Beautiful Old Log Cabin in Green Mountain Falls Colorado

Bedrooms 5
Half Baths1
Space 2,500 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

5 Bedroom, 2 and 1/2 Bath

The Antlers Cabin is a great old place that will take you back in time. It is in Green Mountain Falls, an old vacation town nestled in a quiet valley at the foot of Pikes Peak, just outside of Colorado Springs.

This historic log cabin includes three levels of living space with 5 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths and sleeps 8-10 comfortably. Two outdoor patios and a deck provide ample room to take in the beautiful mountain views.

Great location, close to Colorado Springs - but snuggled in the mountains for that true mountain town feel. Green Mountain Falls is a quiet little town with shops, restaurants, a fishing pond, hiking trails, public swimming pool, tennis courts, creeks and its namesake waterfalls. Pretty as a picture, the central business district rings a small lake with a picturesque gazebo in the middle.

This cabin makes a great home base for trips to many major tourist attractions including: The Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, The U.S. Air Force Academy, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, the U.S. Olympic Training Center and many more. Shoppers will love a day trip to Manitou Springs or Old Colorado City. Outdoorsmen will find great hiking, fishing, golf, 4-wheeling and biking nearby.

The parking situation is limited, and strict. There are just two marking parking spaces for guests. If additional vehicle are coming up - they will have to be parked in town across from the police department and along the main road next to the creek - and you will need to shuttle the people up. (just minutes away from the cabin).

Genuine rustic log cabin!

  • 3 of 5

The cabin has a rustic charm and is spacious for additional guests. Very nice deck and patios for sitting outside and eating or relaxing. We felt for a short stay it would be a neat experience but we stayed 16 days and the lack of a washer/dryer was very inconvenient. Don't want to visit Colorado to sit in a laundromat. The lack of linens was a problem. We had plenty of pillows but no pillowcases for them. I went to the Goodwill store to purchase extra pillowcases. There were no extra sheets to change the beds. We took extra towels because I had read a previous review which said they would be needed. I should have taken washcloths, dish cloths, and kitchen towels as well. We always enjoy Colorado and we did have a nice stay but these improvements would really help.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, We are genuinely sorry to hear that you were at all dissatisfied with your stay. I wish we had known that there was a problem with the wash cloths and pillow cases so we could have taken care of it immediately. This was merely a housekeeping mistake, and we are sorry that we did not have the opportunity to make it right. Due to the size of the cabin and the short amount of time that we have in between guests, we are not able to provide duplicate linens for guests. Again, I am so sorry that this was inconvenient for you. We do hope to have you as a guest again, and also hope that if there is any issue you will let us know so we can right the wrong. A note to future guests: The beds will be made upon arrival, and there will be towels for 10 guests. As mentioned, this cabin does not have a laundry facility. We do provide laundry supplies (under the kitchen cabinet), if you would like to make a laundromat trip. We also would be happy to schedule a linen change out for a small fee for longer stays. Best Wishes, Property Management Specialists

Great time in a quaint cabin

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this roomy old cabin with lots of charm! The cabin is old and so are the furnishings but the beds were comfortable (the basement bedroom has a full sized bed, not a queen as the picture indicates ). The views and hikes nearby are wonderful... we really enjoyed the outdoor decks) the kitchen was not as clean as I expected and trash liners would have been nice.

Cool house with lots of character!

What a great house in a quiet neighborhood tucked away in the mountains. Not far from town, but feels like you're in the midddle of the forest!

Perfect mountain cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We loved every minute of our stay! The cabin was perfect! I loved the authentic character of the cabin, but really appreciated the modern dishwasher and appliances! The kitchen had everything I needed to cook our meals and we loved eating our dinners on the patio in the cool night air. We enjoyed being so close to the mountains and so many different hiking options. We can't wait to come back again. We are already planning next year's trip!

Loved it.

  • 5 of 5

Loved the rustic feel of the house. It worked perfect for 7 adults. We had a problem with the drain for the basement bathtub, and called the owner right away and left a message. They contacted us and sent someone out to fix it that same day. Didn't have another problem with it. Very impressed by the way our problem was handled. The views were fabulous. Liked the fact that their we trails for people to hike on around the house.
