Cozy cabin with beautiful lake view.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this nicely decorated cabin with comfortable large bed and bathroom. Living area has pretty water and moonlight views. Only reason for 4 stars is that road noise is apparent because of location, however, we were aware and not disappointed with owner or stay. If we visit the area again we would stay again. Thank you for your service.

Aged furniture in need of real cleaning. Road noise made it hard to sleep. Over priced.

  • 1 of 5

Pretty disappointing overall. The first impression was a very strong musty/mildew odor greets you when you first open the door. We had to open all the windows for several hours to lessen the smell. The furniture was very aged and in need of a deep cleaning. The cabin reminded me very much of a hunting camp in the deep woods - old, cast off furnishings just to make it habitable. I realize the road noise is nothing the owner can control but for the price paid it was not acceptable. The proximity to Lake Superior was a definite plus factor. Sadly, we were very disappointed.

Owner's Response: I only smell pine when i enter the cabin. There is no musty odor. The northwoods design futon is a couple years old and not torn or dirty. The big cushy recliner is not torn or old looking. Its brown leather. The table is maple with matching chairs The chairs have been deep cleaned as a former guest left marks on them.. The northwoods design chair is like new. The new bear lamp is fantastic. The bed is hand carved and made for the cabin. These items were purchased for the cabin. I did not have these in my house or elsewhere. They were newly bought. The cabin price is the least expensive one on vrbo for the county. The price includes linens, dishes, towels, washcloths, all paper products. It has a lot of charm. Perhaps these people would be happier in a hotel room.

Rustic but not elegant

  • 1 of 5

We stayed here for the night only because it was already paid for. The place was dirty, dusty and full of cobwebs. The setting could have been nice because it's right on the water with a sandy beach, but the yard was a mess, with tall weeds and unmowed grass. We couldn't wait to leave and were very disappointed.

Charming, rustic

A tight fit for 4 people, but cute cabin. Hard to find, especially at night. Gorgeous property and view of the bay.

Amazing views of the Bay; Cabin is adorable!

  • 4 of 5

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It is a little slice of heaven tucked into the bay! The authentic log cabin was great. The morning views of the bay while walking on the sand enjoying coffee were spectacular! (Even in November!) Even the dog enjoyed the water! Well worth the trip! Perfectly located if you want to check out the Western part of the U.P. Would definitely stay again!
