We are Massachusetts natives and my husband grew up on this very pond. We're looking forward to sharing this special place with people that appreciate Cape Cod at it's best. As a former interior designer in San Francisco, I especially enjoyed decorating the cottage and giving it a fresh and natural look to match it's beautiful surroundings. We hope you'll enjoy your stay as much as we always do!
Relaxing with friends or reading in the sunroom and gazebo, canoeing around the lagoons and marshes, bird watching, diving from the dock and taking a swim, riding bikes to Captain Frosty's for the best fried seafood on the Cape and watching magnificent sunsets all year round. On rainy days, we love to take a leisurely drive up historic route 6A, browse the antique shops and stop for a cup of clam chowder.
This is a beautiful cottage in a great location. Perfect for kayaking, boating and paddle boarding. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The outdoor shower has a door leading directly to the bathroom which is awesome - I never took an indoor shower the whole time we were there! We had morning coffee in the adirondack chairs and lunch and dinner in the gazebo every day. Saw tons of birds, including an osprey that flew overhead with its catch - so neat!
The cottage is located next to a public boat launch but we were surprised by how few people used it and how few boats were on the pond generally. It was a very peaceful week.
The location is perfect for access to Nantucket Sound or Bay beaches. It's a short bike ride (5 miles) to Sesuit Harbor for lunch.
Jon made the rental process super easy. We would definitely rent here again.
Enjoyed this cottage very much, it was clean and nicely located to do some kayaking. Jon was easy to work with and would definitely rent from him again. Thanks again Jon, whish I had 2 weeks, maybe next year.
This cottage is perfect! We stayed here for a week with our 5 year old son and our dog. The cottage is clean, well equiped and very nicely decorated. The photos depict the cottage well. We ate all of our meals in the gazebo, which is so lovely and we greatly enjoyed exploring the small beach and fishing off of the dock. The location is great as well-- 5 minutes from a large shopping center with a grocery store and about 10 minutes from downtown Dennis and the Dennis beaches. The owners were very easy to work with and very accomodating. Thanks for a great stay!
Last year was our third summer returning to the cottage. We will be back again this summer! We absolutely love the cottage. It's private with a beautiful view. The sunset at night is spectacular. The cottage is always extremely clean and looks like it's right out of a Pottery Barn catalog. We enjoy spending the late afternoons and evenings at the water and on the dock with our dogs. It's very close to the Dennis beaches and great restaurants as well. The owners are very nice and we look forward to returning every year.
This cottage was perfect for our family of four. The cottage is cozy, very clean, and well-appointed. The owners were very responsive to our questions both before and during our stay. We found the location to be our perfect "home base" for exploring the Cape. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a small but lovely cottage meticulously clean, detailed and laid out. It is at the end of a dead end road right in front of the boat launch. There is even a small beach on which to walk. Pefect with your dog or boat. Boat ride down Bass River is beautiful. Outdoor deck area has nice views and gazebo is great for rain or too much heat. My only disappointment was the dock was not yet out as we went early this season and there was not a grill available. Otherwise, it was a great booking!
