We loved this place from start to finish. Finding the place was easy, as was following the clear directions from the owner. We were greeted with soft lighting and Christmas music and snacks in the kitchen. The place is small but oh so comfortable and beautifully furnished. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in - all top line appliances with every kitchen item one could want (and all of a high quality). The bed was remarkably comfortable and we found that we had lots of room for all our clothing and gear in the dresser and closet. The bathroom is small but well equipped - again, the attention to detail was very evident. The neighbourhood is charming with a number of terrific restaurants right around the corner. There is a safeway right up the street which was handy for us as we ate a number of meals in the condo. We walked everywhere in Washingon and always felt safe. This location was absolutely perfect for us. The only thing I would change is that we had a tough time figuring out the cable so we ended up using the material loaded on our own ipads rather than the tv - when we go back (and we will) we'll get a better primer on that from Alan. But overall, I would recomment the place (and our host) highly and we so very much look forward to coming back next year.
We were not happy with your lack of of timely response.
Your tv barely worked in the living room and the tv in the bedroom didn't work at all.
There was little info and we could not find sheets for the sofa bed.
Had to use towels to cover the sofa bed the first night.
could have been Easily explained if you would've left an information packet explaining the set up of your apartment. something for people to look at when entering your apartment.
We were left with one roll of toilet paper. We requested more but they never responded.
Access to the parking spot was a dangerous and cluttered basement hallway with an electrical cord across the pretty much filthy hallway.
You have a lot of nerve accepting payment from renters and then leave them to fend for themselves.
For a lot of visitors to Washington, the experience is similar to going to Disneyland where fascinating museums replace the amusement park rides. Staying in DuPont Circle gives you access to that, but it also allows you to experience a European style getaway with the incredible access to art and culture, but there is also the eye popping 19th Century architecture, the gourmet restaurants, and the eclectic shops. This rental is right in the heart of D.C.'s center of haute bourgeois life, and if you are a walker, you can get to Georgetown and the Mall on foot. The very convenient subway entrance provides the rest. This unit is very well equipped and spotless, and Alan takes good care of all our needs. We enjoyed our 4 night stay very much.
It is located in a fantastic area of DC, with plenty of restaurants and bars out the front door. Nice amenities and furnishings. Would stay again for sure when I am in town again.
Fabulous location...shops, restaurants and entertainment in every direction. We were even able to take a late night stroll to The White House for the Christmas tree lighting. The neighborhood is vibrant and everything is convenient including a Safeway just on the corner. The apartment itself was quiet and cozy. Beautifully furnished and lavishly decorated. Everything I needed was on hand including wine, spirits and candy! Allan was helpful and friendly. A+ overall!
This was our third stay at this property. It will meet the highest expectations. The location is within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, market and sights to see. The owners are most thoughtful and responsive. We will stay at this lovely property any time we are in DC.
