Property manager Rick was very accommodating
Food at lodge was delicious
Comfortable and beautiful setting.
This is an interesting property in a beautiful setting. In winter you may want the security of a car that is good in snow as the driveway, though well plowed, was long. Though the property is somewhat remote in winter, Littleton was an easy drive and a fun town. The space and the furniture were quite cozy, bedrooms comfortable. Best not to plan to cook more than basic meals as the kitchen is tiny and has just the basics.
Clean, simple, great views
I very much enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time in the living room with a roaring fire. Thank you.
clean and tidy and cozy and Andrew was really easy to communicate with
Beautiful Location, Accomodation Caretaker!
Although this property is only about 15 minutes from Littleton, it is secluded and beautiful and looks over a lake down the hill. The pictures are very accurate, so you know exactly what to expect. The property is clean and cozy. We stayed at the end of December, and although it was cold, snowy, and windy outside, we stayed warm and toasty. As stated in the description, it is a duplex with a kitchenette. As such, I would compare it to getting two rooms in a hotel. Having stayed in most of the hotels in the area, this is a much better option. You get the rooms, the spacious living room with fireplace and tv, the dining area, and the incredible view. And it’s much less expensive. Andrew, the caretaker, was very helpful and accommodating. He lives in the other part of the house, but other than a quick wave, we never saw him, so we felt that we had plenty of privacy and quiet which was just what we were looking for. Thanks Andrew!
About Rick Doucette
Ogontz Arts event center is a privately owned facility on Ogontz lake supporting many different arts organizations. During our summer season, children, families, and professionals in different arts fields gather to create and educate in music, dance and theatre. Ogontz also owns two private properties (distanced from its camp operation) that it rents to help defer the costs of its arts programming. Renting this property from us supports this venture.
