About Miki & Tom
We came to Chattanooga on an ArtsMove Grant from Bradenton, Florida where we were one of a group of artists instrumental in creating The Village of the Arts, the largest arts enclave on the Gulf Coast.
Miki & Tom purchased this House in 2007
Why Miki & Tom chose Southside Historic District
We fell in love with Chattanooga, and being urban pioneers, we love living right downtown. There is so much happening in this medium sized culturally rich city with a myriad of activities for singles and families alike.
What makes this House unique
We are walking distance to great restaurants and right around the corner from the free electric shuttle bus or bike rentals along the way to take you anywhere around downtown ending at the Tennessee River. The Aquarium, live theatre, Symphony, movie theatre and much much more. And there is off-street parking behind the house.

Warmth, Harmony & Location
The residence was a delightful surprise and a perfect location for our week-end. The owners are thoughtful and attentive to guests needs.
The pictures do not do justice to this home which is filled with art and obviously was created with both great care and talent by the owners. We were still discovering little niches and surprises on our last day.
It easily accommodated our party of 4 adults with the capacity to sleep more. While there, we both cooked and dined out. The residence has a lovely kitchen and is so centrally located that either choice is easy. Our only regret was that our stay was short!
We would definitely stay here on our next long week-end in Chattanooga.
Thanks for your kind words. We aim to please! And we deeply appreciate you're leaving the Residence in such fine condition. You are welcome back anytime!
Fun, fabulous apartment!
We spent two nights in this fabulous, arty space and absolutely loved it. We were in town for the IronMan 70.3 race, and loved having lots of space to spread out gear, a full fridge, and a washer and dryer. The off-street parking was great, and the location was a short drive to Riverfront Park area, where we spent much of our weekend.
There were lots of restaurants within walking distance and we really enjoyed The Public House for dinner and The Frothy Monkey for breakfast.
Tom and Miki were gracious hosts and welcomed us warmly. The artwork throughout the apartment is fantastic!
We hope to come back for a longer stay, and would definitely book this charming space again!
Convenient and Comfortable
Great Hosts and ensured everything was to our liking. Very close to restaurants and activities.
Great house in a wonderful neighborhood!
Four of us came out to Chattanooga for a girl's trip. We drove down from the Nashville airport and Miki met us when we pulled up and showed us around the house. The house was very nice and had a nice vibe with all of Miki's art work. They had private parking around the back. There were 2 rooms with 2 twin beds in each room. There is only one shower but there are 2 bathrooms so that worked out fine. All of the amenities were very nice. The neighborhood is great. We sat out on the front porch and any one walking or driving by was very friendly. The area looks like it's going through some transition so there are lots of new bars and restaurants and we were able to walk everywhere. Miki and Tom were very nice and helpful with information and suggestions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Beautiful and Convenient
The resident artist and her husband have created not just a beautiful accomodation, but an art experience. Designed perfectly and yummy to the eye it is just two blocks from a smaller "downtown" area complete with restaurants and the Chattanooga Choo Choo and Chocolatier (superb hot chocolate) is just a 1/2 block further. The free shuttle to the river/downtown is next to the Choo Choo. I was reminded of european visits where we walked/rode public transportation to everything. And Miki and Tom were GREAT hosts. Thank you !!
Artsy and comfy place to stay😊
Great location! Wonderful hosts
Located downtown in the historic Southside arts district, we love being able to walk to restaurants and down to the waterfront. Our favorite breakfast/lunch place is the Bluegrass Grille at the corner. The Flying Squirrel and The Terminal, just two of our favorite local watering holes, are a couple of blocks away. Five minutes by car is Ruby Falls, The Incline Railway, and Rock City. Voted the #2 arts destination in a mid-sized City and Where to Retire Magazine voted it one of the top places in the country to live (Mar/Apr 2011). (The owners made the cover). Rich in cultural and outdoor activities, fabulous restaurants, and lots of attractions and Seasonal festivals. Just 1-1/2 hours from Atlanta, and 10 minutes from the Chattanooga Metropolitan airport.
Golf: There are more than six municipal golf courses within fifteen minutes to half an hour of downtown with moderate price ranges.
