The apartment is located in the district of Cologne Mülheim with numerous shopping opportunities. Until the Cologne city center is only 4 km away. With easy access to public transport can also be reached by public transport from Cologne city center in less than 10 minutes.

The apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood, 2 blocks from the Koln Mulheim train station. Easy access to Koln city center, cathedral, markets, airport, and trains to Dusseldorf. There is a supermarket and pastry shop around the corner. Although convenient, the immigrant neighborhood lacks the charm of the city center. The apartment is very large, with 7 twin beds in the 3 bedrooms (one bedroom can only be accessed by passing through another bedroom), as well as a queen size futon in the living room . The kitchen was adequately stocked with pots, pans, plates, cutlery and glassware, although there is no coounter space for meal preparation. The radiators in each room cranked out plenty of heat in the winter. Unfortunately, the apartment has several flaws. It looks like a bachelor pad, and shows its age, wear and tear. The hot water pressure in the bathroom is low and tempermental - showers need to be kept short. There is no hair dryer in the bathroom - the owner is encouraged to purchase a hair dryer for occupants to use. Although the apartment is described as "renovated," the renovation has been done very poorly. The new laminate floors are already in bad shape and, in several places, dont measure up to the walls. There are shims supporting plumping and appliances in the bathroom and the kitchen. The electical system is truly outdated with extension cords running throughout the apartment , including the kitchen countertop. It is a potential electrical hazard, especially if one should need to charge multiple gadgets (Ipads, iphones, etc) at the same time. The large windows are drafty. In fact, the kitchen window doesn't even close completely. This poses a safety concern, as the apartment is only on the 2nd floor (1st floor by European standards), although the window does face a locked internal courtyard. The owner needs to do a proper renovation job, with an overhaul of the plumbing, electrical, windows, flooring, and kitchen. With all this in mind, this is not the right place for a family, especially a family with small children. Nor is it recommended for elderly travelers, as there is no elevator. However, the apartment would service adequately for a group of young adults.
