Do you want a true Santa Fe Get-away? Try Casa Maritzia with its old world Santa Fe charm. Our adobe home has been lovingly restored with original vigas, hardwood floors and Mexican tile, wood burning kiva fireplace, enclosed patio of cedar latillas and all the details that make it such a unique and special place. We were so comfortable, it was difficult to leave. Your attention to every little detail went far beyond our expectations. The flowers, the wonderful coffee, the plus towels and sheets and your personal greeting was very appreciated. When we return to Santa Fe, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Thank you.

Delightful

  • 5 of 5

Very spacious and comfortable., clean. Almost too big for 2 people wanting separate bedrooms. Owner was attentive but not intrusive. After a full day of galleries and shopping, relaxing on the patio was a treat. Within walking distance Of the plaza and Canyon road, though we drove at night to go to dinner.

Wonderful Casa in every way

  • 5 of 5

Location is awesome! Easy short (approximate 2 blocks) walk to the Plaza, and to museums, dining, shopping and so many historic places of interest. The casa is so lovely! It is very clean and very well-maintained. The beds are incredibly comfortable. Even the sheets are very soft. All of the rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated and are just so charming and inviting. We certainly had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Of course WiFi and a "land-line" phone is available; all of the necessary small appliances are provided in the kitchen. Due to the floor plan of the home, the bedrooms maintain privacy by distance, each having their own bathroom, huge closets and HD-TV and are so incredibly quiet because of the insulating adobe walls. Every room even has its own thermostat to satisfy each guest's individual temperature preference. The customer service is above and beyond anything I have experienced in my many previous Santa Fe stays. Rita greeted us most warmly and familiarized us with the casa and everything we needed to know to take full advantage of all the property has to offer. She provided such lovely additional "touches" from a supply of coffee beans and fresh ground coffee to the lovely bouquet of fresh roses. The dining area table was "set" with places for the three of us in anticipation of our arrival. I cannot think of anything more to have made our stay possibly any better, from the ample off-street parking to the beautiful fenced front yard with a gas out-door grill and an out-door dining area and most comfortably furnished veranda, where most mornings I chose to sit while greeting the day with a morning cup of coffee. We certainly found the office with a spacious desk most accommodating to checking on our business/home issues from our lap-tops. And all of this comes at a most reasonable price. As is obvious, I cannot praise enough our most enjoyable stay at this wonderful casa. It will be my first choice to stay for my next visit to Santa Fe.

Not just a house....home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Rite and Tom's beautiful house was perfect for our first long term stay in enchanting Santa Fe (1 month). I almost cried with joy when I stepped in the door! Lovely tile floors, vigas, gorgeous dishes and glasses, fully stocked kitchen with new appliances and nice cookware. Private guest quarters withe en suite bath make this a perfect house to share with another couple or older kids. Parking is off street and secure. The outside space is lovely for outdoor dining and we grillled many times. Oh did I mention a quick walk to the plaza and 15 min to Canyon Road? Already booked next year! Thank you, Rita and Tom!

THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN SANTA FE!!

  • 5 of 5

Rita's home is perfect in every respect! I am picky, and I have a vacation rental listed on VRBO so I feel especially qualified to critique my 'competition'. Everything is done right at Casa Maritzia - there are fresh cut flowers on arrival; the house is spotlessly clean and clutter free (you don't feel as if you're a guest living in someone else's place);TV's in family room and bedrooms; extremely well equipped kitchen (very nice refrigerator); furniture is nice, expensive and new; new energy efficient washer and dryer; great WIFI; 10 minute walk to the Plaza; nice enclosed back yard with new patio furniture and BBQ; comfortable beds. This place is perfect for two couples or small family (each bedroom has a separate bathroom). Really a first rate experience!

Location and Comfort

  • 5 of 5

Casa Maritzia was perfect! We had absolutely everything we needed! The thick walls of adobe kept us warm when it turned cold and cool when it warmed up. We ate most meals out but the kitchen was well stocked including spices and coffee filters. Rita even ground fresh coffee for us and included a beautiful vase of roses for our arrival. The internet worked perfectly. In the office, there were many resources for sites to see in and around Santa fe and for hiking. We had plenty of toilet tissue, kleenex, bath soap, towels and linens, fresh bath soap, good water pressure, excellent lighting, hair dryers, clocks in the bedrooms and even night lights in the bathrooms. There was also a flashlight and umbrellas. The furniture was comfortable. I can't think of anything that was not provided! Rita was a gracious host, kind and very helpful. She was very responsive during the booking process, was there to meet us on arrival, and checked on us regarding our comfort after a couple of days. It was an easy walk to the Plaza area, restaurants, museums, shops. We had a car and parking was at the rear of the casita, off the street and private. Very close to the back door for loading and unloading. The washer and dryer worked well. I can't say enough good things about Casa Maritzia!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I stayed in your lovely casita home April 1-4, and had such a great time! It's such a perfect location, within easy walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. The casita had everything we could have possibly needed, including freshly ground coffee in the pantry! Another bonus is the dedicated parking off the street, at the back door of the casita. Thank you for all your helpful hints, Rita. I will definitely book again!
