About Marc for Unit #12
We live in Canada and it can get cold. We take every opportunity we can to come visit the Cayman Islands. With three young children, it is relaxing to know everyone will be safe. We started with one condo and soon found ourselves adding a few more. What started out as a hobby, has quickly become a small business and as such we treat our units as a business and our guests as our best clients. Attention to detail is what best sums up our motto.

While Marc is nice / helpful (our TV was out for 2 days over the holidays and he did his best to help from Canada, although without success), our overall stay was disappointing. The property, condo, furnishings, linens, etc. are all very outdated (circa 1970s). The 3 bedrooms upstairs bedrooms share 1 upstairs bathroom (the other bathroom / laundry room in on the ground floor). Also, while the property is on 7-mile beach, it's at the southern tip where the beach is narrow (about 30 feet wide at high tide) and near the cruise ships (and there were between 2 to 7 massive cruise ships in the harbor on 5 of the 7 days we were there). Additionally, the property is immediately adjacent to several beach properties that serve as day-spots for hoards of people, so the beach felt more like a beehive than a peaceful respite. I would strongly suggest booking something further north on 7 mile beach (at or north of The Sovereign, which is only a few properties away, but where the beach is considerably wider and population density is much lower).
I shouldn't take a comment like this too personally but I do. I try to go above and beyond with every guest to ensure everything is perfect and when there is an issue I do everything possible to resolve it. Within minutes of the guest arriving it was off to a bad start. Guest called and said she was unaware that the three bedrooms upstairs shared a single bathroom and that would create an issue since one of the guests had hip surgery and needed their own bathroom. She asked to be upgraded to a room that would meet this requirement and when I told her that a) every 3bed in the complex has the same layout and that b)the likelihood of finding another place outside of our complex on SMB over Christmas last minute would likely be impossible, she was not happy. We clearly state in the listing that there is a main floor bathroom and second floor bathroom and nowhere do we advertise individual ensuites. The décor is as shown in the pics, or newer. To fault us for items that are exactly as advertised is not fair. The TV issue (1 out of 2 TVs in the unit) was a problem. It turns out the TV box lost its pairing over night due to a firmware upgrade that is rare and because it was reported on New Year's Eve, the soonest the service provider could send a technician onsite was the morning of Jan 2. Not sure why the guest referenced me personally being in Canada, we have staff available 24/7 for cleaning, maintenance issues and even AC repair. I could have been staying in the unit with her and it wouldn't have made any difference. I do find it a bit humorous that the guest was all to eager to report the fault but not mention how I offered (without being asked) to buy a round of drinks or dessert for the entire family as a good will gesture for the TV issue. As for the other comments, we are on Seven Mile Beach and it absolutely gets busy, especially during Christmas. It is the same for all the condos in our complex and surrounding area, we are in the heart of it all. Guests love the fact that they can walk everywhere. We have hosted 100s of fantastic guests and it is a shame that a review like this gets posted when it is not warranted and sincerely hope other potential guests don't give her any validation.
We had a great family vacation at this lovely spot on Seven Mile Beach. First time to GC but we will definitely be back. Lots of space in the condo, great screened in porch for relaxing after the beach and steps to the most beautiful water ever!
Great property in a wonderful island
My family and I loved our vacation at Cayman Reef Resorts. The property was great, well laid out for 7 people. Loved having a kitchen to make breakfast and lunch. We headed out to dinner, and there was plenty near by to walk to. The beach is perfect, as is the water and plenty of fish to look at. The pool looked nice, we just chose not to use it since we have a pool at home. Marc was available if we needed him and called to check in.
Very nice and clean. Good location
Best part of seven mile beach with a small reef to snorkel right behind
We loved Cayman Reef Resort #12, it was our first time staying at CCR but it won't be our last. My teenage boys are still talking about making a return trip sometime and I have to say I have no reason not to. Marc was available immediately for simple questions while we stayed, nothing big (a crib was out, and question about beach umbrellas). The property was prettier than the pictures. I loved the location. The beach was fabulous! To the south there's the Marriott and their beach is full of lawn chairs and further south it's all rocky. CCR beach has the softest sand ever! The restaurants nearby were delicious and Marc gave recommendations for his favorites as well. There was a staff who cleaned the pool and did pool maintenance every day. They put up umbrellas and cleaned up chairs from the beach every night. Twice over the week we didn't get an umbrella from the complex but we had a large beach umbrella that Marc supplied in the rental unit. I have already recommended the unit to friends back home! While we were there, we rented a standup paddleboard from George's Watersports and that was fantastic having that, we would paddleboard and snorkel and switch. We went to stingray city, the turtle farm and swam with the dolphins, all are definitely recommended. It's no wonder my family wants to return. Probably the best vacation we have ever had!
Located directly on the best spot of Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman Island, between the Ritz and the Marriott, you will be walking distance to two grocery stores, restaurants and the new Camana Bay Shops and everything else you could possibly want to do. This beach has pristine white sand, and gorgeous coral reef. With this location, a car rental is not necessary. The ultimate in convenience!
