of hours. Kathleen and her husband David are available since they live in the resort. We will definetely go back.
My family and I , group of 6 adults and 4 children stayed at this spectacular villa. First of all I could not get over the size of the pool, enormous as well as the Jacuzzi which we used everyday, both overlooking Teeth of the Dog Golf Course which is spectacular, one of Pete Dye's masterpieces in Casa de Campo. We ate 3 meals a day at the villa most of the days and the cook was amazing. The few times we did go out to dine, we were actually disappointed since the food was not as good as at the villa and the cost was at least double at the restaurants. The waiter and the rest of the staff were extremely pleasant, always smiling and accommodated to all of our needs. The villa itself was spectacular and immaculate. To top if off , there is so much to do in Casa de Campo for people of all ages, it was paradise. We cannot wait to go back next summer and stay at Punta Aguila 44 again. This was our 6th trip to CDC and this villa and staff topped all of the villas we stayed at by far. Definitely Five Star Service. Highly recommended.
Four couples shared this beautiful home. The staff went above and beyond to make this stay very memorable. They attended to our every need. The house is beautiful. The photos do not do justice to the home or the surroundings. We will definintly be back.
An absolutely fantastic place to settle in for vacation. Beautiful house, wonderful full staff (butler, cook and cleaning) that tends to whatever needs we had, and owners that are personally involved in making sure we were taken care of. Stayed for 10 days with my wife, 18 month old daughter and nanny and, while the house can comfortably accommodate large parties, we felt right at home. Owners, who also live in casa del campo, checked in several times to make sure we were taken care of; everyone here is about providing a great experience for their guests. And the house is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures too. Wonderful place that we will definitely be returning to soon.
the house was great, up to date with an excellent staff. Perfect for families.
We rented this villa for our easter holiday break for the family (group of 10 including 2 small children), and we stayed for 8 days (April 1-8, 2012). Upon arrival to the villa, we were all in awe with the beauty of it, the elegant open spaces, and just the general feel of the place. The villa is truly beautiful, and it is true that the pictures do not do it justice. Upon arrival we were greeted by Francisco, the villa butler/waiter, who helped us bring the luggage in and get settled. We were soon introduced to Dulce, the villa cook, who was also wonderful and an artist at cooking up whatever we asked for. The attention given to us by the villa staff was outstanding, and we basically did not have to do anything but relax and enjoy. Dinner was always served in the formal dining room, and everything was so nicely presented that it was a pleasure to stay in for dinner rather than going out to any restaurant. The villa owners, David and Kathleen Black, who live within the Casa de Campo Resort, are also the owners of Papa Jack's restaurant in Altos de Chavon and they always got us the best quality ingredients for whatever we wanted cooked up at the villa.
David and Kathleen were great, they stopped in periodically to make sure everything was going well, and they are both very nice, professional people.
The villa is HUGE, rooms are spacious, furniture is beautiful...what can I say, hard to beat.
Only one setback during our stay - the pool skimmer system was broken, so there was always a little film of leaves and dust on the water that made the pool unattractive. So most of us did not even go into the pool, which is a shame because the pool is beautiful. The very large jacuzzi was working great though, and we all enjoyed that.
Also highly recommended - rent a golf cart or two while you are there. Casa de Campo is just beautiful and huge - you can literally go on a golf cart for half an hour in one direction and still be within the resort - so it is really fun to drive around and admire the beautiful scenery and the impressive houses all around. If you are planning on leaving the resort, you will need a car, though.
We are not golfers, but these golf courses are some of the best in the world. And there is a very nice private beach club accessible by golf cart, with all the facilities you will need.
We would definitely go back and we certainly recommend the villa to anyone considering Casa de Campo for their vacation.
