We had a wonderful stay at Glass Gable South.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Glass Gable South was perfect from start to finish. Diana met us upon arrival to see if we needed anything and to answer any questions we had. The house was very comfortable and accommodated our group of 9 perfectly. The kitchen was well appointed and ready for a dinner party with steaks on the grill. The best part of our stay by far was the amazing back yard. It was landscaped beautifully and had a pergola, water fountain and twinkle lighting. If we have any occasion to visit Carlisle again, we will stay at the glass gables with out a doubt. Thanks Diana!

The Glass Gable House is amazing and the perfect place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My extended family was flying to Pennsylvania from Seattle for my nephew's wedding to be held in Gettysburg and the reception in Carlisle. I needed a house with sleeping for 9 and plenty of space to host a large dinner for even more extended family. The Glass Gable looked perfect so I booked it. Given it was an older home I worried that there wouldn't be high functioning air conditioning and with one shower would there be enough hot water for the showers needed on the big day?? These were NOT issues and the space was even better than I had envisioned. Everyone in our party was comfortable! I should also mention the outside area and grill in the back of the property as a bonus! We were able to grill hamburgers for a crowd of 14! You can't go wrong choosing this property. It performed well beyond my expectations!

Cute house with great owner

I rented the house to put some family here to attend a wedding. They loved the house and the owner. They were happy with the house, comfortable and situated close to everything. Diana was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

The Christmas House!

  • 5 of 5

We had 9 people sharing the south side of this house for Christmas week and we had 5 more join us on Christmas Eve and day and they stayed in the north side of the house. Everything was perfect and beautifully decorated as if we were in a family home, with a full sized Christmas tree and hooks on the mantle for us to hang our own stockings. We cooked many meals and had everything we needed. Bed linens were cozy and nice quality. I went out running in the evenings and the neighborhood was peaceful with many homes and businesses decorated with Christmas lights. The front porch and backyard were definitely bonus spaces for hanging out and relaxing. I would love to come back and enjoy the area in the summer next time and do some outdoor grilling. We dined at the gingerbread man and Fay's country kitchen and we enjoyed both. Skip hoss's steakhouse. It was low quality. All in all we had a fun family christmas get together and would love to do it again! P.S. The home owners are amazing to deal with, what wonderful people!

nicest victorian home available in dutch country pa

  • 5 of 5

We had a party of 9 in town for the fall Carlisle car show. This home had plenty of room, and was in great location being only 3 miles to fairgrounds, and in walking distance to all that downtown Carlisle has to offer. .The condition of this beautifully restored Victorian historic home is amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. I can't think of one thing that is missing from this well stocked home. This house would be great for any event or family get together you could think of. Diana is a great host that is always available for any needs. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Thanks Diana and Walt for a great home at a very reasonable price. I would love to stay here again.
