Cute house with great owner

  • 5 of 5

I rented the house to put some family here to attend a wedding. They loved the house and the owner. They were happy with the house, comfortable and situated close to everything. Diana was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

The Christmas House!

  • 5 of 5

We had 9 people sharing the south side of this house for Christmas week and we had 5 more join us on Christmas Eve and day and they stayed in the north side of the house. Everything was perfect and beautifully decorated as if we were in a family home, with a full sized Christmas tree and hooks on the mantle for us to hang our own stockings. We cooked many meals and had everything we needed. Bed linens were cozy and nice quality. I went out running in the evenings and the neighborhood was peaceful with many homes and businesses decorated with Christmas lights. The front porch and backyard were definitely bonus spaces for hanging out and relaxing. I would love to come back and enjoy the area in the summer next time and do some outdoor grilling. We dined at the gingerbread man and Fay's country kitchen and we enjoyed both. Skip hoss's steakhouse. It was low quality. All in all we had a fun family christmas get together and would love to do it again! P.S. The home owners are amazing to deal with, what wonderful people!

nicest victorian home available in dutch country pa

  • 5 of 5

We had a party of 9 in town for the fall Carlisle car show. This home had plenty of room, and was in great location being only 3 miles to fairgrounds, and in walking distance to all that downtown Carlisle has to offer. .The condition of this beautifully restored Victorian historic home is amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. I can't think of one thing that is missing from this well stocked home. This house would be great for any event or family get together you could think of. Diana is a great host that is always available for any needs. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Thanks Diana and Walt for a great home at a very reasonable price. I would love to stay here again.

We travelled from the UK for our son's wedding in Carlisle and Glass Gable was perfect for us with plenty of room for our party of six. The location is great and the owners Diana and Walt are extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

Very enjoyable stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our visit in the upstairs apartment. It was spacious for the 3 of us, and really had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great location and very clean. One small recommendation to make this even better- update the blinds in the small bedroom on the top level to block the morning sun.

A wonderful spot for a family gathering

  • 5 of 5

This was a very comfortable, well-appointed home with all of the amenities any traveler might be looking for. The convenient location and beautifully landscaped backyard and patio made it a perfect spot for a family gathering. We were in Carlisle to attend my daughter's commencement ceremonies at Dickinson College and the Glass Gable gave us a convenient spot to reconvene after a day of celebrating on campus.
