About Jay Lang - please feel free to call with ?

Fun at the Lake is what this property is all about

Jay Lang - please feel free to call with ? purchased this house in 2007

Why Jay Lang - please feel free to call with ? chose Wautoma

We were looking for a simple home that still had that feeling of being up north without being on a lake of trophy homes. We found this home in July 2007 and have fixed it up and made many improvements to make it a great place to enjoy the simple life. This is a no wake lake so you won't have to worry about your children getting run over by a jet ski or a boat, so you can sit back an relax and let the children be children.

What makes this house unique

There is nothing pressing to do, but there are a million things to do. Play in the sand, catch a fish, swing on the swing, play in the sand, take the paddle boat out, catch a frog, have a snack, go for a walk, get a Dilly Bar from Dairy Queen, go for a swim, play a game on the deck, watch an eagle fly in the sky, play in the sand, order take out food from Christiano's, start a fire at dusk, have s'more, have another s'more, okay have another s'more, look at the stars, dream about doing it again tomorrow....

Guestbook comments from the owner name is Margo and I was fortunate to spent the week at your cabin with Amy and Brian. I just want to say THANK YOU! Being a sun and water person I was right in my element.....the cabin was so comfortable and cozy and having toys for the water was an extra bonus.

Hope we didn't burn too much wood.....we do like our camp fires.

Thanks again and also for the opportunity to support Lakeside.

Cute, cozy, cabin.

It was absolutely perfect for our guests to stay in for our wonderful (yet rainy) wedding on the lake. There was plenty of room and everyone just loved it. Thank you!

Peaceful and easy.

  • 4 of 5

This was the best-equipped lake house I've ever rented. Everything was in good working order, and everything you might want was there, from kitchen equipment to boating options. The place was well-maintained, on a quiet and picturesque lake. We stayed for a week, and never turned on the TV, though we used the excellent wifi. The lake is clear, with a sandy bottom, so perfect for swimming. We especially liked the front yard between the house and the lake. No Stairs!

The property was great

  • 4 of 5

The stay was great and we had a lot of normal home accommodations. Our greatest problem was the garbage situation. Although there were directions about garbage dumping we didn't have an id in order to do this! It also rained several days and the television did not a have a USB port for our firestick so we got a little stir crazy after day two of rain. Overall we had a great time and would recommend.

A wonderful week of relaxation

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Lang's lake home. Calling it a cottage does not do it justice. We were happy to have the week to relax and enjoy the quiet lake. The kayak and paddle boat were put to good use, as we tooled around the lake a couple of times each day. The kitchen had plenty of essential gadgets and appliances, with a large frig. Beds were comfy, with wonderful bedding. We were glad to have WiFi, as well. We had visitors throughout the week, and all were impressed with the property, the home, and the lake. Our only negative is that we were required to remove all garbage and recycling from the property by the end of the week. Thanks so much for sharing your property! Amy

Great vacation house

  • 5 of 5

The Lang family cottage was incredibly perfect for our two-family vacation! We had planned on doing all kinds of activities in the area but instead we stayed at the house almost the entire time. It's spacious enough for two families, super kid friendly, and a great atmosphere for relaxing, fun and creativity! Thanks!!!!

lazy week of summer until checkout

  • 4 of 5

Bugh's lake home was so tidy yet roomy. At one point we had 9 people yet plenty of room for everyone. Loved the hammocks and swings the best.

Beach could have been cleaner. I spent a morning pulling weeds and yuck off the sand.

The row boat needs maintenance. Broken oar lock.

Check out was quite labor intensive. As per contract, cleaned everything. For 1250 a week, washing oven, refrigerator, floors, seems a lot. I didn't hear a thanks for staying with us after either. We spent 3 hours cleaning and not a word. Neighbors described them as persnickety renters. Althuogh it was lovely and relaxing don't think we'll stay again. I was too worried about spilling on the carpeted areas.

Owner's Response: Becky, Thanks for staying and I will look into the broken oarlock on the rowboat. We sent out your full security deposit refund and a thank you on Saturday, so you should see it today or tomorrow. You did go all out on the cleaning, we were very surprised and appreciate it!
