The worst ever!

Thank You, after being totally disappointed and appalled by the conditions of the rental my wife in major distress decided that we should go on our own to find shelter for the remaining days that we are here on vacation. Please assist us with getting our full refund, for this property should not be on anyone's rental list and should be barred from any type of vacation rental from especially VRBO!

Please see the photos below taken upon arrival and the conditions that were totally deplorable to the point where we had to seek shelter for myself and are very close and dear friends for the entire five days.

Even after contacting the owner who recognize and knew their property was uninhabitable, The owner then begin to text me in an apologetic manner, as you can see in the text messages following these photos of the deplorable condition.

The house was very nice with alot of character. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen. The deck was very nice with beautiful views.

Very nice

Over all our stay was wonderful. On the first day there were some wasps on the deck area so we really didn't get to enjoy it very much. We wish that the air had been turned on before we got there because it was so hot outside and inside whem we got there. We loved the quiet area and don't mind the drive to our daily adventures.

Owner's Response: That Ga heat is aweful on some summer days , last week we installed a new central air AC system with blue tooth thermostats so we can activate the AC before arrivals from any location on a smart phone . Making improvements to better serve our guests , look forward to more changes in the future .

Nice layout and decor in need of many repairs and upkeep

The house had a great layout and was probably quite lovely when new! We arrived in 90plus weather to a home with no AC turned on. There were many broken items, the towel ring fell off the wall, we were told by owner the dishwasher may have a leak--yes when checking out the downstairs, water was leaking from the ceiling and fixtures onto the floor creating a mildew smell. So Could not use dishwasher. There was a dehumidifier in the basement running non-stop due to the leak. There were no doors on many cabinets, outlets without covers, bare wires hanging, 2 of the 3 patio doors were unusable and had signs stating broken. Cooking utensils were not cleaned and I opened the oven to find a pan full of grease and food bits! The kitchen faucet was not well attached and moved when used. The shower doors were missing a guide and kept falling off the track (which could have posed a hazard) The grass and shrubs needed cutting and we're hanging over the stair railing to the entrance so spiders and bugs were on you when using stairs. The yard had many ant hill mounds in need of treatment - so beware if you have kids or a pet. The house exterior needed paint and repair. The stated golf course view was minimal as the pictures taken were from years ago and the trees now hide the view. There was no info about the use of fans, tv, Internet etc. The frig had built in ice maker which was not working. The home has great space for a family with 2 bedrooms and bath upstairs and washer and dryer in lower level family room. The property is large for kids to play and run around. The owner needs to sink some money into this place and bring it up to standard. Provide nice towels instead of towels with holes and bleach marks, comforters without rips, and replace nasty stained pans or clean them. Maybe replace old couch with modern leather sofa. This place could be a real jewel with needed repairs, cleaning and TLC. We stayed at another older home in the area but it was much cleaner and better maintained. If you are older or have health issues, the stairs and incline from parking area to house may be an issue! The view of pasture and horses and homes below was lovely and there is shopping and gas within several miles. I would not stay here again unless the safety issues and cleaning was done. We left 2 days ahead of planned departure as my husband was feeling ill. He has lung issues and the mold and mildew I'm sure did not help!! Sorry - but this is how it was!!

Owner's Response: I usually get 1 renter a year like this that has nothing better to do but complain. They can't function outside there own home, Yes there was a leak in the dishwasher.the previous renter had kids and was a little distrucive. The cleaning crew always does a nice job , there's a few repairs and upgrades needed but we're constantly doing that between renters , this renter had a dog that left awful dog smell ,obviously they don't wash it , . We don't leave the AC on all week with know one in the house , you will need to turn it on , it cools down in 20 min part of life , the remote controls and internet all work great , operator error , I knew from the minute I rented to them that they'd be complaining.during the peak of the rental season it gets difficult to fix everything , the rains that came caused grass and bushes to grow little faster that week happens every year ,. Lawn care group is still doing a fine job . I'm sure you all will enjoy your stay as you can see from so many renters that have , The town cryers are likely complaining wherever they are!! . I suggest they stay home where there comfortable and know how to turn there own lights on and operate there own tv , take care folks , james

Amazing!

The home was excellent for my family. My wife arrived on Wednesday and she was blown away. The house is so beautiful and comfortable sje didn't want to return home. Will definitely be gping back and hope this home will be available for us for next year!!

Quiet, comfortable home in the meadows

I really enjoyed all the comforts of home as opposed to a hotel while away on business. The home had everything I could need and then some right down to the dishes in the kitchen. The home has very comfortable furnishings & beds, extra linens if needed and personal size toiletries in case you forgot something. The location is far enough away to have quiet and country but close enough to shops, groceries and dining that you get the best of both worlds. The deck overlooking the horse pasture below and the golf course was the perfect way to end the evening and relax with a drink or a good book. There was a gas grill available so you could throw dinner on if you wanted and an outdoor table with chairs to enjoy outside dining. The grounds were well maintained and very pretty, the yard was huge, it would be perfect for a traveling family with a few children to burn off some energy playing ball or tag and not stuck in a hotel room in front of the TV. The owner was very accommodating and willing to answer any questions via text or phone in case I had a question. I will definitely return and avoid a cramped hotel room!
