The house is fantastic.
The house was great. I wasn't expecting the home to be so large. The suite on top of the garage was great. They spared no expenses when building this home. The house isn't on the beach but it is less than an 1/8 of a mile scenic walk through the woods. Of course Lake Huron was way too cold to swim in at this time but it was gorgeous. I would recommend this house to anyone.
Can't say enough good
We stayed at this home from 9/11-19/2010 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only negative would be that the house was a bit further from the lake than expected, but it wasn't that far still and walking down a boardwalk for a couple hundred feet is not all that painful. there were 13 in our group and we had plenty of room to not be stepping on one anothers toes. the kitchen is fully stocked and the home overall is beautiful. the home is very bright thanks to many windows and skylights. the property was clean. the owner was willing to work with us and was willing to make adjustments when possible, we greatly appreciated that.
I would love to return to this property in the summertime when the temp is a bit higher. lake huron was unexpectedly beautiful, we are from PA and were used to murky brown lake erie, huron was crystal clear blue with white sand.
there is shopping close by, iga in harrisville or kris mart in lincoln. we did not eat out, we ate in every night and fed everyone comfortably. there is a lighthouse 5 min north at sturgeon pt and a lighthouse 35 min south at tawas pt st park, both beautiful. there was also a trout farm on the rd to sturgeon pt and the kids were able to fish for trout and then cook them for dinner.
We very much appreciate the kind review and look forward
to having this family as guests again.
