The property was beautiful and exactly as described by all the other reviewers! Jack and his daughter were lovely to work with and everything went exactly as planned!
My family and I were very impressed with this unique property. We were a group of five adults and one small grandchild. The cottage was very comfortable for all of us, and was clean with all the amenities we needed.
The views of the lake from the cottage were spectacular. The cottage allows you to experience nature and have privacy, but is also close to nearby Grand Haven and Holland for day trips. The owner was excellent to work with and had great suggestions for restaurants and places to see. There are steps to climb but the views are so well worth it!
This is a lovely home with spectacular sunsets overlooking Lake Michigan. The rooms were spacious, clean and the cottage had every amenity plus. My wife and I rented this tree house and would recommend it to anyone wishing a quiet retreat with beach access and privacy.
While we did not have children with us, the cottage easily supports a family with several children for a rental. The beach here supports swimming and bathing activities with children since it is a gradual slopping beach with little or no undertow or rip tide.
Location of this prime property is near Grand Haven, Michigan with all the amenities of that location. Fricano’s Pizza, Morning Star Café (for a great breakfast) and the park and walk near the channel entrance to Lake Michigan (a short 10 miles) away were highlights of our stay.
The owners were very accommodating, friendly and insured that we had a wonderful stay. We will return and we recommend this cottage with no hesitation.
The cabin has the feel and charm of the traditional, old-fashioned waterfront cottages. It is rustic and has large windows which bring in lots of sunshine. The beds were comfortable with soft comforters. The entire property was very, very clean! 2 of the bedrooms have lofts for sleeping areas that would be great for older children. The owners were thoughtful and easy to work with. One word of advice: there are over 150 descending steps to reach the beach so be prepared for a work out.
10 minutes from from Grand Haven with restaurants, boardwalk, public beach, pier, musical fountains, harbor. 40 minutes from Grand Rapids with world class Meijer Gardens, a botanical garden and sculpture park, and many fine restaurants. 30 minutes from Saugatuck, on the lake with numerous art galleries, shops and quaint village atmosphere.
