We are retired court reporters. Bonnie is a quilter/fiber artist. Steve is an avid golfer. Both enjoy outdoor activities.

Proximity to University and all that campus offers.
Cozy, clean and comfortable. Bonnie and Steve greeted us when we arrived and made us feel right at home. There were two bottles of decent wine, one red and one white waiting along with farm fresh eggs. Coffee, teas and a few staples and lots of spices were available if you felt like cooking in the well equipped kitchen. We ate at the island and thought there wasn't a table until we discovered it appears there is one that pulls out from the tv cabinet. The place is full of interesting southwestern artistic touches. The bathroom has plenty of towels, homemade soaps and a variety of things you might need, including sunscreen! We enjoyed waking up to the sun coming up over the tree full of ripening lemons! Even on the shortest day of the year we were able to enjoy the private back patio. The casita has its own laundry room! Bonnie and Steve were kind enough to lend us their bicycles and helmets. You can ride north on a roadside bike path that felt safe to a dedicated park bath that goes a long way along a currently dry river bed. It is possible to ride to the Tucson Mall or Trader Joes. There were two great Farmers Markets there on the Sunday we visited. Bring a backpack or two! The location of the casita is perfect if you like to explore as there are interesting attractions to the north, south, east and west. We loved coming back to "our" home each day and are so glad we didn't stay in a hotel. We will be back and highly recommend staying here. It is exactly as it appears on the website, including the little putting green!
We spent a delightful five nights at Casa Bonita. The description and pictures are accurate. Location is in town relatively close to the University. The house is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is the best equipped of any place that we have stayed. While there are many good places to eat within a short drive we chose to fix most of our own meals. Filled the days with hikes to the east and west of Tucson and also visited the Mission. Love the desert late in the afternoon. Bonnie and Steve were gracious hosts and a delight to talk with.
Casa Bonita couldn't be lovelier. Everything is put together beautifully with an obvious intent to make you feel at home. We loved sitting on our private patio each afternoon. Having our own laundry facilities just off the patio was an unexpected benefit. The kitchen and bath have everything you could need, just like at home. We loved our afternoon kitty visits. Steve and Bonnie were exceedingly good hosts and even lent us their bicycles for the duration of our stay. The Casa is within walking distance of the University without being too close. (About a10 block walk.)
We're planning on staying again next time we visit our daughter in Tucson. You can believe all the great reviews on this listing. 💖
Casa Bonita is very comfortable, well furnished with everything you may need, and centrally located. Bonnie and Steve are gracious hosts, who go out of their way to ensure a satisfying experience.
Great stay. Super Casita with everything you would want. Pulled out of driveway and turned right on Mountain Ave and I was at the UofA bookstore in 2 minutes. Perfect location for a visit with my daughter.
I needed a place that was quiet, private, reasonably priced, and close to the University. Case Bonita is all those things and more. You have access to everything you need, including a well-appointed kitchen. Bonnie and Steve are great hosts and were very helpful during my stay. I have already made my next reservation at Casa Bonita, and I look forward to that trip.
We are 3/4 quarter of a mile directly north of U of A, which is an ideal situation for U of A activities, University Medical Center, as well as downtown events, including the annual Gem Show.
