Why Sharon Joyce owner chose Bar Harbor
Be together or be independent. Maybe a Wednesday to Wednesday rental or the traditional Saturday is what you need so you can take advantage of lower airfares? Let us know and we will try to help. You don't have to do a lot of driving once you arrive there are free propane buses about two blocks away or bike into the park. You have probably driven long enough. An extended family or several small families can travel together and easily have flexibility of being in the Village. Small beach for little tiny kids is next to the Bar Harbor pier ( about 1 1/2 blocks away) See the many things going on in Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce site and I could give you my recommendations after you arrive.

Literally the best possible location
Easy walk to the waterfront, village greens/parks, restaurants and everything you’d want to see in downtown BH. And it’s pretty quiet for such a central location.
Perfect spot in Bar Harbor
I stayed here in March with friends and plan to return this summer with my family. It was within easy walking distance of the harbor, shops, and restaurants. It's a comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Kids and adults enjoyed Reel Pizza for an evening combining a movie and pizza. There are several cute places nearby to grab breakfast or indulge in lobster rolls. We can't wait to enjoy it in the summer too.
Golf: Historic golf course open to public is within a mile from the house. Many activities within walking distance from the house. While you are staying at the upstairs unit you get a 20% discount at Ambrosia Cooking School. See classes at www.ambrosiacookingschool.com Movies, island to walk to at low tide, children play places and Frenchman Bay only steps away.
